Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure-Chapter 1468: Red feast (4)
The castle that should have been filled with people seemed completely abandoned.
Though this part of the castle was a place that only those trusted by the Elven King should have come to, it was still a place that had a decent amount of people walking around.
Especially since there was a feast happening.
At the same time, there wasn’t a single elven servant that was walking around.
For them to have all disappeared, it was clear that there was something happening.
Before the Elven King and the high elves could react, there was a sound that came from in front of them. When they heard this sound, they couldn’t help knitting their brows even more.
That was because they recognized the sound.
It was the sound of weapons clashing, it was the sound of someone fighting.
But why would there be fighting when a banquet was happening?
"What’s going on out there?" I suddenly asked after the Elven King and the high elves had been standing there for a while.
That was when the Elven King and the high elves came back to their senses.
"It’s nothing." The Elven King quickly said before turning around with a smile on his face to say, "It seems that there’s a small problem happening outside. If you just wait a moment, we’ll go and take care of it right away."
The other high elves also followed the Elven King after he said this.
I raised a brow and looked like I wanted to say something, but they didn’t give me a chance.
In fact, the Elven King even took me by the shoulder and brought me back into the room to force me to sit down.
It seemed like they really didn’t want me getting involved in whatever was happening.
After spending a while to make sure that I remained in this room, the Elven King and the other high elves finally left to take care of whatever they needed to take care of.
Though before leaving, they actually left a barrier on the door of the room.
It wouldn’t trap me, but it would keep me safe from quite a few things based on the mana fluctuations that came from it. It seemed that I was quite important to them that they were willing to create such a barrier just for me.
But I wasn’t worried at all.
After all, I knew what was causing those sounds in the first place.
The fact that those sounds were ringing out was actually a good thing since it meant that the plan was going accordingly.
All that was left was to wait for someone to come and pick me up.
During the time that I was waiting in the room, there were quite a few sounds that came from outside the room.
The most concerning thing was that there were several explosions that rang out.
But after a while, the door to this room opened.
I looked up to see that it was someone who was wearing the same clothing as the High Priestess, but it was a face that I didn’t recognize.
I didn’t panic when I saw this elf and just calmly asked, "Is it time?"
That elf gave a nod before turning around as if he was going to lead the way for me.
I couldn’t help feeling that it was a bit strange that they weren’t saying anything, but I still followed them in the end. It wasn’t as if I could do anything by remaining in this room, so I wanted to see where this elf was leading me.
It wasn’t as if I recognized the corridors of the Elven King’s castle since it wasn’t a place that I was familiar with, so I had no idea where we were going.
But it felt like this wasn’t the right way.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked all of a sudden as I stopped following the elf.
The elf didn’t answer at first, but when he saw that I stopped moving, he turned around to look at me. The way that he looked at me was almost as if he was annoyed that I had stopped all of a sudden.
But that look quickly disappeared as he asked in a concerned voice, "Is something wrong?"
I didn’t answer this as I asked once again, "Where are you taking me?"
The elf revealed a concerned look as he said, "We’re going to where the High Priestess and the others are. Is there something wrong?"
"Is that so?" I asked in an almost taunting voice.
The elf didn’t reveal any expressions at first, but then he suddenly said with a sigh, "You really are quite sharp, but that isn’t a good thing. I was supposed to bring you a bit further, but this should be far enough."
After saying this, he pulled out something that seemed to be a whistle and that was proven as he blew into it.
The moment that the elf blew into that whistle, there were sounds that came from all around me.
It didn’t take long for a group of elves to appear, but they weren’t wearing the same thing as the elf that led me. It seemed that they were fully equipped for a fight.
"So why are you all doing this? Is it because I was offering the wyverns to the Elven King?" I said in a calm voice while looking around myself at the elves that were surrounding me.
The one thing that I took note of was the way that they had surrounded me.
They had completely surrounded me so that I wouldn’t be able to take a single step past them.
It was clear that they had been specially trained in this and they had come prepared.
That meant that there was someone that had sent them after me.
"You don’t need to know anything. The only thing that you have to know is that you’ll die here today." The elf in the priest outfit said this before waving his hand at the other elves.
