The brown bear licked his lips, glancing at the meditating goblin.

He took slow steps towards Goblin.

Giliberu had stopped focusing on the world. He didn't even notice the brown bear closing in on him.

"Demonic Claw!" The bear cast as his right claw glowed with black energy.

"Demonic Surge." He flared with demonic force as he lunged at Giliberu and swung his claw.

Whoosh!

Just when the claw was close to Giliberu's head, almost connecting him, a golden light appeared, covering Giliberu's body.

Boom! The black-energy enhanced claw struck the golden barrier around Giliberu's head.

The golden light flared and flung Bear into the air.

The brown bear fell a few meters away.

"What's this?" the bear muttered, tilting his head.

"Demonic Surge!" he roared as demonic force poured out even more. "Demonic Claw!" Both of his claws were enhanced by demonic force.

He rushed towards Giliberu, and he kept slamming his claws left and right—on Giliberu's body from different angles—which was covered with a layer of golden light.

He didn't back down.

After a few moments, the bear took a few steps back and muttered, taking a deep breath, "What's going on? This stinky goblin is still like a rock. My attacks aren't working on him."

He lunged at Giliberu yet again, casting, "Demonic Headbutt!"

The bear's head glowed with a layer of black energy as he slammed his head against Giliberu's head.

The bear fell a few meters away as golden light flared bright on contact.

The bear stood up, rubbing his bleeding head as his vision spun.

He took a few steps left and right to balance himself, barking, "What's going on? I cannot kill him. Why?"

But he didn't give up.

Bang!—he kept slamming his body into Giliberu from front, back, left, and right.

"That's not enough," the bear hissed, rubbing his bleeding body. He raised his palm and cast, "Fire Explosion."

A crimson magic rune flared on the bear's palm, as a large flame pillar rose into the sky from beneath Giliberu's ground.

The fire exploded. Giliberu reappeared in vision, still calm, unmoving, surrounded by golden light. Even the rock he was sitting on was unharmed.

"Damn it… I won't give up," the bear roared, as he dashed again, flaring with demonic force.

After a few hours—

The bear fell to the ground, taking deep breaths as his demonic force had been exhausted long ago.

"No… no, I cannot keep up. This stinky goblin is different from others. I should leave," he winced.

His eyes were wet as he glanced at his claws; his sharp nails had been chipped away.

His entire body was bleeding, and his sweat flowed on the ground.

Bear grumbled, "My entire body hurts like hell."

He tried to stand up, but his hands trembled. He lost power and thud! fell again as he couldn't exert energy from his hands.

He hissed, "My reserves are exhausted… I need to wait."

He closed his eyes and grunted as his mana and aura slowly recovered.

"Aura Recovery." He used the skill as crimson aura erupted from his body, healing his injuries.

He stood up and glanced at Giliberu, who didn't even open his eyes, with a scowl.

"I'll be back," The bear yelled and ran away.

Time passed by as Giliberu focused on chanting the mantra, while visualizing the image of the Creation Goddess in his mind.

Zzz!

The sky rumbled as water drops began to fall.

Heavy rain fell on the ground. Giliberu's robe became wet and sticky, yet he didn't open his eyes.

If not for his chest moving, one would have believed he was a sculpture.

Seasons blurred into one another.

From a white flower, an ant came and climbed onto a rock. A skinny goblin of 141 cm sat cross-legged, meditating.

Giliberu's skin seemed to be just a layer over his bones, as his ribs would be clearly visible beneath the robe.

The ant tilted its head and climbed on Giliberu's foot.

It pierced Giliberu's toe, but golden light flashed and sent the ant flying.

Suddenly, a flash of pink aura emerged from Giliberu.

[ Ding! The Third strike of Carnal Impulse has begun! ]

A beautiful young woman with black hair, clad in an elevated gown, her temperament was very seductive.

She glared at the goblin, who lost his senses over the world.

"What the…" she muttered, opening her mouth wide open.

Goblin was flaring with the pink aura, yet his body stayed silent. In the previous two times, a bulge emerged on his lower body.

This time, there was nothing; the pink aura was pushed back with golden light.

Carnal Impulse's power pink aura couldn't even form a crack in golden energy.

Pink energy tried to burst out, yet all it could do was sizzle under the tight golden lock.

"Is this goblin serious?" the woman scowled. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

"He is truly walking the path of a sage," she muttered, holding her forehead.

She sighed, "I cannot even touch him now."

She took a few steps forward.

When she was close to Giliberu, a golden light emitted outward from the goblin, which pushed her back.

"Tch!" She clicked her tongue.

"Hahah," she laughed out loud, "First time, in my entire life, I have seen a goblin this capable—and this would be his third time."

She sat on the ground, holding her chin. She asked herself, "What to do?"

"With my current power, I cannot break this force," she calculated. "Only Tier 4 power could break this…. based on his current faith."

She plainly glanced at the sky, lying on the ground.

Time ticked, yet the pink aura was tightly locked under the golden light; Giliberu's body didn't move an inch.

"It's time," she said flatly, as she disappeared.

[ Ding! You withstood the Carnal Impulse's third strike! ]

[ Ding! You have overcome Carnal Impulse 3/6!

Next strike approximate time: 15-25 years!

Note: It will stay dormant for some time to accumulate energy; be cautious of the next strike! ]

A notification flashed in Giliberu's vision, yet he didn't even notice it. His focus didn't waver, as he lost himself in his mental plane while praying to the Creation Goddess.

Snow buried him. The sun scorched the rock. Rain lashed the pond. Flowers bloomed and died. The cycle repeated ten times.

"Third stage," Holy Sage Thalmyr's words echoed in Giliberu's head.

"It's not so easy to please divine… in the next stage you have to…"
