Chapter 320: Chapter 320. Attempt to Save the Prisoner

Another woman’s scream was heard. This time, the scream went on without stopping. Murmurs of conversation and occasional voices of laughter were also heard. Tuang Yin and Wu Di knew then that they were close. They proceeded even slower to avoid making any sound. They saw a light ahead of them. There was a turn straight ahead. The light and the voices came from there.

The scream became weaker over time. They arrived at the turn just as the scream stopped. They peeked inside and saw a large circular room. Chains and shackles lined along the walls. A man and a woman were shackled there. Both were naked.

Tuang Yin made a hand signal to Wu Di. The shackled woman seemed to fit the description of Amon’s mother. She didn’t look well, though. Actually, she was far from well. Cut wounds and burn wounds filled her body. She didn’t appear to be able to stand. Her legs seemed broken. She was hanging from the shackles that bound her hands. Her eyes were closed, and her face was down. It was unclear if she was alive.

The man beside her was not well but seemed better than her. He was still conscious, and his eyes were filled with fear.

At the center of the room was a large burner. Atop the burner was a metal bar. A naked woman was tied to that bar. Her back, lying on the metal bar, was visibly burned. She was not moving. She was no longer alive. She had been cooked to death on that burner. Two jailers were removing the bindings that tied the woman to the metal bar.

Another man and a woman were in the room. The woman was sitting on a chair. She was laughing as she gazed at the cooked corpse. Insanity was in her eyes.

She turned to the man beside her. "Don’t deny it, brother. You enjoyed watching as well, didn’t you?"

"Don’t be ridiculous, Yunning," Wei Linkun replied. "I’m just here to make sure you don’t kill all the prisoners. I know how you can be when you have too much fun."

"Hahaha. Say, Lin Mo is certainly not coming here. Let me cook that hag next, okay?" Wei Yunning asked.

"... No. If we have her, there is still a chance he might come," Wei Linkun said.

"You are delusional, brother. When I saw that boy during the White Cloud Tournament, I already knew he was not the kind who sacrificed himself for another. I don’t even think he will show up for his real mother, much less a stepmother."

"You don’t know that for sure..."

"It has already been weeks! Don’t you think if he is truly concerned about this hag, he would have shown up by now?"

"I said no!" Wei Linkun asserted.

"You are no fun, brother!" Wei Yunning complained. She jumped up in a rage, pulled out a small knife, and went to the corpse atop the burner. She then stabbed the corpse multiple times like a crazed maniac.

"Aahhh...! Where is the scream!" She yelled. She then turned to the shackled man on the wall and smiled.

"No... No...!" The shackled man panicked after seeing her gaze.

Wei Yunning pulled the burned woman and tossed her away like she was rubbish. She then pointed at the shackled man. "Bring him here!"

The two jailers who unbound the burned woman bowed to her and moved toward the shackled man.

"No! No! No...!!" The shackled man shouted nonstop. He tried to break away from his chains but couldn’t.

One of the jailers held him to stop him from struggling. The other one started poking multiple parts of his body. The jailer was using the meridian point technique. The shackled man stopped moving, but he could still scream. The jailers were already used to their mistress’ preference. They knew she enjoyed hearing her victims scream.

The jailer removed the shackles. The man fell into the jailer’s embrace. He continued to scream but couldn’t move away. The two jailers carried the man toward the burner.

"No! No! No! Please...!!" The man pleaded. Tears streamed from his eyes.

The two jailers ignored his pleading. Their stride was steady.

"Who?!" Wei Linkun suddenly uttered. His fist shot out, generating a surge of strong wind.

The energy from his fist collided with something, which turned out to be a large and muscular man.

"You, stupid fool! Why do you blow our cover!" Tuang Yin cursed. She also came out of hiding.

"Intruders...? How did they arrive here unnoticed?" Wei Yunning asked. She then grinned widely. "Hehe, it seems that I will gain more playthings. Good! I’m so happy! Tee-hee!"

Wei Yunning jumped up and down like a little girl who received a new doll as a gift. Her behavior made both Tuang Yin and Wu Di frown heavily. This girl had a serious loose screw in her brain.

"I always feel bad if I must go up against a woman, but I will be delighted to beat you to a pulp," Wu Di uttered.

"Oh? Are you threatening me? I would love to hear that again when I cut you up piece by piece," Wei Yunning returned.

"No one touches my sister when I’m around," Wei Linkun uttered. He came in between Wu Di and her sister.

"Beginning Mystic Stage, eh?" Wu Di flexed his muscles. "It’s not my first time facing one, but I guess this will be my first time defeating one."

"Hmph, fool," Wei Linkun sneered. "Intermediate Transformation Stage like you two stand no chance against me."

"Two? You overestimate yourself," Wu Di said. He told Tuang Yin, "You deal with that crazy woman."

"Are you sure? That is a Mystic Stage cultivator you are facing," Tuang Yin said.

"I am sure!" Wu Di exclaimed. His skin became taut, and his muscles bulged. It was his martial art, Hard Skin Strong Muscle. His mastery of this art had reached the highest Grandmaster level. His physical strength increased significantly.

His fists punched rapidly. In Wei Linkun’s eyes, these rapid punches were many, and they all came simultaneously.

"Worthless," Wei Linkun uttered. He also punched. He only punched one time, but the energy surge he generated was able to blow all of Wu Di’s punches. Wu Di lost his balance as his body was pushed back uncontrollably.

Wei Linkun then punched to the side. The punch again generated a surge of strong wind. Tuang Yin was advancing at Wei Yunning as Wu Di asked, but she made sure she was a distance away from Wei Linkun. Despite the distance, the energy surge still reached her. She hurriedly put up her arms to block. The impact sent her tumbling away.

"Haha, they are weak!" Wei Yunning laughed. She slapped her arm on the wall. A word of power flared following her touch. She then turned to the two jailers and asked, "What are you waiting for? Cook him!" freewёbnoνel.com

The man held by the two jailers started wailing again after hearing the command. He thought he had been given a respite because of these intruders. The jailers followed the command. They lifted him and brought him to the burner.

"Stop!" Wu Di exclaimed. He couldn’t stay back seeing someone get tortured in front of him.

He crouched in a low position. The ground underneath him exploded, and he shot forward at high speed. He was heading to the two jailers.

However, Wei Linkun again came in his path. He casually punched. The punch again generated a strong wind.

"Fuck off...!!" Wu Di yelled as he punched using his left fist. The fist collided with Wei Linkun’s energy wind. A powerful explosion resulted from the impact, blasting the energy wind apart. Wu Di continued to advance while alternating his punch using his right fist.

This took Wei Linkun aback, but his speed and reflex were fast enough that he dodged the second punch.

The punch missed, but something shot out from it. That something was a fist made of light. This light fist shot forward and struck one of the jailers. The jailer buckled from the impact. He vomited blood and was sent slamming into the wall.

"Tsk!" Wei Yunning swooped to catch the prisoner who fell when one of the jailers lost his grasp. She caught the prisoner before he hit the floor. She then tossed him like he was a ragged doll. He landed on the searing metal bar atop the burner. His wail turned a notch higher once he touched down.

"Ahh...! Aahhhh...!! Save me...!!!" He wailed nonstop. He couldn’t move his body because he was still incapacitated by the meridian point technique. All he could do was wail.

"Fuck!" Wu Di cursed.

"Didn’t you say you want to face me?"

Wu Di heard Wei Linkun’s voice from the side. He then felt a strong pressure on his chest. In his rush to save the prisoner, Wei Linkun landed a punch.

*Crack!*Crack!*

The sound of bone breaking was clear for everyone to hear. Wu Di’s body shot like a speeding bullet out of the room.

"Shit...," Tuang Yin uttered. She was about to rush at Wei Yunning again, but the sight of Wu Di flying away made her pause.

"Fucking big-headed brute, I knew I shouldn’t trust his big talk," Tuang Yin cursed.

"Who did you call brute?" Wu Di’s voice was heard, but it was slightly different. It was hoarse. He jumped back in from the entrance. When he landed, everyone found it hard to believe it was the same man.

Standing before them was a large gold-furred ape.
