Rise Of The Infinite Sovereign-Chapter 355: The Universe
Chapter 355: The Universe
Runic symbols of black, blue and gold manifest in front of Ezra, obstructing his sights.
"Am I supposed to read this?"
[I forgot. Give me a minute]
Ezra stared at Orion.
"Why does this view look so familiar?"
It hit him.
"Oh! It was that time!"
He couldn’t remember it clearly, but right before he opened his eyes in his current body, he viewed Orion in its entirety, just like now.
Goes to show just how far he’d come.
Ezra beamed with pride.
A minute had passed.
The symbols reappeared before him, this time in a language he could read.

Written in pitch black, these words were plastered onto a floating...golden slate?
It was a familiar sight.
"The Life Ark?" Ezra was perplexed. "You recreated it?"
This was exactly how the Life Ark looked like, though with colours of green on blue instead.
In front of those words were a string of numbers constantly changing.
[No. I improved it]
"I see"
[Don’t be so surprised. It was thanks to you bringing it from the future]
[But with everything that’s happened so far, I can’t assure if its functioning right]
"What is it exactly?"
[An energy construct]
"What now?"
[I have plenty to teach you, but let me finish my words from earlier. Congratulations on reaching the Transcendent rank]
"Thanks" Ezra flashed a smile. "I can’t appreciate you enough...right, you said you couldn’t reply earlier, what happened?"
[The sliver of my being was refined alongside the energy construct. I can’t tell if that’s a good or bad thing]
"Wait a minute" Ezra’s pupils contracted. "My mother. My mother was in the ring, what happened to her?! What happened to my mother?!"
[I can’t say]
Ezra’s tone rose. "What do you mean you can’t say?!"
Right then, the improved life ark glitched, grabbing the duo’s attention.
A massive ’ERROR’ came right on as the floating slate glitched again.
"Zydrax, what’s going on?"
[I don’t know]
Glitching continuously, other words came on.

Simultaneously, the now golden film started throbbing as well.
From just plain gold, streaks of black and blue came upon it.
{Determining grade...Dimension grade confirmed}
A wave of energy burst from his body causing Ezra to gasp, with the life Ark still glitching.
After every few glitches, new words came up.
{New parameters achieved...Beginning a complete overhaul...confirmed}
The glitching seemed to stop.
Suddenly, it glitched once more, bringing up new words, but in bigger fonts.

"What foundation is it looking for?!" Ezra yelled to Zydrax.
[It’s my first time creating something like, so I don’t know all its functions yet] Zydrax yelled. [From what I can tell, its synergizing with the ring]
"Wait! What about my mother?!" He yells again, alarmed.
[I don’t know!]
"Damn you, Zydrax! What do you know?!"
[I apologize] he says. [I never expected for this to happen, it wasn’t in my plans, Ezra]
"I don’t need your apology! Give me my mother! Dammit!"
The energy construct gave no heed to the heated atmosphere.

Still quibbling with Zydrax, Ezra’s body shook.
From it came a beam of dimensional essence, heading straight for Orion.
For all intents and purposes, it didn’t miss.
Hitting the planet’s surface, the light began enveloping it in its golden light.

—--------
Frederick was the first to notice the phenomenon.
Partially healed from his battle with Mavar, he stares straight up to see the dim hue of gold light encasing the planet.
"Mr. Frederick, what are you looking at so hard?"
Facing upwards, Johan’s face changes instantly.
"Woah"
His exclamation catches the attention of Theron and Ashton, who also look up to see the sky holding a gold hue.
All over Quartez, Grandmasters watched the ominous phenomenon unfold.
Having felt energy waves just moments prior, Frederick’s mind went towards a single person.
"Ezra, what are you doing?"
—--------
"Zydrax, what’s this now?"
Thanks to the beam of light, Ezra found himself incapacitated once more, unable to move.
[It’s...absorbing the planet]
Zydrax’s voice faded towards the end, dumbstruck.
"What happens to the people?"
[Leave this to me]
Refined alongside the cube, Zydrax had become an integral component.
That basically made him the artifact’s consciousness.
With its prowess as its creator, he could decipher its intentions and aim easily, even wrestle it for control.
Without knowing its full capabilities, doing things haphazardly could lead to grave consequences.
Right now, he just needed to determine how it would affect Orion’s future.
By now, Orion was fully encased in dimensional essence.
With the exterior covered, tendrils of Dimensional essence manifested and stretched into the Orion’s interior.
Resembling the arms of an octopus, innumerable golden tendrils latched onto anything and everything, ensuring a frenzy of panic and chaos among the planet’s residents.
Restless, Oranians sought to attack the tendril, but nothing they did had any effect.
The essence functioned like dust, nullifying all attacks as the tendrils would only scatter before reforming.
As other tendrils touched the clouds, it turned them gold, so did the humans.
Upon contact with the tendrils, their screams and shouts died down as nothing significant happened.
They simply started glowing gold.
The entire process was painless, making them wonder why they had broken into a ruckus just moments prior.
From house to tree to castle to leaf to brick and stone, everything was glowing with gold light.
Within minutes, the entire world had turned gold.

Like a lie, the planet was dragged out of its orbit right before Ezra’s eyes, coming towards him.
Letting waves of Dimensional essence, the whole planet had turned golden.
Dragged towards him, the planet didn’t cease its rotation.
The closer Orion got, the more apparent the difference in size.
Orion dwarfed Ezra a hundred to one.
The more Ezra watched, the less he understood.
Like, how exactly was he supposed to absorb a planet?
How was something so enormous going to fit into a little old him?
Well today, there would be no shortage of miracles, as he was about to find out.
One end of the planet started to fizzle into dust, gold dust.
The line of dust then came right through the beam of dimensional essence and entered Ezra’s body.
My man was just blinking in confusion, not sure of what to feel at this moment.
He’d love to turn around to check if the dust came out of his back, but he couldn’t move.
More perplexing was that he felt next to nothing as the steady stream of dust went right into his chest.
On the inside, the steady stream of dust was going directly into the golden film.
Sucked in without a hitch, one would think they were filling a well with buckets of water.
What exactly was this ethereal substance?
Time trickled by, and right before Ezra’s eyes, the planet slowly shrinked, losing mass by the minute.
"Zydrax. Zydrax! Zydrax!"
Ezra called and called, but received no response.
After more than twelve hours-as per Ezra’s estimates-the last of Orion crumbled to dust and entered his body.
Right on, Ezra was released from his stillness, but he couldn’t be bothered to notice.
Looking at the empty expanse in front him, the disappearance of his planet hit home.
"Ha..."
His emotions were beyond words.
{Commencing foundation reconstruction}
HUMM!
With the Ark’s announcement, the golden film throbbed hard and glowed even brighter.
Ezra sought to break the floating slate, but his hands simply phased through.
Then, a familiar sensation came upon him.
Pain.
"Ah. Ack! Ahh!"
Indescribable Pain.
"AHHH!"
But in space, his screams travelled very little before fading away.
Glowing gold, Dimensional essence erupted from his whole body like lightning, intensifying the pain.
Alongside all the gold luster were streaks of black and blue. Connoting negative mana and mana.
In all that pain, Ezra could feel his body changing on a fundamental level.
His skin molted, his eyes bled, his internal structure was adjusted and he even felt his brain squirm.
All of a sudden...*BOOM!*
Ezra let off one a wave of golden multidirectional light bright enough to compete with the sun.
As it faded into nothingness, the stars came back into view with Ezra unconscious.
Floating in space like any random debris, his glowing body dimmed.
Only then did he wake up.
Groggy, Ezra shakes his head to douse his dizziness.
A familiar sight greets him.

Without warning, it ceased and simply disappeared from Ezra’s sights.
[Ezra. Ezra]
A voice called out to him.
"Oh man" Ezra groaned. Setting his posture straight. "Zydrax, is that you?"
[Yes it is. Are you okay]
"I’m fine" Ezra grunted. Pain still lingered.
"Orion. Everyone. They-
[They’re fine]
"Wha-?"
[They’re fine, safe and sound]
"But they..."
[Yes...There’s a lot to explain. But they’re fine]
"Whew..."
Ezra’s body lightened with that sigh.
He couldn’t imagine what he would do if they weren’t fine.
"What about my mother?" He asks hurriedly.
[She’s also fine]
"Whew...."
He let out another relieving sigh.
"So, what just happened"
[Well-
As Zydrax would begin his explanation, the Life Ark reappeared.
This time, it glitched not. Delivering its messages without a hitch.
"Huhhhh?"
But the content of the messages were out of this world.
