Rise of The Demon General-Chapter 476. Departing for the Raid
Chapter 476: Chapter 476. Departing for the Raid
The soldier Amon was fighting hit the spectating soldiers at the back. He was pushed back forward. He stumbled before falling on his knees. He couldn’t get up anymore. He had trouble breathing while clutching his chest.
Amon walked back to his chair.
"Finish him!" Da Niu told Amon.
Amon ignored the general. He sat back in his chair. Da Niu rose with an angry expression. He released his suffocating aura.
"Da Niu, no need to get upset," Huang Zhan uttered. "Colonel Amon is probably the type that dislikes bloodshed."
Da Niu sneered. "Pathetic," he mocked. He walked toward the soldier who was still struggling with pain on the floor.
The soldier saw Da Niu approached. He panicked. "Ge–General...! No... No, Please spare..."
He couldn’t finish his sentence because Da Niu’s hand grabbed his head. His giant hand covered the soldier’s entire head. With a squeeze, the soldier’s head popped like a balloon.
Amon turned to Huang Zhan and said, "You thanked me for not killing your men. I thought you value your men’s lives."
"Haha! I value winners. I have no use for losers," Huang Zhan replied.
The corpse was taken out, and the floor was cleaned. After that, a group of beautiful women with revealing clothes were brought in.
"Dance," Huang Zhan told them.
The women started dancing. While some could dance, Amon could see they were not trained to dance together. They showed no unison. Moreover, their faces didn’t express the will to entertain. Instead, they expressed fear.
Amon saw red marks on their legs. These women were in chains not long ago.
Amon noticed another thing. The six soldiers who won the death match earlier. They lined up by the side. They eyed these women with lecherous stares.
Da Niu, who was back in his seat, knocked on his table. Once the knock was heard, the six bare-chested soldiers leaped at the dancing women. The women shrieked in horror when these men pounced on them. The soldiers pinned the women to the floor and ripped the little cloth covering their bodies. They proceeded to rape the women while everyone watched.
Seven women were in the group. Six were getting raped, while one tried to flee. The surrounding soldiers blocked her escape. They pushed her until she fell before Amon’s table.
"Colonel Amon, she is your reward for winning the duel. Go ahead and enjoy. You can have your way with her," Huang Zhan said.
Amon stared at the woman. She was crying out of intense fear. On one side, her friends were getting viciously violated. On the other side, a man was told he could have her, while all around the place were soldiers. There was no escape.
She kept glancing around, hoping for a release from this hell, but she knew such a miracle would not happen. She only stopped when her eyes rested on Amon’s stare. The two dark eyes were like magnets. She didn’t see any emotion from those eyes. There was no unholy desire to ravage her, just a bottomless abyss.
In that indescribable moment, wordless conversation was communicated through their eyes. Amon asked if she wished to be released. She answered yes. A flash, and she was.
Amon’s ceremonial dagger returned to his space ring. The girl’s head rolled on the floor.
*BANG!*
Da Niu rose after shattering his table. He pointed at Amon and scolded, "How dare you disrespect His Highness’ gift!"
Amon turned to Huang Zhan and asked, "Didn’t Your Highness say I can have my way with her?"
Huang Zhan was quiet for a bit. His expression was hard to read. He then smiled again and said, "She is yours. If you wish to take her life, then so be it. Such a pity, though. Many could have enjoyed her."
"What kind of weapon is that black dagger?" Da Niu asked.
"The kind that is not yours," Amon replied.
"Grr...," Da Niu growled menacingly. He glanced at Huang Zhan, who shook his head lightly. He grudgingly sat back down. He glanced at his arm, which had the scar caused by Amon’s ceremonial dagger, and growled again.
While the seventh woman was freed by death, the other six suffered through the remainder of the feast. After the six men had their ways with them, they were passed to the soldiers watching by the side. The soldiers fought to get the right to be next. The winners went on to have their ways with the women. This continued on and on.
Some soldiers couldn’t stand waiting for their turn. They ended up grabbing nearby maids and raping them. The hall became one big mess of an orgy. All the while, Huang Zhan, Da Niu, and Amon stayed seated while enjoying their wine.
When the sun started to set, Amon asked Huang Zhan, "What time will you depart for your raid tomorrow?"
"Two hours before sunrise," Huang Zhan answered.
"In that case, may I excuse myself? I wish to rest early so I don’t wake up late," Amon said.
"Of course. I see you are not a fan of this kind of entertainment," Huang Zhan said. He called a male slave to show Amon the way to the guest quarter. All the female maids had already been dragged to the middle of the hall.
Amon left the hall amid the lecherous laughter of the men and the desperate cries of the women.
*
A soldier accompanied Amon and the male slave to a room. The slave left after they arrived at the entrance. Amon looked into the room without entering. The room had only one exit and no windows.
"We passed through a balcony just now. I will spend my night there," Amon told the soldier.
"Wait! I was told to bring you into this room," The soldier said.
"Am I a guest or a prisoner?" Amon asked.
"Uh, A guest... But you can’t wander around as you like. This is a military facility."
"I don’t wander. I will be on the balcony. You are welcome to watch me the entire night to ensure I don’t wander." Amon walked toward the balcony without waiting for a response. The soldier seemed at a loss. His cultivation was lower than Amon’s, so he could only follow Amon to the balcony.
The balcony oversaw the courtyard and the main gate where Amon fought Da Niu earlier. He sat cross-legged on the floor. The soldier stood on one side. He was there to keep an eye on Amon.
Amon didn’t sleep. He didn’t need to sleep. He used the Nine Moon Restorative Mantra and consumed restorative pills every two hours to hasten his recovery. He didn’t know what Huang Zhan was planning for him tomorrow. It would be better if he was in his best condition.
*
Two hours before sunrise, Amon stood up.
The soldier who guarded him was taken aback. He almost dozed off from all the quiet. "You are not allowed to wander!" He exclaimed.
"The raid operation into Bloodspill Prairie should be starting soon," Amon said.
The soldier went to the balcony’s rail and looked down at the courtyard. Soldiers who had been assigned for the raid had indeed been gathering down there.
Amon jumped from the balcony and flew down. The soldier on the balcony called for Amon to use the stairs since he was only a transformation Stage cultivator, but Amon ignored him.
Amon spotted Prince Huang Zhan and Da Niu among the gathering soldiers. He flew toward them.
The prince sensed Amon approaching. He looked up and asked, "Did you have a good rest?"
"No," Amon answered. "How long will this raid take?"
"Why? Do you have somewhere to be?" Huang Zhan asked in return before he chuckled and answered Amon’s question. "If the tribe we target hasn’t moved their village, we should finish this raid by tomorrow."
Amon nodded. Kazhan traditional tribes were known as nomadic people. Most of Kazhan’s defectors were traditionalists who stuck to their old way of living. It was even more of a necessity after they separated from Kazhan nation. If they stayed in one place, it would be easy for Echos and Kazhan, who had superiority in number, to wipe them out.
Amon stayed put while Huang Zhan and Da Niu organized the troops. Because they needed mobility, Huang Zhan only brought soldiers with fast movement art or fast steed. He also only brought a fraction of his army.
An hour before sunrise, a legion of six thousand troops marched out of Fort Lion’s Den. They moved at high speed into Bloodspill Prairie. High up in the sky were three squads of soldiers riding Swift Spirit Swallows. These squads spread out and scouted the area following the legion that moved on the ground.
They marched for one day without resting. They moved even at night. Most spirit beasts ran away after seeing their massive number. Those that did not were slaughtered. If they met a strong spirit beast, Huang Zhan left a squad to deal with it, so it didn’t bother the legion’s march. They left the squad while they continued to march at maximum speed.
Past midnight into the early morning of the next day, one of the scouts flew back and informed Huang Zhan, "Your Highness, we have the village in sight."
