The other aliens didn’t seem to be affected by their companion’s death, they kept fighting without a pause.

One of them released a wave of purple energy.

The blast struck Lu Hao midair and he was thrown backwards several meters.

Leng Pan’s heart skipped, but before she could act, Lu Hao stabilized himself as if nothing had happened.

Golden lightning surged from his body, stronger than before.

His eyes had also begun glowing golden as if something within him had awakened.

The lightning around him condensed into lightning spears that resembled Zeus’s weapon.

Then, they exploded outward.

CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!

Hundreds of lightning arcs shot through the sky like a spiderweb.

What made it even more mysterious was how they chased after the enemy as if they had eyes.

Four aliens were struck directly and screamed as electricity surged through their bodies.

Below, the fighters engaging on the ground were completely stunned.

"Wow! My second brother is insane." Lu Tao whispered and a few others who heard him nodded their heads.

Even though they had seen Lu Hao fight before, this level of power was on an entirely different scale.

Meanwhile, the dragons roared.

One dragon dived toward a group of aliens attempting to flank the force on the ground.

Even without instructions, the dragons knew to attack enemies and fight on instinct. They no longer needed Lu Zhen and Leng Pan to guide them telepathically or infuse spiritual energy into them.

The massive claws of the dragon swept through the air. One alien tried to block the attack. The aliens truly understatement the strength of these dragons.

The dragon’s claws crushed the alien’s armor like paper.

The alien was slammed into the ground with a thunderous impact.

The second dragon unleashed a torrent of flames that forced several aliens back.

The battlefield had turned chaotic very quickly.

Fire, lightning, stone, metal, and Leng Pan’s water superpowers filled the sky.

Leng Pan jumped back on the dragon’s back, observing everything.

Her mind moved rapidly, coming up with strategies to fit the situation.

These aliens were strong... but they weren’t invincible.

Their shields required energy, and their coordination wasn’t perfect. They were probably not a team and was just a motley crew brought together out of necessity.

So, this meant that the aliens relied on individual strength and if they were to be separated, then their team would be crippled completely and could be eliminated one by one.

She suddenly raised her hand.

"Earth team! Open the ground traps now!"

Immediately after the order was given, the ground below several aliens split open.

This was the advantage of training the team military style. They followed orders without questions, which helped in executing tactics accurately.

Deep pits appeared suddenly as stone spikes shot upward from within. These seemed to be traps already prepared earlier.

These people really hadn’t been idle even for a moment.

Two aliens were caught off guard and fell directly into the traps.

"Metal team." Leng Pan continued to give instructions while she also fought with other aliens and assisted those who were in danger from time to time.

Upon hearing the call for the metal team, long metal chains shot across the battlefield and wrapped around the trapped aliens.

Without waiting for instructions, fire ability users launched concentrated attacks into the pits.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Explosions erupted as flames engulfed the enemies trapped in the pits.

Lu Zhen, who was fighting across the sky was also paying attention on this direction and when he saw the aliens trapped and burning but still struggling with the chains and trying to free themselves, he shot a small ball of crimson purple flame that increased the temperature of the flames in the pit by hundreds of degrees instantly.

When the smoke cleared, both aliens were motionless and resembled charred coal.

Cheers erupted even as the battle continued but the alien leader’s expression darkened.

For the first time since arriving, it looked slightly irritated.

It seemed that it hadn’t expected the humans it looked down on to be so troublesome.

"Primitive tactics," it said coldly.

Leng Pan rolled her eyes while still on the dragon and commented proudly, "As long as they work."

Yeah, who cared what kind of tactics were used? As long as they worked in killing the enemy and keeping them safe, who cared what tactics they used?

The alien seemed to have gotten tired of playing and raised its hands, the portal behind it expanded, surprising everyone.

Leng Pan’s pupils shrank. "More coming?"

She hadn’t expected this at all.

The distortion widened and dark silhouettes began appearing inside the portal.

A few dozens of them walked out.

Lu Zhen looked at this scene and his expression hardened. He had thought that the aliens that showed up with the leader was all it brought. It turns out that was just the first wave.

Lu Hao floated beside him, lightning still crackling around his body.

This was the first time the two brothers looked completely synchronized, their expressions almost identical.

They had cold expressions and their lips were pursed as if irritated. Their dark eyes watched the leader like prey.

Anyone else would have been trembling just from the intense looks from the brothers.

Just like his brother, Lu Zhen’s body also began releasing flames that didn’t burn his clothes.

Now, the two looked like twin walking disasters.

Below them, the battlefield fell into a brief, tense silence.

Then Leng Pan’s voice rang out across the battlefield.

"Everyone, we are fighting for our future and the future of all humans. It is the future of generations to come. So, no matter what, do not retreat. If they want to test earth, then let them know we are not to be messed with."

She slowly drew her tang sword, which she hadn’t used in a long time.

"Let’s show them what happens to invaders." She added.

Above the battlefield, the portal continued expanding as more aliens prepared to descend.

The real battle was only just beginning.
