Chapter 759: Chapter 759. Control Collar

Six dark javelins suddenly burst out of the swirling tornado. These dark javelins stabbed into Yuka. They couldn’t penetrate her hard body, but were strong enough to pierce her defensive aura, causing shallow cuts.

This attack caused her to lose control of the tornado. The tornado weakened, allowing Amon to break free. Amon was still protected by the Elder God Veil, but the winds managed to leave many cut wounds on him.

"Darkness, light, and wind elements," Amon uttered. "A spirit beast is usually limited to only one element, but you can manipulate so many elements. No wonder your kind are considered among the best of the Higher Mythical Beasts."

"Hmph! I’m special even among my kind. You will regret drawing my ire!"

Yuka flapped her wings. The action produced an energy burst that threw all the dark javelins away. At the same time, a large amount of glowing stardust particles spread in Amon’s direction.

Amon sensed danger from this glowing stardust. A dagger appeared in his hand. This was a new dagger he procured from the faction before he left Saintly Sin City. Its grade was low-tier runic grade. The dagger was inferior to his ceremonial dagger, but that weapon had broken. Until he could find a smith who could repair it, using it would risk further damage.

He performed Infinite Phantom Slash. The slashing energy he conjured clashed with the glowing stardust. The stardust released tiny explosions of the light element upon impact. Amon sensed that these light-element explosions would damage his shadow suit if they were a direct hit, so he retreated while using his dagger to prevent the stardust from touching him.

"My assault is not over yet!" Yuka flapped her wings again. It produced another energy burst. The burst erupted from her back and propelled her forward. Intense wind energies swirled around her as she flew at high speed.

Amon almost failed to cope with the explosive speed. He shifted slightly to the left to avoid having Yuka crash into him, but her wing still brushed past him. As it did, countless wind energies assailed him. He felt as if he was being thrown into a shredding machine. If not for the protection of the Elder God Veil, his body would have been cut to pieces.

Yuka didn’t end her assault after that one dash. She produced another burst of energy, allowing her to perform a sharp U-turn. She was already charging back at Amon when he was still staggered by her last attack. If not for his acute danger sense, she could have struck him squarely on his back with this second charge. He managed to shift a little and only allowed her to graze him again.

Yuka repeated this multiple times. She turned into a flash that zoomed back and forth with Amon at the center. Despite the seemingly light-speed movements, Amon continued to shift his body with perfect timing to avoid direct impact. Even so, each time she passed, he was hit by a torrent of violent winds. Even his shadow suit couldn’t completely negate these wind energies. Some sliced past his art’s protection and cut his body.

"Haha! Let’s see how long you can endure," Yuka laughed without slowing down.

However, in her next charge, she saw the six dark javelins from earlier. These dark javelins flew from the opposite direction, went past Amon, and rushed directly at her.

The javelins’ trajectory proved that Amon had predicted her flying path. This astounded Yuka. Her speed under boost should almost be imperceptible.

Despite the dark javelins stabbing toward her, she didn’t back down. She charged right into them. She was again surprised. She expected the six dark javelins to bounce off without her losing speed. Those javelins did bounce off, yet the collision also halted her charge.

As her movement stopped, Amon’s four dark tentacles shot toward her and wrapped around her body. They then pulled her and slammed her into the ceiling. Amon somersaulted, and the tentacles dragged Yuka and slammed her into the floor next.

Yuka was surprised by the power these tentacles exhibited. She ended up being slammed another four times before she managed to tear herself free with brute force. Even then, her predicament was not yet over, because the six dark javelins now turned into dark chakrams. They swirled around her and took turns striking her.

Amon joined in on the assault while she was distracted by the dark chakrams. Her darkness-infused dagger landed a strong slash on her shoulder, leaving a noticeable gash.

Yuka screamed, more out of rage than pain. Two dark beams shot out of her eyes and struck Amon.

Unfortunately for her, the dark beams were dark elements, and they were not strong enough to bypass the Elder God Veil’s darkness immunity. The beams were as if non-existent. Amon advanced and landed a powerful punch on her face. She reeled back from the punch.

With a loud screech, she lurched back for a counterattack. She was ready to go all out. The giant eye on her right wing glowed a bright white, while the eye on her left wing emitted an ominous black light. But before she could unleash her power, she saw that Amon had retreated to the barrier’s edge. She shot forward to chase him. Amon stepped out of the barrier. She crashed into the barrier but couldn’t pass it as Amon did. The words of power on the floor flared, and the pressure pushed her back.

Amon deactivated his Elder God Veil, went to the control panel, and operated it. The barrier shrank. Yuka was forcefully pushed back by the shrinking barrier. The barrier dispersed and returned to fill the center of the room with an energy field that suppressed Yuka. At the same time, the glowing chain materialized and reattached itself to Yuka’s back.

Yuka howled and cursed loudly. She could feel herself significantly weakened again. In her rage, she tried to charge out, but the glowing chain behind her prevented her from advancing far. The giant battle puppet also responded and charged at her. With multiple punches, it forced her to remain at the center of the energy field.

Amon reviewed the duel just now while Yuka tussled with the giant battle puppet. In his estimation, the full-powered Yuka was more powerful than Mu Qin. Even though there was no definite winner in the duel just now, he did not lose either. By definition, he could assume his current battle power had already surpassed Mu Qin.

If he returned to Aetheria now, no one would be able to oppose him. Even so, he wasn’t going to do that. After witnessing the lower realm, his ambition was no longer limited to only Aetheria. Being in Aetheria would severely impede his cultivation advancement. On the other hand, if he could overcome the lower realm, conquering Aetheria would be child’s play.

Amon looked at Yuka. She seemed to have calmed down a little. She no longer tried to force her way out. She was still inside her confinement. Yet, her face reflected her resentment and anger. She hissed continuously while staring daggers at Amon.

"Why are you so upset?" Amon asked. "You have fulfilled my first request. After two more requests, you are free. You should be happy."

"Bullshit. I fully know the greed of your kind. You will not give something without taking something equal in return."

"That is without question. In my case, you will even have to pay me with something worth way more than your freedom."

"I will never be your tamed beast! No matter how strong you have become, I will never agree to it, no matter what!"

Amon sneered. "You truly have a high opinion of yourself. Don’t worry. I have no interest in keeping an underling who is not loyal. I will only use such an underling as an expendable pawn whom I toss away for cover, which is what I plan to use you for."

Yuka’s face became even uglier after hearing it.

"Look. If you don’t like my offer, you are welcome to stay here indefinitely. As I said, I should have no problem finding someone who can renew this prison in this lower realm. You can choose between risking your life for me with the possibility of obtaining freedom or being imprisoned here forever."

Yuka was silent for a long while. Amon waited patiently for her answer.

Finally, she spoke, "Your requests, will they involve bringing me out of this place? I don’t see how I can be useful to you from inside here, aside from donating my blood to you, but you don’t need to make a new agreement if that is all you want."

"You are right. My two requests will require you to aid me outside this artificial dimension."

"Very well, I agree," Yuka uttered.

Amon smiled. "Do you think it will be that easy?" 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

He threw something in Yuka’s direction. Yuka caught it with her hand and looked. It was a large ring made of rare metal. Words of power were engraved on its hard surface. They glowed as her fingers moved through them. She knew this item.

"High-tier runic control collar..."

Control collars were what Amon forced Lu Men’s underlings to wear. If he wanted, he could trigger the collar to explode and kill the wearer. A high-tier runic control collar was strong enough to be used on a Higher Mythical Beast or a Peak Lord Stage cultivator.

"Wear that," Amon said with a grin. "That will ensure I still have you under control even when I let you leave this place."
