Chapter 144 part2

The grey dragon dragged the golden pillar under its belly, propped itself up and stretched out its claws towards Fu Liqun before slamming it down.

Yo ho!” A gundam landed with a loud rumble; it stepped on the grey dragon’s head with one foot, and the platform’s tiles flew everywhere — the grey dragon’s head was stepped on so hard it smashed into the platform and was buried in the tiles.

The scorching sun instantly changed colour as it emitted a nearly incandescent prominence. Ou Qihang’s gundam was the first to rush to the battlefield. Chen Yekai’s Feathered Serpent God passed through two sun wheels first before flying out with a whoosh.

Following right behind it was Zhou Sheng’s black dragon with its sharp horns. It spread its wings out and dove down, striking the grey dragon under its ribs with one of its horns and pushed it off the high platform!

At the very end, countless meteorites burst out of the Golden Crow Wheel like a storm and fell from the sky. Yu Hao wielded his staff amidst the meteorite rain; he pointed the head of his staff at the grey dragon, and the meteor storm instantly smashed onto the platform like crazy!

The grey dragon had to endure their successive attacks and immediately turned indignant. It gathered both its wings as Fu Liqun hugged Cen Shan tightly, and the dragon roared, “You scum who can’t discern right from wrong! You’re just trash who lives at the bottom of society! Stay away from my daughter!”

Fu Liqun held Cen Shan and retreated. With one arm around her, he said softly, “No.”

Cen Shan closed her eyes, smiled slightly, and raised her head. Fu Liqun bowed his head and kissed Cen Shan on the lips.

Right at the next moment, the grey dragon suddenly spread out and roared madly, spewing out dragon flames that could destroy the heavens and earth. The Feathered Serpent and Zhou Sheng’s black dragon were deflected at the same time. The platform collapsed, causing the grey dragon to fall towards the ground! Smoke and dust surged and instantly blotted out the sky; the world fell into darkness once again, and the roar of a dragon travelled over from afar.

Thereafter, in this desert with omnipresent sandstorms, wolves could be heard howling endlessly.

Zhou Sheng rode his black dragon that was also carrying Yu Hao and flew over. Everyone landed one after another. Yu Hao said, “Nothing can be clearly seen!”

Looking at the earth from the sky, the sandstorm was rising higher and higher, obscuring the sky. The sun gradually vanished, and the dream world entered a long, dark night. Fu Liqun was riddled with wounds and covered in blood stains as he stood amidst the raging sandstorm.

“Got the totem?” Zhou Sheng asked.

A golden light shone in Fu Liqun’s palm. He raised his head again and looked into the depths of the sandstorm.

“The princess has been saved.” Fu Liqun gasped, “But the evil dragon still has to be killed.”

Yu Hao shook out a ray of light; Fu Liqun was bathed in that light and all the wounds on his body healed. He suddenly let out a loud shout, and the sandstorm immediately receded, clearing up into a grand and seemingly endless battlefield. Yu Hao’s army was lined up in a neat formation that gathered behind Fu Liqun, while Ou Qihang’s gundam, Chen Yekai’s Feathered Serpent God, and Zhou Sheng’s black dragon were flying in mid air.

“You’re so naive it borders on foolishness. After you enter society, it’ll be like walking into a pack of wolves, and you wouldn’t even be able to survive by yourself. How would you take care of my daughter?” The grey dragon’s low voice came from the sandstorm, “This world is filled with people who deceive one another, and everyone abides by the law of the jungle. You’ll only have one kind of ending — death!”

“I really don’t want to see wolves anymore…” Zhou Sheng said, “Fuck your damn wolves!”

Within an instant, millions of wolves burst out of the sandstorm. Fu Liqun raised his halberd and shouted, “Charge with me!”

Fu Liqun took a general along to go against the torrent of wolves, while the gundam, Feathered Serpent God, and black dragon gave them air support– spewing out blazing flames, releasing laser cannons, and dragon flames. Yu Hao spread his wings open and flew through the sandstorm. He shouted at Zhou Sheng, “There are too many wolves on the ground!”

“And they can fly too!” Ou Qihang’s voice came from the gundam.

The wolves grew wings from its ribs and actually flew as they ran. It wouldn’t pose a problem if there were just one or two of them, but in large numbers, they clung onto the mounts and couldn’t be flung away. In contrast, Yu Hao could move about flexibly in the air and didn’t get pestered by them.

“Think of something!” Zhou Sheng swung his rod and horizontally swept away the wolves. However, the wolves that rushed out of the fog seemed never ending — more and more of them were dashing out, and they couldn’t finish killing all of them.

“Gege!” Yu Hao shouted.

Fu Liqun led the army in his charge. Zhou Sheng abandoned his black dragon, his attire transforming into a suit of iron armour, and he fell from the sky. With a loud blare, his landing stirred up the sand on the ground that swirled into the air.

Chen Yekai, “We’ll win if we manage to get close!”

“We can’t!” From within the gundam, Ou Qihang’s voice travelled over, “There’s too many of them!”

“Gege!” Zhou Sheng relied on his iron armour to ward off the wolves that were rushing forward. He used his gauntlets to resist the wolves that bit him and brutally flung them away!

Fu Liqun wielded his halberd and swung it horizontally across. He shouted, “I don’t know how to deal with them!”

“This is your dream!” Chen Yekai rode his Feathered Serpent God and spun around in the air to get rid of his pursuers. He shouted, “Change your impression!”

The gundam turned over from the ground and knelt down on one knee. Within the cockpit, Ou Qihang pressed against his temple, and a monolithic infrared scope appeared; more than a hundred targets were locked onto, and a deluge of canister shots whistled through the air that bombarded the wolves below!

Fu Liqun took a deep breath and returned the halberd to his back, then closed his eyes. Yu Hao spun in mid air to dodge a wolf that flew over. He shouted, “As long as you don’t believe in the existence of a wolf-like nature, they won’t be able to do anything to you!”

More and more wolves swarmed them, and they encircled Zhou Sheng and Fu Liqun to trap them in the middle.

Fu Liqun suddenly opened his eyes.

Ulti—— scheming white wolves!” Fu Liqun roared angrily, his hands circled in the air, withdrew, then aimed his fist at the ground.

Yu Hao, “……”

Zhou Sheng’s mouth twitched. “What the hell is that? You even have that move in your arsenal?!”

Immediately afterwards, a circular shockwave erupted that expanded outward, whistling by with a strength that could topple mountains and overturn the seas. Wherever the shockwave swept by, the wolves on the ground would evaporate and vanish into thin air!

“I know how to do it too!” Yu Hao shouted.

“Ulti! Scheming white wolves!” Yu Hao brandished his daggers, dove down from the air, raised his fist, and punched the air in front of him. His punch seemed to raise a tsunami, and the space it hit suddenly deformed along with the sandstorm and rolled back into the depths of the sandstorm!

Chen Yekai, “Why do you know how to do it too?”

Ou Qihang, “What’s that?”

Yu Hao smiled and kept his daggers. Fu Liqun said, “Charge!”

The sandstorm receded and cleared up, revealing the massive figure of the grey dragon. The grey dragon had been forcibly tied to a golden pillar by Yu Hao and Zhou Sheng from the start, and it couldn’t fly up no matter how hard it flapped its wings, so it could only spew flames everywhere from where it was on the ground. Under Fu Liqun’s lead, Yu Hao spread his wings open in the air, Zhou Sheng rode his black dragon and took off, and along with the Feathered Serpent God and the gundam, they rushed toward the grey dragon together! Meanwhile, Fu Liqun led thousands of troops and charged swiftly toward the grey dragon!

The grey dragon gathered extremely powerful flames in its mouth, and it was on the verge of spewing them out.

“Zhou Sheng!” Yu Hao flew up and landed on the back of the black dragon. Zhou Sheng shook his jingubang, turning it into a gigantic shield. He steered the black dragon and flew towards the dragon flames that formed a fire pillar with Yu Hao! The dragon flame spewed fiercely onto the huge shield, and the flames spurted in all directions as it shot onto the huge shield, an explosion detonating within the sandstorm. Right at the instant their fight started at close quarters, Zhou Sheng suddenly lifted his shield up with both hands, withdrew, and grabbed the edge of the shield with Yu Hao at the same time. They held the shield up and swung it horizontally across, hitting the grey dragon on its head with their shield.

“Do you think you’re the only one who can spew fire?” Zhou Sheng said.

With a loud “clang“, the grey dragon appeared as if it just got slapped, and its head spun a whole 90 degrees from the slap. The black dragon’s claws scratched the grey dragon’s necks and scratched off its scales. It soared into the sky, spewing out scorching flames from its mouth, and the grey dragon instantly let out anguished wails as it rolled over.

Following which, the Feathered Serpent God dove down, and Chen Yekai shot the grey dragon in its jaw. The grey dragon rolled over, its head turning to the side.

“Do you think you’re the only one who’s rich?” Chen Yekai said coldly.

The gundam fell from the sky, and its fist slammed down on the dragon’s head, punching it until its head was spinning.

Ou Qihang, “Do you think you’re the only one who’s not at the bottom of society?”

Fu Liqun led a huge army to close in; all of the soldiers stopped at the same time, retreated, and shot arrows that obscured the sky. Fu Liqun, wielding a halberd, looked just like a lonely and brave knight who was charging heroically towards the grey dragon within the vast and obscure sandstorm.

The sandstorm suddenly stopped. The grey dragon looked up and turned.

All of the light in the world faded.

In the sandy battlefield, only Fu Liqun’s halberd was shining; it reflected his gentle features, forming a silhouette.

In the next moment, Fu Liqun’s halberd stabbed into the scales below the grey dragon’s throat. Blazing flames exploded, covering his entire body, and spread throughout the whole world, swirling up. The sand and dust in the sky suddenly froze still before transforming into snowflake-like light particles that gently drifted down.

“I can’t live the life you want me to.” Fu Liqun said in a low voice, “Sorry, father-in-law.”

The grey dragon exploded with a blast, turning into shining dust particles swept away by the gentle wind in the desert.

“Time to watch the sunrise——” Zhou Sheng said.

It was as if everyone had arranged to fly away together at the same time. Zhou Sheng snapped his fingers and his black dragon disappeared. He steered his jindouyun and brought Yu Hao along to stop at the peak of a mountain in the desert. The two of them sat down side by side.

On the other side, Chen Yekai and Ou Qihang flew to the peak of another mountain. Ou Qihang sat in front of the cliff with one foot stepping on an edge. Chen Yekai stood as he looked into the distance.

“It’s snowing.” Yu Hao was surprised.

“It’s snowing.” Zhou Sheng looked up and said.

In the night sky, a starry river extended all the way across, and a bright star on the horizon flashed.

Sand and dust miraculously transformed into fine snow that drifted all over the sky. They landed on the ground soundlessly, and the scene looked like it came out of a silent film.

Fu Liqun stood in the middle of the ancient city’s ruins. Before him, a luminous Cen Shan materialised. Both of them looked at each other. Cen Shan reached out and caught the soft, falling snow. Fu Liqun held out his palm, Cen Shan overturned hers, and the moist snowflake landed in his palm.

Fu Liqun stood tall, holding Cen Shan’s hand with one of his hands, while he raised his other, facing the light of daybreak on the eastern horizon.

The snow had turned the desert into a vast, white plain, covering up the ruins of Loulan.

“It’s so beautiful.” Yu Hao said.

Zhou Sheng glanced at Yu Hao, appearing quite carefree, then he looked into the distance again and casually said,”Would you feel disappointed if you don’t get to see such a sun in the future?”

Yu Hao knew what Zhou Sheng was trying to say. After all, now that the Golden Crow Wheel has attracted the attention of others, this act of shuttling through dream worlds would completely stop one day.

“Of course not.” Yu Hao turned his head sideways to look at Zhou Sheng. “I can look at you ah. You’re the sun, and your light is always bursting radiantly.”

Zhou Sheng’s handsome face actually turned red. He said, “You’re this good at teasing me now? I’ll cook up a good meal for you when we go home.”

Yu Hao smiled, and a ray of light shot over from the horizon in an instant. Both of them turned their heads at the same time.

The sun had risen.

The sunlight shone down on Cen Shan and Fu Liqun’s bodies. They faced the morning sun, and the snow on their hair started to melt. The snow crystal in Fu Liqun’s hand turned into water droplets that trickled down from his palm and dropped onto the ground.

Within an instant, the rate at which the snow melted spread rapidly to every corner of the earth. The accumulated snow in the desert melted and seeped into the sand.

The sun rose; under the sunlight, the rivers looked just like brocade belts that emitted the gurgling sounds of streaming water. Before the desert, a waterfall that looked just like white silk tumbled down loudly. Living things started growing in the desert, and it now overflowed with lush greenery that broke through the earth under this long-lost stream.

The sun rose; the bricks buried under the gravel all around Fu Liqun and Cen Shan automatically rose, and the massive stones of ancient Loulan rumbled loudly as they pieced themselves together. The bricks on the city wall started piling up layer by layer, sand and dust flowed before disappearing completely, revealing the residents who were buried underneath.

The people who were buried under the gravel started stretching lazily one after another, yawned, and walked out of the houses. The entire Loulan world became clamorous once again.

The sun had risen. Under the illumination of the gentle sunlight, an oasis unfurled with a whoosh and extended toward the horizon endlessly. The desert turned into a verdant pasture, and the Gobi desert had transformed into a range of pale green mountains.

The sun rose; the pure white jade walls of Loulan Palace glistened under the light of the morning sun. The ringing of camel bells and the sound of a wooden pipe carried from afar.

Fu Liqun held the glowing Cen Shan’s hand and walked towards Loulan Palace.

The sun has risen, the dream world reconstructed itself and changed into a prosperous and lively, beautiful ancient city. The platform within the palace rose. Fu Liqun and Cen Shan went up to the highest floor. Cen Shan went up to the throne; a gentle breeze blew her veil over and landed before her. Cen Shan gracefully and lazily tilted her head slightly. Fu Liqun lifted her long hair gently and pinned the ear stud onto her right ear, then kissed her cheek.

Cen Shan transformed into light particles and dispersed with a bang, then soared into the air, transforming into the totem of his dreamscape. Fu Liqun, with a halberd on his back, walked towards the platform at the top of the palace and faced the distance.

The light of the morning sun burst out in all directions and illuminated Fu Liqun. Fu Liqun placed his left fist against his right shoulder and bowed slightly to his comrades on the Gobi Mountains in the distance.

Zhou Sheng and Yu Hao raised their hands near their eyebrows and saluted him in response.

Chen Yekai and Ou Qihang raised their hands, also saluting him.

“Good night.” Zhou Sheng said. He drew a circle with his finger and gently tapped in the air. The space fluctuated like a ripple, and it spread out to cover the world.

Everyone woke up from their dreams.
