A few things had happened in the past two months.

For one, Ezra was assigned a personal attendant by the red dragon clan, who would provide answers to his questions and was in charge of keeping him current by sending him important news.

Then, the red dragon clan leader had broken the news of Ezra’s inauguration to the other Elders of the sect.

As expected, the fact he was a Transcendent caused an uproar, but with the clan leader putting his foot down and vouching for him, the Elders could only click their tongues and swallow their dissatisfaction.

Sidal had also stabilized his position as an executive member, granting Ezra a far wider range of resources to which he used to hasten the speed of technological advancement back on Orion.

On Orion, the royal academy had started putting out works made from rune and magic engineering, creating a few things that revolutionized how things worked.

It was even more so on Black Jaws end. They created practical works aimed at solving problems for common people such farming tools that utilized very little mana, fruit scented perfumes, and promoted the benefits of hygienic spaces. As such, their creations had more far reaching effects.

In addition, they introduced division of labour on a scale never before seen, reducing the number of jobless people by a large amount while also solving hunger concerns.

Not to mention the wave of education that now existed as a result of the schools they instated to teach commoners.

The ability to do complex arithmetic was becoming more and more appreciated, as was the ability to read and write.

Those who were able to graduate from the schools set up were now envied by other commoners, forming into a wave that had people actively pushing for education.

In such a situation, the nobles were also forced to sit up. With many of them hiring tutors to learn how to read and write as well.

While it was previously consented as a bothersome and unnecessary task for many unserious nobles, now, it was a trend that could not be ignored.

After all, if most commoners became literate and the lord was still illiterate, would that not be too embarrassing?

With all such things happening simultaneously, it was no wonder the words ’engineering’ and ’education’ were floating all over Lexon continent and even beyond, sparking the curiosity and imagination of the masses.

In contrast, the nobles were beginning to feel as though their bodies had caught on fire.

Seeing commoners empowered and improved did not feel too good to those who sustained themselves on vanity and status. So they banded together and beseeched the Emperor, Triton, to put a stop to it.

If the Emperor didn’t want to stop them from getting education, then at least restrict their access to goods like perfume and soap, making those a nobility exclusive product.

Surpassing their wildest expectations, they find themselves completely ignored.

Infuriated at being called out so blatantly, the band of enraged nobles go to the other large families to solicit for support to impeach the crazy Emperor, but their expectations are shattered as they meet refusals even there.

Even more perplexing was that none of the big guilds with Grandmasters were willing to accept hire, opting to avoid involvement.

But one powerful family decide to take action, leading the charge with their banner as they announce a request to impeach the Emperor under the justification of ’the Emperor has ignored the voices of the nobles, refusing his duty’ and so therefore, they wanted Jordan miller, the Emperor’ third son to replace him for the betterment of the country.

In response, Triton issues a warning.

’Any party suspected of starting a rebellion shall be branded as traitors and thoroughly punished’

Niton grows tense as the band of nobles come out with the full force of their army and conscript a large number of commoners in addition, creating an army of thirty thousand.

Because public opinion was not on their side, the army began a march straight towards Kingsmere to conquer the castle as fast as possible.

To this, Triton declares them traitors and promises their imminent defeat, telling the commoners to seize their worries.

While many held firm in the emperor’s optimism, many others doubted him.

The other nobles, large and small, readied themselves for the deployment, procuring weapons and experts to secure merits in what would either be a battle of attrition or a single decisive one.

It was the best chance to secure a larger fiefdom and higher title.

But the situation did not follow any margin of their expectations.

The Emperor’s words were proven true when, like lightning, news of the army’s surrenders came through just three days after the start of their march.

The reason? Every commanding officer and noble had been killed the night before.

All who defied this order were to be swiftly beheaded.

Though the nobles didn’t like such an arrangement, there was nothing they could do, else being branded a traitor as well.

Then, he designates the ones with the biggest cities as learning institutes, holding hands with Elisa to up the scale and capacity of the royal academy in an effort to propel and hasten the integration of technology into society.

Wielding his power as Emperor, he then increases the average duration of education, emphasizing its importance.

Out of the blue, he grants other sides of the confiscated land to Black Jaws to use as learning institutes as well in exchange for an annual fee.

In exchange, he orders the extinction of all the beasts at designated wild zones on Nitonian territory and the destruction of the wild zone itself.

Accepting his demands, Black Jaws does a mass scale mobilization and begins the work requested.

In this way, Black Jaws proves its loyalty by not receiving any payment for the request, and at the same time, stomps whatever complaints nobility could phrase up in advance.

Killing two birds with one stone.

This was the current state of Orion.

Having done his check up on Orion the day before, Ezra was positive of the results.

’They’ve made significant progress’

With this, his worries about Orion were resolved and he could go on the expedition without a light heart.

With two months having passed, only thirteen days remained before the expedition party would gather.

This was sufficient time for him to scour Black Quartet for clues on his mystery dragon.

As such, with his allocation long settled, Ezra simply informed the clan of his departure to Black Quartet before using to arrive in Cretin.

This was his first time leaving Polaim in two months, so he looked haggard.

Familiar with the environment, Ezra takes his time to chow down till he is satisfied before cleaning himself.

Taking his time to check himself, Ezra gets a haircut and settles for a fade in.

After, he dons the new clothes he’d just bought straight from the AlphaNova mall.

As always, Ezra fitted himself in a modern all-black outfit consisting of a shirt, jacket and jeans.

Then, he tops it off with a plain but durable set of deep blue shoes.

With his get up complete, Ezra bids farewell to Cretin, teleporting to the location of the closest transit station going towards the Black Quartet.

While Ezra felt he could teleport there as well, he judged it wasn’t the right choice since he didn’t know anything about the place.

Who knew where he would end up?

Moreover, there were more boons to going through the procedure than simply barging in.

More than that, you had the fact that the place was swarming with powerhouses and Ezra wanted to avoid attention at least until they were called to gather.

Therefore, it was best to arrive like a normal person and use a spaceship.

Also, he hadn’t used a spaceship in a while and never crossed a long distance. It would be a fun experience for him.

Painted pure white the label ’Gold Crown’ lay imprinted on its sides written in gold, the spaceship was modelled like a jet but four times the size with four wings attached to it.

The luxurious look was only right since Ezra paid for premium.

Paying his fee, Ezra takes a seat, observing the other two passengers.

Settled in, the spaceship goes into hyper drive.

Within a matter of hours, Black Quartet would be in sight.
