Chapter 890: Chapter 398: Annual Meeting (5-in-1) Part 2
"Oh, I might have remembered wrong."
Su Ming replied with a cheerful smile.
Ferion raised his hand, heavily patted Su Ming on the shoulder, and said.
"Why did you come here today, is there something you need?"
"I’m here to find the Legion Commander."
"Oh, the Legion Commander is on the third floor, you can go up from there."
"Alright, I’ll head there first."
Su Ming replied courteously.
"Go ahead."
Admiral Ferion nodded in response.
Su Ming saluted Ferion and then turned to leave.
Ferion watched Su Ming’s back, letting out a slight breath.
A few minutes later.
Ding!
Accompanied by a sound, the elevator doors opened.
Su Ming stepped out of the elevator and entered the third-floor hall.
With the year-end approaching, many officers rushed back to review their military merits. The entire hall was bustling with officers, making it very lively.
The small door for submitting reviews had a long queue.
Next to the queue, many officers who received their approval results gathered, expressing their grief and indignation.
"Beast! My military merits!"
"Exactly! They cut half of it all of a sudden."
...
Su Ming glanced around and then walked towards the small door.
Before he could get close, the officers in line saw him heading that way and started shouting at him.
"Hey, don’t cut in line, you need to queue now!"
"Uh, I’m not here for a review."
"Ah? If not for a review, what are you here for?"
The queuing officers asked in confusion.
"I’m here to meet someone."
Su Ming coughed lightly and replied.
"Holy, you know someone inside?"
One of the queuing officers exclaimed in shock.
At this moment, those officers holding their review results in anguish, felt like drowning people who saw hope, and swarmed towards Su Ming.
"What are you doing?"
Su Ming was momentarily stunned as so many people rushed towards him.
"Brother, you know someone inside?"
"Help us out!"
"Yeah!"
...
The officers beseeched him.
Due to the overwhelming number of reviews, the review group inside became more aggressive, slashing viciously with the proverbial dragon-slaying blade.
At this moment, an old man with a hunched back, face full of wrinkles, wearing a black work uniform, walked over and unhappily scolded.
"What are you all gathering here for? This isn’t a marketplace."
Seeing the administrator angry, everyone sheepishly dispersed.
Su Ming breathed a sigh of relief.
Then the old man looked at Su Ming, speaking harshly.
"What are you here for? Not lining up, wandering around here?"
"I’m not here for the military merit review, I’m here to meet someone."
"Meet someone, who are you looking for?"
"Uh, I’m here to find the Legion Commander."
"Legion Commander? Who’s your Legion Commander that you came all the way here?"
"Zero."
Su Ming thought for a moment and then spoke.
"Auditor?"
The old man’s eyes widened, asking in shock.
"Ah? Auditor!"
Su Ming also jumped in surprise, showing an astonished expression.
"Follow me."
The old man promptly led Su Ming towards the small door.
Soon, they entered the small door, arriving at a simple and spacious review room.
Everywhere were reviewers wearing faceless masks.
They saw Su Ming enter and began whispering amongst themselves.
"Who is that? How can he come in here?"
"I know him, isn’t he that Major Su Ming from the Thirteenth Legion? No, it should be Major General Su Ming now."
"Thirteenth Legion, then he must be here to see the Auditor?"
"Exactly!"
...
Su Ming curiously glanced at the crowd, then continued to follow the old man inside.
Quickly, they reached the door of an inner office.
"This is it, I’m leaving now."
After bringing Su Ming here, the old man hastily turned and left.
Su Ming took a deep breath, raised his hand, and knocked on the door.
"Enter!"
A cold voice responded.
Su Ming then opened the door and walked in.
Only to see a purple-haired girl sitting at a black desk, reviewing documents.
Su Ming stepped forward, respectfully saluting.
"Legion Commander."
The purple-haired girl put down her pen, looked up at Su Ming, and spoke in a cool voice.
"What is it?"
"Legion Commander, I wanted to ask if, besides the Federation’s coordinated medication, our legion also procures some medications by ourselves?"
Su Ming asked somewhat apprehensively.
"That’s right."
The purple-haired girl nodded slightly in response.
"Here is a price list and agreement from the Vox Biological Group, I think it’s pretty good. Please have a look, Legion Commander."
"Send it over."
"Okay!"
Su Ming quickly sent it to the purple-haired girl.
The purple-haired girl received the file, projected it immediately, and began looking over the prices of various medications.
Time passed by second by second.
Seeing the purple-haired girl remain silent for so long, Su Ming felt increasingly uneasy and spoke up.
"Legion Commander, I haven’t taken any kickback from this recommendation; I just thought the soldiers might need it."
The purple-haired girl turned off the projection, calmly replying.
"I know, you don’t need to explain. This is a long-term supply agreement, and not everyone can get such a price. I will consider it."
"Alright, I have one more thing."
Su Ming took a deep breath and said.
"Speak."
The purple-haired girl fixed her gaze on Su Ming and said.
"Legion Commander, I’ve completed my training and formally transitioned to Major General. I want to apply for a military organization, to form my own unit."
Su Ming earnestly requested.
"I approve, from now on you are officially detached from Vickers Major General’s command and can establish your own organization. However, I can only provide you with the most basic military budget; you’ll have to figure out the rest on your own."
