Rewriting My Fate in the Apocalypse-Chapter 164: What if We Have a Baby?

Lu Zhen and Leng Pan had decided to wait for Lu Tao to make those communication devices before they could go check out that laboratory because they didn’t want their family to worry about them if they couldn’t get in touch with them.

"Why don’t we take a rest for the next few days? We’ve been on the move, training every day since the apocalypse began. We haven’t had any time to stay home and relax. Let’s do that today." Leng Pan suggested once they were done talking to assistant Yao.

"I’ll listen to my wife. If you don’t want to go out, then we won’t go. Let’s relax if that is what you want." Lu Zhen, as a wife slave, agreed immediately to his wife’s suggestion.

Assistant Yao, seeing that he was starting to become a 500 watts bulb, stood up and said goodbye to the two bosses before leaving.

They had just moved to a new apartment and hadn’t had time to arrange everything or unpack. Thus, he decided to spend the day doing such chores.

He went back to the top floor to unpack the stuff in the boxes and began arranging their new home.

Many people may see it as pointless because in the apocalypse, you never know where you will be living the next moment, but he preferred to make where he was staying comfortable even if they will live there for a short time.

He had a feeling that things would get complicated in the future considering that his boss doesn’t seem to be a simple man anymore.

He had a feeling that his boss was going to be a big part of the force that fights the apocalypse and changes the world, and he wanted to be a part of that. History has always been made by men or women who are not afraid to take risks, and he was willing to risk everything with his boss, even his life.

"Do you think it would be wise to have a baby in the current environment?" Leng Pan suddenly asked out of the blue.

Lu Zhen, who had been sitting on the sofa and reading a book while accompanying his wife who had decided to watch a movie, was surprised by her thought process.

Where did such a random question come from? Lu Zhen started to wonder if there was a trap in the question. It is always said that women don’t ask such questions for no reason.

Could she be pregnant and now wants to see if he wants the baby? It might be challenging to have a child at the moment when zombies were everywhere and social amenities non-existent, but if his wife got pregnant, he would do everything in his power to protect her and the child.

"I don’t think it’s a good idea since we have not gotten to the current situation yet and special protocols are not in place to regulate life after the apocalypse. Although I don’t think that is going to happen.

But, if we get pregnant, then we will have the child no matter what. It is the fruit of our love and our own flesh and blood. So, we will have the baby and we will protect him or her." Lu Zhen could only give the answer he felt was the most fitting at that moment because he didn’t know why the question was asked in the first place.

"That’s true. If we got pregnant, we would protect the child with everything we have. But we should probably avoid it for now until we have a stable life and are assured of safety.

I have a feeling that things are not as simple as the world crumbling around us. It is as if there is a force controlling everything from behind. However, it seemed that us taking that thing had somehow put a dent in this force’s plans." Leng Pan explained her opinion about everything that had been happening.

If Lu Tao hadn’t discovered the group calling themselves the dominion, or the issue of the laboratory, maybe they could have assumed that nature had grown tired of supporting people who were ruining it and decided to cleanse the earth through the zombie virus and various disasters. But knowing what they now knew, it was obvious that things were not as simple as they seemed.

"Let’s play it by ear. We will take on whatever comes our way. As long as we are together, I feel that I have the energy to fight for three hundred rounds. Speaking of fighting, I feel a little too energetic right now and need to exercise a little to reduce it. So..." As Lu Zhen finished speaking he had already taken away the tablet Leng Pan was using to watch a movie on and his hands had already started to explore the curves of her body.

It did not take long for moans and grunts to fill the apartment. The two moved from the living room to the balcony, to the bedroom, and ended up in the bathroom. It was a long day for them.

So long that they forgot to go eat lunch and as if the elders understood, no one went to bother them.

It was not until that evening that the two showed up glowing as if they had spent the day at a beauty spa instead of wrestling around the house.

"Sweetheart, come take a look and see if this design suits you. I made a body suit using the material you provided and it really is of high quality. Even though I am not a professional designer or tailor, I think this body suit couldn’t have been better. Come on, try it and see if it fits." Li Yunjia called out to her daughter-in-law as soon as she entered through the door.

Leng Pan was touched that the first outfit her mother-in-law made was hers. She took it and went to her mother-in-law’s bedroom to try it out and as it turned out, it fit her perfectly.
