RISE OF EROS-Chapter 662 - 561
Obviously, Andrew was showing them that they were the ones who came to see him and not him who needed or longed to see them. Although it was a subtle move, it was very effective.

When all the demigods saw that the one who greeted them was Gaston, they immediately had an annoyed expression, but it was only for a microsecond, as they were able to hide it very well.
All of these demigods are great powers on the continent. No one has not heard a story or two about them and the fact that they had lived for more than 1,000 years made them not only ancient but wise and intelligent.
They had lived through many things, and they had plenty of experience, so it was obvious to them that Andrew was not giving them the respect they deserved or, rather, that they expected.
In their minds, Andrew, even though he was a candidate for god, was not such an important figure. At this moment, they were more powerful and the ones who could face the enemies.
Furthermore, Andrew was not a god candidate with a battle proficiency, so he was even more useless in the upcoming battle, at least in their minds that is what they think. To them, Andrew was just a key to achieving godhood, as he would eventually become a god, so they thought that Andrew should be more than eager to have them as allies.
However, the fact that he did not even welcome them personally was a way to humiliate them. Still, they did not show it, as they still needed Andrew and did not want to make his enemy.
Another reason why they decided to remain calm despite this trick was that they believed that this was all a scheme by Crhono. They knew that the ancient dragon and Andrew had a deep connection and that the dragon would make him act in order to take advantage of them.
The reality was that, while it was all a plan that Crhono had developed, the purpose was not to take advantage, but to protect Andrew. They still did not know if there were any enemies present, so it was better to be safe.
Despite everything, Gaston was very respectful and his manners as a noble and Candice’s teacher raised how to address them. His tone and actions were calm, with much respect, but he was not servile.
It was another of the strategies they had adopted. In this way, it was shown that they respected them as elders, but they did not put them on a pedestal. These elders were intelligent and picked up on all these subtleties.
Still, they still thought it was Crhono’s plan, so they did not show their displeasure and continued the game. After the polite greetings, Gaston led them to the office, where Andrew was waiting for them.
Gaston and the other guardians or those close to Andrew, never needed to announce themselves or knock on the door, but they had to act, so Gaston did all the protocol that a butler would do.
He approached the door and knocked gently saying, "Young master, Mr. Crhono, Mr. Zaros, Mr. Elidyr, and the other guests have arrived." This was another move they had planned.
In a nutshell, they were dividing the identities and importance of the guests. By mentioning the names of Crhono, Zaros, and Elidyr, they were showing that they had special treatment over the others.
It was even more shocking, as Gaston referred to the ancestor of the dragons by name, something that very few dared to do. In fact, among those present, only Samanuel had that right.
Gaston paid no attention to their expressions or thoughts, he just waited for Andrew to say, "Come in," and then opened the door and invited everyone in. Obviously, Crhono, Zaros, and Elidyr led the way and entered first.
Unlike when Zaros or Crhono visited them, there was only Andrew in the office. There was no one else, as they were not needed. All the elders entered and saw Andrew sitting behind his desk. Stay connected via novelbuddy
Each of them looked at Andrew curiously. Their eyes were not ordinary, they were all at the pinnacle of their races, so they had uncommon abilities, so they used them to assess Andrew.
They were subtle, so Andrew did not feel uncomfortable. In fact, he did not feel anything from them. Andrew, who was pretending to be looking through documents, looked up and said, "Please take a seat. May I offer you something to drink?"
These elders were not ordinary people, so they did not feel pressured and confidently took seats on the sofas arranged in the office. None of them asked for anything, as they were not simple guests who would drink their low-quality wine or tea.
At least that was expected, but Crhono asked for tea just like Elidyr and Zaros was more extravagant and asked for wine. They had already discussed this and although the tea and wine that Andrew offered them was nothing special to them, they wanted to show that they saw him as an equal.
Accepting drinks is a courtesy and despite their differences in power, it shows that they treated him as an equal. The other guests had dark expressions, as they were tired of the games.
Since they arrived they had been disrespecting them at every step, but they couldn’t say anything, as they needed something from them, so they swallowed their pride. Gaston served the drinks and after bowing to Andrew he left.
That was the last act of annoying the guests that Gaston made. Normally, when there are important guests, the employees bow to everyone when they say goodbye, but Gaston only does it for Andrew.
That may not be important, but for the proud demigods it was. Once Gaston had left, Draneg couldn’t contain himself and asked with a sarcastic tone, "You really put effort into this, didn’t you?"
The others nodded, but lightly as if they didn’t want the others to notice that they agreed. Crhono, Zaros, and Elidyr ignored the question as if it had nothing to do with them, but Andrew couldn’t do the same.
"What do you mean?" Andrew asked, feigning confusion, to which Draneg couldn’t hold back and replied, "Ever since we arrived, you’ve been provoking us. You disrespect us by not serving us, and your employee is insolent."
Andrew furrowed his eyebrows and calmly replied, "How is that a provocation? As far as I know, it’s you who want to see me." Everyone was surprised by Andrew’s answer.
Although they were true, saying them was a different matter. He wasn’t really putting them in his eyes. All of this was nothing more than the inflated ego of these demigods who have been on top for so long that they think everyone should revere them.
"I see that the young man is sharp-tongued," was the only thing Draneg said, but Andrew paid no attention and changed the subject, "Well, let’s leave that nonsense aside. "Elder Chorno told me that they wanted to meet me, here they are, what do you need?"
