She's Raymond's Woman-Chapter 51: The Jog
"Oh my..." Candy sighed as she jogged alongside Raymond. She hated working out.
Raymond didn’t even bother looking at her. He had ear pods in, chewing on his bubble gum while jogging.
Candy, on the other hand, was already out of breath. To make matters worse, she had a bag with some things like water and a towel.
They jogged for a few more minutes, and Candy felt like she might collapse if Raymond didn’t pause. Seems like the Lord answered her prayers because he finally slowed down. He walked to a bench and sat, crossing his legs at once.
"Towel," he muttered. Candy immediately handed it over and sat down without being told. She grabbed her own towel to wipe the sweat off, breathing heavily.
"Water..." Raymond said, gazing at her as she gulped down her own bottled water fast. He just stared, eyes following the beads of sweat trailing down her smooth face. She lowered the bottle, and he gently looked away.
"Water..." he demanded again. Candy quickly handed over his bottle.
After drinking, he popped a bubble from his gum.
"Go over there and start squatting," he commanded. Candy felt like fainting. Was this his way of punishing her for carving his eyebrows? Was he really the one who kissed her last night? Why was he so cold this morning?
"Boss..." she muttered, shrugging and standing up.
"You’re the only fragile one in my Clan. I hate weak souls... so get your a*s over there and squat. Don’t make me repeat myself," he said, rubbing his temple.
"How many times should I squat?" Candy’s voice trembled, like she wanted to cry.
"Till I tell you to stop," Raymond replied, watching her nonchalantly.
’Why would he ask me to squat? It’s not like I’m fat...’ Candy thought, squatting over and over. Her legs felt heavy, but the boss wasn’t giving the command to stop.
Tick. Tick. Seconds turned into minutes.
Raymond popped another bubble from his gum and uncrossed his legs. He could see the little mosquito’s legs shaking, her whole body trembling.
Candy’s body felt weak all over.
"This will be the last time... if I go one more, I’ll faint," she muttered silently.
She squatted again, trying to stand, but her legs shook—they couldn’t carry her anymore. She closed her eyes, ready to hit the ground... but a huge arm caught her immediately.
She slowly opened her eyes to meet Raymond’s silver, worried ones.
