Rise of The Anti God-Chapter 696: No Time To Waste
"How and when did you get in?" Damien felt that this woman just seemed to be filled with secrets.
"Look, we can waste our time talking here, or you can just free me now, and I can guide you all to safety," Farah said with a narrowed gaze.
"Are you serious? Letting a snake like you out?" Damien asked with curled lips.
"I am the only one who knows the Old World. You have no choice but to take your chances with me. Otherwise, we all are going to die here. Time waits for none," Farah said with a subtle smirk.
Damien couldn't even tell if she was being sincere or not, and even if he had no trust in her and didn't want to free her, he couldn't help but think about the potential help she was offering. He was in a dilemma and didn't know if freeing her was for the better or for the worst.
He had kept her imprisoned for so long, and a woman like her would surely take revenge for that. The problem was nobody could predict when.
"Let me guess the plague must be caused due to an egg, right? That big black egg is surely absorbing the life of this continent. And in case you are wondering, Tristen never told me about the egg. Trust me, you don't want to be here when that egg hatches," Farah said with furrowed brows.
*Thwang!*
Damien suddenly smashed the lock of the metal cell as it came open, making Farah smile as she stepped out while dusting her clothes.
"You really don't hold back on a pretty woman like me, do you? Now free my cultivation too, please?" Farah asked with a seductive tilt of her head.
Valentina felt like cutting the smile off her face, but she was trying her best to suppress her urges.
Damien sighed as he freed her cultivation as well and saw Farah exhale in relief once she felt her body rejuvenating itself with ethereal energy.
"Damien! The plague seemed to have stopped suddenly!" Lily's voice echoed in Damien's mind, making his brows raise in surprise.
"The plague stopped? Are you sure?"
"Yes. We are. But we don't know if it stopped for good or not," Reva answered.
Damien shook his head subtly as if he felt that the plague wouldn't stop unless something big happened.
He decided to ask the expert as he asked Farah, "I just got the news that the plague stopped spreading. What does this mean? Are we safe? You better tell me the truth."
"The plague stopped? Oh no…" Farah covered her mouth with an uneasy expression.
Damien became even more worried seeing her reaction as he asked, "What? Why do you seem so shocked by it?"
"Because if the plague stopped, it means the egg has hatched. I cannot face an Abominable Fiend like this. Quick! You have to get me out of this doomed continent. I am sure Anton Vahn must have left a way out," Farah frantically said.
Damien pointed his finger at her as he said with a stern look, "You are not going anywhere unless we leave this continent together. Tell me more about this monster called the Abominable Fiend and how we can take it down."
"Ughhhhhhh," Farah smacked her forehead in frustration as she said, "You can't! It can lay waste to this entire continent on its own. And if you try to face it, you will get the life sucked out of you within seconds, and there is nothing you can do about it unless you got a Master in the Old World, which I still suspect you do. There is no way you have such mastery over death without an expert master."
"Sigh, these mortals are at least not dumb," Luna casually said with a yawn.
"Even if I have one, it doesn't matter since we are all alone here. So you have to tell me a way or at least a way which would ensure the safety of everyone in this continent," Damien knew that the empires in this continent and its subjects were important to his wives.
As princesses, they had a responsibility to ensure the safety of their people and also to protect the heritage left behind by their ancestors.
Farah crossed her arms and said, "If you don't mind making a deal with Ruthren, then you will have to ask him to let all the people of this continent out through the gate. Since he must have all the keys, that is an option. But of course, there is also a 99% chance he will kill you anyways."
"He is dead. So we can't bother about the gate since I have no idea where the keys are now. And opening the gateway is not an option. Who knows what awaits us on the other side," Damien said with a shake of his head.
"Ruthren is dead? Seriously?? Wow…it seems like you got more secrets in you than I thought. I never expected you to be that powerful. Now you seem more attractive in my eye—AH!!" Before Farah could finish her sentence, Valentina punched her in the gut, making her slump against the cell as she coughed.
"I told you to stay on the topic," Valentina said with a cutting glare.
"Cough…cough…fuck…" Farah gritted her teeth as she tried to stand up after feeling like an iron pillar rammed her stomach. She wanted to curse this violent crazy woman but didn't dare to.
"Quick! I don't have time to waste, or I am going to lock you up in the next cell," Damien said while hoping that this monster that had recently hatched wouldn't come here anytime soon.
"Okay, okay! The only other way is…for you to lead it outside of this continent. I mean…if you can't fight it but want to save everyone here, then you just got to lead it to the Old World. But the question is if you have the guts to pull it off and if you won't let it kill you in the process," Farah said with a strange smile.
