Shattered by Fate, Restored by Truth-Chapter 1042: Envy, Jealousy, and Hate
Su Yao’s shouts eventually turned into sobs, swallowed by someone.
Because of one sentence from Su Bai, Su Yao didn’t sleep well all night. She woke up to the alarm, feeling sore and uncomfortable, filled with anger.
Lu Ci hugged her from behind with his eyes closed, Su Yao lowered her gaze, watching his mischievous hands wandering around. She took a deep breath and growled in a low voice—
"Get lost!"
Breaking free from Lu Ci’s embrace, Su Yao went to the bathroom to freshen up, got dressed, and went downstairs with a menacing aura.
Su Bai was being dragged by Yangyang to play Go downstairs. He had been sleeping with Yangyang for the past two days, woke up early this morning, and was so sleepy that he was yawning non-stop.
Upon hearing footsteps on the stairs, he looked up, and upon seeing Su Yao’s grim face, he was so frightened that he held back his yawn halfway through.
"Uncle, you lost again."
Yangyang made the final move and sighed.
Too clumsy, not even enough to practice on.
Su Bai frowned as he glanced at the Go board, then looked at Yangyang’s serious expression and couldn’t help but complain.
"I say, little ancestor, you, the world champion, don’t bully amateurs at home, alright?"
Su Bai didn’t really understand how the ranks of Go worked, only knew it was divided into amateur and professional groups.
Fu Yu’an won a few ranks in the professional group recently, even appeared on TV, and Su Bai only found out when Qi Ran bragged about it to others.
"Uncle, you should have confidence in yourself."
"I..."
Su Bai had just started speaking, when Su Yao walked over and gave him a hard kick in the calf, which made him gasp in pain.
"Play less with my Yangyang in the future, you’re affecting his intelligence!"
Su Yao threw down the sentence and went to the dining room to eat, too lazy to say another word to Su Bai. After finishing her meal, she hurried out to work, buttoning her shirt carefully so no one could see the hickey on her neck.
Su Yao had a sour demeanor, and Su Wanxin was also looking grim when she saw Su Bai.
Su Bai had annoyed two princesses, slightly regretting his actions from the previous day, but it was too late.
Fu Shiyi quietly observed the interactions between them, not saying anything, but felt very curious inside.
For as a brother, it was evident that Su Bai’s family status was completely different from Fu Shihan’s!
Fu Shiyi didn’t say it out loud, but inside she felt very envious.
If only Fu Shihan could be like that around her! Even a little nicer would be great!
Su Bai didn’t dare to come home to stay that night, finding an excuse saying he had a social event and couldn’t return from the neighboring city.
Su Wanxin and Su Yao didn’t care, he can come back if he wants, stay wherever he likes.
But Fu Shiyi kept it in her mind, as she still needed to find Su Bai to inquire when the rest of the Su Family would arrive in the Imperial Capital!
Previously she heard from Su Bai about Su Yu Yan’s arrival time and flight, and since she promised Fu Shihan, Fu Shiyi arrived at the airport early that day, surprising Su Bai when he came later to pick up passengers.
"Fu Shiyi? Why are you here? Picking someone up too?"
Seeing her, Su Bai walked over and asked curiously.
"Yeah." Fu Shiyi nodded: "Here to pick up Uncle Su."
"My dad? Why are you picking him up?" Su Bai was momentarily stunned, "Did Wanwan ask you to come?"
"No, it just felt... necessary to come."
Fu Shiyi laughed it off.
"You guys don’t have relatives here, Wanwan and my brother have been together for so long, and I’ve grown up with her since childhood, so her dad is my dad too!"
