Chapter 395: Chapter 10 Low Rank Devil

Eleanor kipped up, holding her sword and shield and leaping from the floor.

Her gaze swiftly swept over the area below, where the front door on the ground floor had been broken open, and a massive hound stood in the center of the living room. Its red fur was so vivid that it seemed to be burning, and its eyes were as deep black as coal.

Even more terrifying, it had three heads. Each head possessed a massive gash that stretched to its ears, dense and sharp teeth like those of a shark, and constantly drooling saliva.

Cerberus, the three-headed hound of Hell.

This ferocious creature charged up the stairs, leaving scorched marks on the ground it crossed. Eleanor calmly raised her shield, timed her move perfectly, and from a higher position, she heavily smashed it down.

Rhino Top!

Even though the three-headed hound possessed immense strength, it couldn’t withstand the Physical Power of Eleanor’s level 9, instantly tumbling down the stairs with a clattering din, completely disoriented.

"What’s going on?" Aske, wielding his Dragon Bone Longsword, rushed out from his room while the door to the neighboring room also swung open. Clad in pajamas, the lady of the house peeked out, half of her face filled with horror.

"Go back to your room, protect your child, do not come out without my order," Aske quickly instructed her. She, as if awakening from a dream, hurriedly shut the door with force, followed by the sound of dragging a cabinet to block it.

"Eleanor, return to Fire Island, wake the girls, and then teleport out together," Aske quickly ordered.

"Alright." Eleanor swiftly teleported to Fire Island.

Aske walked down the stairs; the three-headed hound had already picked itself up, glaring at Aske as if facing a great enemy, emitting a wary and fearful whimper.

This creature’s body contained low-rank ’Spiritual Materials’ known as "Conspiracy" and "Intuition." It could sense the tremendous malice emanating from Aske and detect the exceedingly dangerous aura around him.

Before it could decide between "Testing Attack" and "Tucking Tail to Run," Aske charged forward, holding the Dragon Bone Longsword, and slashed deeply.

The three-headed hound agilely jumped back to dodge but didn’t expect Aske to abruptly stop his swinging sword and thrust it instead, striking it midair.

As a special creature of Purgatory, Cerberus could derive a small Buff enhancement from pain. The more severe the injury, the faster its attack power and life recovery rate.

However, just after being struck by this one sword, the creature suddenly realized in panic that its spirituality was rapidly diminishing.

The residual toxin from Agrippina on the blade gave it a nasty surprise, and without a doubt, it lacked the immense Spiritual Power of a demigod, quickly falling into a complete loss of control. It rolled on the ground in agony, as if caught in the throes of rabies, like a wild beast.

Aske casually picked up the long spear that Eleanor had left on the ground and stabbed the three-headed hound of Hell to death on the wooden floor.

Monsters like the three-headed hound were known as novices’ bane mainly because it could attack within a 270-degree range in front of it. A slight lack of attention could lead to a bite, and its saliva was so corrosive that a single bite could incapacitate a person.

Of course, for Aske, taking it down single-handedly was no problem.

Using a Magic Copper Container, Aske collected some saliva and blood from the three-headed hound, just as he mixed them together, he saw the girls teleporting around swiftly.

"A three-headed hound of Hell?" Medea glanced at the familiar corpse on the ground, then at the container in Aske’s hands, "What’s that? A mixture of its saliva and blood?"

"The saliva of the three-headed hound is corrosive, and its blood is toxic, but when mixed together, they become a safe and effective paralyzing drug," Aske explained as he handed the container to Medea.

"You missed one thing," Medea said, "Considering the toxin from the demigod on your sword, could this concoction take down a demigod?"

"Should be fine, just keep it for now," Aske replied. "It might come in handy later."

"Why has Cerberus appeared here?" Thira moved to the window, hearing the faint screams and roars outside. "It seems we’re not the only household being attacked."

"Leave one person here to guard," Aske swiftly ordered. "Everyone else, follow me to clear the monsters."

"I’ll do it," Eleanor volunteered.

"Mia, you stay," Aske overruled her suggestion—no MT should ever leave their squad.

"Wait, why me?" Mia protested. "What will you guys do without me?"

"Mia," Aske patted her head earnestly, "a large-scale monster attack is happening outside, and this household’s lady is completely defenseless. We need a loyal and reliable mercenary to protect them." fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

"This mercenary must be extremely skilled in solo combat, highly mobile in confined indoor spaces, adept at fighting with cold weapons, and capable of efficiently killing enemies with quick reflexes and agility. After thinking it over, I believe you’re the only one in the team who is up to the task."

"Ahh, you’re impossible," Mia, blushing from his words, chuckled helplessly, then dissolved into the shadows behind the door. "Then I’ll just stay here."

"Let’s go," Aske gestured with a sweeping motion.

The group burst out the door, only to see several knights who had already charged out, now battling Purgatory’s monsters in the streets.

A few Cerberi, about a dozen winged little demons, and a sturdy lower demon were overpowering the knights, who stood no chance of fighting back. If it weren’t for the shields in two of the knights’ hands, they would have been killed on the spot.

Eleanor and Sigrdrifa were the first to charge out. With the integrated circuits in their Power Armor burnt out by the Magic Tide, both were just clad in simple metal armor.

The former swept her Long Spear horizontally in a fan shape, repelling the three-headed dogs attacking the knights, while the latter, wielding a Battle Axe, charged at the lower demon and leapt high into the air from a distance of five or six meters.

Leap strike!

The lower demon, over three meters tall, was covered in uneven bumps and spikes, resembling an enormous monkey, its arms as thick as tree trunks.

Seeing this reckless human dare to attack alone, it swung its right arm upward in a fierce arc, aiming at Sigrdrifa in the air.

Their giant limb clashed with the North Wind Axe, but the muscular arm, seemingly as fragile as paper mache, was instantly chopped into two by the North Wind Axe.

Sigrdrifa landed on the ground and swiftly retreated backwards, as the grievously injured lower demon instantly curled up into a ball, its large spikes protruding outward, ready to shoot out in all directions.

Suddenly, a figure flashed in front of the lower demon, with a blaze of red sword light leaping across its body.

The spikes from the lower demon shot out like arrows, pinning the surrounding ground densely, but there were no attacks towards the front where the group was standing—its aimed "bullets" were cut off by Peggy with her Hot Melt Blade along with the "gun chamber," revealing gruesomely carved flesh and muscles.

With the last high-temperature Hot Melt Blade strike, Peggy thrust directly upward through the lower demon’s lower jaw into its head.

Peggy, with a reverse grip, plunged deeply into the body, then deftly pulled out the blade, and sulfuric blood gushed out like a fountain.

"Look out, Peggy!" Eleanor’s voice suddenly rang out.

The Cerberi that she had pushed back with her spear had quickly abandoned the can-like knights, and along with countless winged little demons in the sky, closed in overwhelmingly on Peggy, who now stood alone beside the lower demon’s body.
