A few days passed after that.

There was nothing that happened during these few days other than going around the Elven Kingdom being guided by the Elven King.

With how much time he spent with us, it really seemed like there was nothing better for him to do.

Though I knew that this wasn't the case.

It was clear what the Elven King had been planning by following us around like this.

The one thing that he did the most was keep his eyes on me.

It was as if he didn't trust me, which was why he was keeping his eyes on me at all times.

Though it wasn't as if the others weren't watched either.

There were plenty of high elves that came along with us during this time.

While they didn't come as close to me as the Elven King did, they did stay near the other humans. They didn't talk as much to the royal guards as the Elven King did with me, but they still talked to them from time to time.

It seemed like they were being friendly, but in reality, the high elves were just watching over this group of humans.

The other thing that happened was that Aisha left our group.

The High Priestess actually came for Aisha on the second day and pulled her away.

While the Elven King found this strange, he was happy to see that Aisha was leaving our group. After all, the Elven King had already made it clear that he wasn't happy seeing how close Aisha was with me.

So seeing her leave with the High Priestess was better than her staying here.

However, it also seemed like the Elven King wasn't happy to see Aisha getting closer to the High Priestess.

It was unknown if this was what he felt about Aisha or the High Priestess.

After all, it was clear that there was some kind of tension between the Elven King and the High Priestess.

Today, we were wandering around in the woods.

Over the past few days, they had been showing us around the capital of the Elven Kingdom.

But today, we were finally being shown the woods that were around the capital.

In fact, it was actually a hunting trip.

The Elven King even turned it into some kind of competition, pitting high elves against the humans to see who would be able to hunt more. Doing so pulled the royal guards who had been by my side the entire time away from me.

Of course, if it wasn't for me giving the order in the first place, it wasn't as if Klein and the others would have left me alone.

I knew that the Elven King had something that he wanted to talk to me about alone, which worked out since there was something that I wanted to talk to him alone about as well.

Once all of the high elves and the royal guards were gone, it was just the Elven King and me who were left in this tent. Though the high elves and royal guards were still standing guard outside of the tent.

When we were alone, it seemed like the Elven King wanted to say something.

But before he could…

"I have something that your majesty might be interested in."

The Elven King seemed surprised to hear this, but there was a smile that appeared on his face as he said, "Your majesty, please speak freely. We are all friends here, you can tell me anything you want."

I gave a nod before saying, "I'm sure that our kingdoms have things that we can exchange with each other and after getting to know each other, I have a sense of what we both want. That's why I have something that I feel that you would be interested in."

The Elven King didn't say anything this time, but he did give a nod to show that he was willing to listen.

With a smile, I said, "This is an offer that you can't refuse."

When the Elven King heard my offer, there was a strange look that appeared on his face before he slowly asked, "Are you certain of this?"

With a nod, I said, "Of course. I feel that this is the only way that we can truly get closer to one another as kingdoms."

The Elven King didn't respond right away as he looked at me as if he was confirming something, but then there was a wide smile that appeared on his face as he said, "Your majesty, if you're willing to go this far, how could I refuse? It's just, how will we handle this matter?"

I didn't answer right away and looked like I was thinking about something before suddenly saying, "Will you gather the high elves that support you tomorrow? I wish to discuss this matter with them and set the terms."

The Elven King seemed surprised to hear this before narrowing his eyes to look at me.

Then a wide smile appeared on his face as he said, "You really are a true friend. To think that you would go this far for our Elven Kingdom."

Though he said this, it was clear what he was referring to when he said the 'Elven Kingdom'.

I just looked back at him with a knowing smile without saying anything.

The two of us just looked at each other like this before the Elven King gave a clap and said in a happy voice, "Not a problem. I'll hold the best banquet our Elven Kingdom has ever had and invite everyone. This is the least that I can do as the host."

But I didn't have to say anything as there was an excited look that was in the Elven King's eyes.

When I offered this thing that he couldn't refuse, he just couldn't help taking the bait.

Only he didn't know that this would lead to his downfall.
