SEX WITH MY BEST FRIEND'S FIANCÉ-Chapter 96 - NINETY SIX
Chapter 96: Chapter NINETY SIX
- HAZEL -
I’m cramped up on his bed with my arms around my tummy. My stomach still hurts really bad. The ache is less than it was before but it’s nearly unbearable.
My eyes water as I try to hide the ache. Why didn’t Carol give me a flash warning that having so much of that can give stomach ache? Now I wish I never went.
Killian walks to me and sits on his bed, by my side. A hand meets my forehead then the back of his palm rests on my neck. "You have a fever." Killian’s caring tone says. "I’ll be right back with something I think can calm it down." He stands up. "Taken anything within the last few hours that could be a potential threat for overdose if I give you a drug?" He asks.
I nod my head. "I don’t know what I had but I’ve taken a pill." My knees fold closer to my head. "Maybe I should wait for a few hours." I add. I can’t see his face but from the silence, I can already tell what he looks like. A smile forms on my face. "Killian, I’ll be fine. I just had too much concoction to drink."
"That’s not convincing." He says. My mouth widens to say something but I hear the door jam shut. Killian is already gone.
I sigh and shut my eyes tight. I wish he stayed. I really want him here with me. I wipe the tears begging to roll down my face away with my finger and sob. I had fun last night, that’s for sure. Maybe my dorm room will be buzzing with people who want to see me by next tomorrow.
The thought makes me giggle. Sadly, I have no photos to share with the girls back home.
The door comes open and someone waltz in. Despite it being just the two of us at home, if it weren’t so, I won’t have to look to know he’s here, his cologne filled the room the moment he came in. "You’re back." I breath, relieved.
"Of course I am. Went to grab a delivery."
This makes my smile widen. "I thought you were pissed at me and left me."
"Oh kitten," I feel an overpowering form envelope me from behind as strong arms gently pull me for a hug. "I’d never leave you." Killian kisses my shoulder. "Why’d you think I was pissed?" He asks. His voice vibrates on my skin.
"Because I drank a lot. You hate it when I drink."
Killian chuckles. His hand slips underneath the hoodie I’m wearing. His thumb carefully runs around my navel. "At least you know I hate it." He presses his lips on my neck, giving me another warm kiss.
"That tickles." I giggle, enjoying the call atmosphere.
"Want me to stop?" Killian’s teeth bites my earlobe and I pull my shoulder up my ear. "I got a package with instructions for your dosage. Whoever gave you that pill must really care about you."
Carol. She’s so sweet. Although she’s the one who didn’t warn me at the start so I still have a little bit of bad blood towards her.
"Can you eat something?" His suave voice makes my eyes roll.
"I guess." I murmur. He puts a hand beneath my body, pulling me up to sit.
"I’ll make something. You need to eat." fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
"Don’t take too long. I don’t want to be alone for long." My fingers play with each other. Killian is staring right into the side of my face and I don’t want to look back at him. For no actual reason, I just love knowing he’s staring at me.
"Sure." He kisses my cheek. "Don’t sleep before I get back." He gets up from the bed and walks out of the room. I sigh the moment his presence was gone. My eyes dart around his bed, looking for my phone. My lips form a line when I don’t find it.
If I sit here for long without doing anything, I won’t be able to heed his words and doze off. Maybe I should watch some tv. I kneel on the bed, in search for the remote.
I can’t find it. I stretch my neck up to look over his desk in the room but there’s no remote on it either. I frown. I don’t want to have to shuffle these sheets and get up to find it. I sigh. My hand reaches out to the drawer by the side of his bed. I open the first drawer. It has Killian’s watch and bangles and a chain. God, even in here scents so divine. A smile form on my lips. Everything about Killian is so masculine and attractive.
I close the drawer and open another one.
Ha! I found the remote! I take it out and close the drawer. My hand stretches toward the TV and I press a button on the remote, turning the TV on.
Although I’ve found what I was looking for, my hand is itchy to see what lays in the remaining drawers. I pull the third drawer open. It’s occupied with books and a small box which resembles a jewelry box. I shut it and immediately skip the other one to open the last drawer. I was about to close it when the label on an envelope inside catches my attention.
’Marriage rules and regulations.’ It has the same title as the one I saw in Kate’s bag that day.
My brows crease. I know I’m not supposed to but I take the envelope out. In the process, another paper slips out along with other stuff. My eyes bulge.
Oh my God. It wasn’t just any paper, but one with my picture. Scattered on the floor are photos of me. A lot of them. I don’t know what to think about this at all.
I mean, I knew Killian cared about me but not this much. I pick them up one by one, looking at each of them. Some of these pictures date back to when I newly arrived here, I know that because I have strong memory of some things I wore and what I looked like back then. If I remember correctly, Killian treated me like I was a plague. Has he always been obsessed with me?
I should be worried but my mind interpretes this differently. I find this somewhat cute yet alarming but mostly cute.
I arrange the photos in my hand and place them back in his drawer. I don’t know if they were arranged in any order but if they were, that sucks. I finally hold the paper which has my picture on it. It’s actually a small stack of papers stalled together.
This is a bad picture. I roll my eyes and plaster my eyes on the page. My name is here. Along with my date of birth and phone number. My brows crease.
Along with a lot of private information I doubt he should have. I sit up, dropping the marriage file by my side on the bed, holding the stapled paperwork. I keep reading.
"Fan of cheese?" The voice echoing behind me made me jerk in a spot and scream. I didn’t know when anyone walked in here.
I should’ve heard the door knob or the door open but I didn’t hear a single thing. My heart is beating fast in my rib cage as I turn, trying to hide the thing in my hand and the file on the bed. I swallow, looking at Killian.
He has a brow raised. "What are you doing?" I don’t know if it’s just me or his voice got sterner. I gulp.
"Looking for the remote." I breath. My voice suddenly returns to me.
Killian trails his gaze to the turned on television then back on me. I really don’t want him to know I was going through his stuff but even if he knows, I have a lot of questions. "Come downstairs. Dinner’s ready."
"That was quick." I mutter under my breath.
"What can I say? I’m quite the chef." He says to me. I can’t tell if Killian sensed that I was going through his stuff or not.
"I’ll be down in a second." I flash him a smile.
He’s still standing there. "Up, now." He says and I stand, falling the paperwork on the ground while covering the envelope with a pillow. I walk to him.
"I’m not running from meals." I lean up to kiss him. "Although, it’s quite late to eat."
"Not for you." He kisses me back. I can tell Killian is distracted. I can’t have him going back to the bed without me so I need to get him out of here.
"Which is why you should know that I’m starving. Let’s go." I hold his hand and pull him to me. Killian doesn’t hesitate to move. He follows me to the door. I turn my head back slightly to stare at the pillow hiding the envelope. I will check that out when I’m done at the dining. I also will check out that paperwork about me.
