As the portal in the sky twisted and dark energy rippled outward, dozens of alien figures stepped through the distortion one after another. They floated in the air in eerie silence, their violet eyes glowing like stars in the night sky.

For a brief moment, the battlefield fell into an uneasy stillness. Those above watched the humans below and those opposite them, while the humans observed their enemies carefully as if looking for flaws.

What Leng Pan found from her probe was unbelievable.

These aliens carried stronger pressure than those they had just eliminated.

It seemed that as long as that portal remained open, stronger enemies would keep coming.

Lu Tao swallowed unconsciously as he tightened his grip on his weapon.

"Are they... all commanders?" he whispered.

He had fought a commander before and he thought that its strength was similar to these aliens now.

"No," Ouyang Jin replied while staring at the sky with narrowed eyes. "But they’re definitely elites."

He was more experienced in battle. Especially battles with aliens, so he knew a thing or two.

The alien leader stood calmly as its reinforcements gathered behind it.

It seemed very pleased with itself, or was it the shocked expressions on the humans?

The battlefield that had once been a simple extermination mission had turned into a full-scale war.

Lu Zhen hovered in the air beside Lu Hao, flames swirling around him like a living storm. Licking and distorting the air around him.

His sharp eyes scanned the new arrivals quickly.

There were thirty or forty new additions.

Each one carried the same armored body structure and violet energy fluctuations.

"Baby." He called out softly and Leng Pan led the dragon to hover next to him.

"I can see them." Leng Pan said solemnly.

She already knew what her husband wanted to say.

Her voice remained calm despite the sudden escalation.

Standing on the dragon’s back, her sharp gaze locked onto the alien leader.

The enemy had come prepared. But so what? So did they.

"Everyone," Leng Pan’s voice rang through the air, "change to formation two."

Below, the fighters moved instantly.

Months of strict training had created an instinctive response to her commands.

Metal ability users formed a secondary assault group.

The ordinary fighters regrouped into harassment teams designed to create chaos in enemy ranks.

Above the battlefield, the alien leader tilted its head slightly. Observing them and not understanding what they were doing.

"Primitive creatures.... your resistance is still meaningless." It said softly but the voice carried through the battlefield.

Leng Pan smirked faintly.

"Meaningless?" she murmured. This alien had no idea what was coming for it.

Her fingers tightened around the hilt of her tang sword.

The newly arrived aliens seemed to feel challenged and rushed out to attack.

Like arrows released from a bow, dozens of alien warriors shot toward the battlefield.

"Attack." Leng Pan shouted and the moment her command fell, chaos descended once more.

The battlefield exploded.

Dozens of fireballs shot into the sky.

Compressed water blades whistled through the air like spinning daggers.

Massive stone pillars erupted from the ground, forming an irregular forest of spikes.

Metal ability users launched steel spears upward with explosive force.

The sky turned into a deadly storm.

The aliens reacted immediately and purple shields flickered to life around many of them as attacks collided midair.

Just as Leng Pan had expected, these aliens were much stronger and their reaction speed was also faster.

Moreover, they worked more like a team, with good coordination.

Several aliens worked together to block incoming attacks while others dove toward the ground at terrifying speed.

"Here they come!" someone shouted.

And the humans on the ground used the same tactics as before.

Anywhere, the newly emerged aliens hadn’t seen them before.

A group of five aliens descended toward the earth ability users.

Before they could land, the ground split open and a massive pit suddenly appeared beneath them.

Stone spikes shot upward like the teeth of a giant beast and two aliens were skewered instantly.

However, the others reacted quickly as purple energy burst from their bodies as they blasted themselves upward again.

But at that exact moment, chains, dozens of chains shot across the battlefield and wrapped around them.

The trapped aliens struggled violently.

"Fire team!" someone yelled.

A rain of flames poured into the pit.

BOOM!

The explosion shook the battlefield.

It was the exact tactic all the way to the smallest detail, yet it worked just as well as the first time.

Above the chaos on the ground, lightning exploded from Lu Hao’s body as he vanished.

CRACK!

A bolt of golden lightning struck an alien mid-flight causing its shield to shatter instantly.

Before it could react, Lu Hao appeared beside it and his fist wrapped in lightning connected with its chest. A large hole appeared on the upper body of the alien as it shot lifeless towards the ground.

’This guy was really brutal.’ Leng Pan, who was fighting other aliens, thought to herself.

The alien leader seemed to realize that he was on the verge of losing its second team and finally made a move.

Just raising its hands, the gravity on the battlefield turned heavy. Even Lu Hao felt as if he had submerged in water. His speed slowed down.

"Trying to restrain me again?" Lu Hao muttered coldly.

The lightning exploded outward, disrupting the gravity field momentarily.

But the alien leader was already pointing another finger toward him.

Three elite aliens instantly broke away from the battlefield and rushed toward Lu Hao.

It looked like they were communicating telepathically.

"Trying to capture him again," Leng Pan muttered. "Dream on." She said.

Water spiraled beneath her feet as she shot forward through the sky, her tang sword flashing.

She pointed the sword at the oncoming aliens and a massive blade of compressed water shot forward like a crescent moon.

The attack intercepted the three incoming aliens.
