Chapter 362: Chapter 362: Did President Fu Get Cuckolded!?

At first, Chen Lei didn’t pay much attention because he didn’t see the person’s face and assumed it was a company colleague talking to Su Wanxin about business.

It was not until half an hour later, when Su Wanxin did not attend the meeting, that the secretary told him President Su was receiving an important client. Then Chen Lei felt something was odd.

An important client? Who? Is the company going to make some major move soon? Why doesn’t he remember anything about that?

The meeting lasted for an hour. Afterwards, Chen Lei got up and headed to Su Wanxin’s office, wanting to discuss work with her.

Unexpectedly, after he knocked on the door, he heard Su Wanxin say -

"I’m a bit busy at the moment, I’ll look for you when I’m done."

Chen Lei couldn’t help but feel it was just his illusion, but Su Wanxin’s voice seemed somewhat weary.

Chen Lei paused, recalling the secretary’s words about Su Wanxin meeting with an important client. He then thought of the man he had seen more than an hour ago, and was somewhat flustered.

What’s going on? They’ve been talking for almost two hours.

He hadn’t seen her sit down for such a long talk with President Fu before.

For a moment, he stood outside the door, indecisive about whether to stay or go, and felt quite embarrassed.

In broad daylight, eavesdropping was definitely not something Chen Lei would do. Besides, there were surveillance cameras in the corridor – what if he was caught on tape and it got out? What would that make of him?

The Su Family branch manager eavesdropping on the CEO?

If that news got out, his career would pretty much be over.

So Chen Lei thought for a while, went back to his office to pick up his thermos, and stood in the hallway at a spot where he could see Su Wanxin’s office door, yet not too conspicuously, just drinking tea and waiting.

He waited for a long time until finally, the door opened, and Su Wanxin exited the room with a man, one after the other.

Chen Lei craned his neck and squinted, feeling that the man looked familiar, but couldn’t place where he had seen him before.

Then he looked at his own CEO, Ms. Su Wanxin, and felt that her state seemed... a bit off?

This was Su Wanxin’s first time undergoing hypnotherapy. Zhong Xian thought she had been under too much pressure and hadn’t been in for treatment for so long, so he wanted her to relax a bit.

Su Wanxin had carefully considered it several times before agreeing, and then the effect was beyond expectation; she felt like she had gotten a good sleep and hadn’t been so comfortable in a long time.

Her face was slightly flushed as she saw off Zhong Xian. She didn’t notice at all the middle-aged man in the corner of the corridor, standing stiff as a board in the messy wind.

Curiosity killed the cat, and it could kill a man too.

A man and a woman in a room for more than two hours. What were they talking so happily about? So vigorously?

Chen Lei stood there stiff, all his thoughts occupied by the weary and hoarse voice of Su Wanxin he had just heard, as well as her flushed complexion.

Did he...

Did he accidentally stumble upon some earth-shattering secret?

Is President Fu wearing a green hat!?

Damn, why is he panicking? It’s not his wife who’s cheating, so why are his hands shaking?

Should he find an opportunity to send some green emojis to President Fu, to hint subtly?

But what if things aren’t what he thinks they are?

If he misunderstood and made the relationship between those two even more strained, wouldn’t that be a well-intentioned bad deed with even worse consequences?

Chen Lei felt a tightness in his chest; he took a couple of deep breaths and saw Su Wanxin returning. Frightened, he turned and ran back to his office, sitting in his chair with his hands over his head.

He really wanted to resign, but he had to provide for his family; he couldn’t find a better job than this...

He was so worried, he felt like his hair was about to fall out.
