Spoiled By My Brothers: Return of The Lost Heiress-Chapter 76: I’m Your Second Brother!
Chapter 76: I’m Your Second Brother!
Author’s POV
The student was stunned. He had never seen someone walk with such authority and a dangerous aura around him.
Even his father, who was a retired officer, didn’t carry this kind of aura.
He sneaked a glance at the man beside him. He was dressed in black, wearing a mask and sunglasses, but still impossible to ignore. His presence alone made it hard to breathe.
’Wasn’t Seraphina an orphan? Then who is this guy?’ the student wondered, but didn’t dare to ask.
He quietly led the man and the two others behind him through the corridor toward the dean’s office.
The student was still in his thoughts, but froze at the voice coming from inside the dean’s office.
Even with the door closed, Asher’s words rang out like thunder.
"I want the hand that hit my sister!"
The boy turned to Alistair, his legs trembling slightly. "T–that voice... It’s Asher Lancaster."
Alistair didn’t respond. His jaw tightened, his brows furrowed, and his hands were already clenched into fists.
He wasn’t angry because Asher had said those words. He was angry because he wasn’t the one to tell them first.
Moreover, who the fuck had such guts to hit his sister!?
Jack took a step forward cautiously. "Should we—"
Before he could finish, already moved and pushed the door open without knocking.
Alistair’s chest tightened, seeing the scene unfolding in front of him.
Seraphina stood in front of the dean’s desk like a culprit, and there was a random boy who looked clearly frustrated by the situation.
And then, there was Asher, whose expression was unreadable, and his eyes were blazing in anger. He looked like a man who was ready to burn anything in front of him.
What is he doing here? Don’t tell me he is here to make things difficult for Sera? Alistair thought as he clenched his teeth.
All eyes turned to the door the moment it opened. Alistair stepped in without a word, his gaze landing straight on Seraphina.
Seraphina blinked rapidly at the sudden intrusion. At first, she didn’t recognize him... not because he was wearing sunglasses or dressed differently, but because she had not expected him to be there this soon.
"Asher," he said, his voice sharp. "Don’t tell me you are making trouble for my Sera again!" freeweɓnovel-cøm
"Whose Sera did you say she was again?" Asher’s attention changed from the teacher to the newly arrived rival.
"Mine!" Alistair declared as he walked toward Seraphina and looked at her.
One look, and Alistair was swirling with several emotions.
Seraphina’s brows furrowed. "Wait... what’s going on?"
Alistair finally removed his sunglasses and met her eyes, the eyes he was dying to look into.
"You probably won’t know me," he said quietly in a low tone. He was afraid that he might scare her with his overwhelming personality.
Seraphina’s lips parted, but no words came out. Her body froze as her eyes locked onto his face.
She knew that voice and the warmth that his presence held.
Her mind couldn’t catch up with his sudden appearance, but his heart was already melting at the sight of her second brother.
The only one who had ever looked for her when she had suddenly vanished without a clue. He was the one who fought his own family to look for her and did everything he could to find her in her previous life.
But he wasn’t supposed to be here right now!
In her past life, he had found her much later than now, when she was almost broken.
But he had been her light in the darkest place, who held her in his warm embrace and told her repeatedly, "You don’t have to be afraid anymore."
So why was he here, now?
Her mind buzzed with questions.
Her hands had started to shake, and she didn’t even realize she had taken a step back until her shoulder hit the cold wall.
She wanted to say something, but nothing came out of her mouth. Her heart was pounding too loudly. She didn’t even know if this was real or another dream her mind had created to cope with everything.
Alistair took a slow and careful step forward as he didn’t want to scare her.
"I’m your Second Brother," he repeated in a firm tone. "And I came here to take you home."
"There’s no need to take her home," Asher cut in sharply, his voice filled with irritation. He couldn’t just stand there anymore and watch Alistair snatch his sister away from him.
"Can’t you see you’re scaring her?" he added, stepping forward until he was right in front of Seraphina, shielding her with his body.
Asher’s eyes didn’t leave Alistair’s while doing all these things.
It’s not like he doubted Alistair, but he had already seen the behaviour of the Lancasters toward her, and he didn’t want to hurt Sera even more.
"And just so you know," Asher continued, raising the gift box in his hand. "I came here to surprise her... but then that fucking teacher bastard—" he pointed straight at the teacher, "he dared to hit her, called her a vixen and mocked her for being an orphan."
"Orphan?" Something snapped in Alistair’s mind as his smile was gone. His entire expression changed in a blink.
His warmth vanished, replaced by an eerie silence that filled the room like smoke before fire.
His head slowly turned toward the man Asher had pointed at.
"What did you say she was?" he asked in a way too low tone.
His gentle and easy-to-approach big brother was completely gone; what was left was the dangerous Alistair Lancaster, who was known for his deadly personality.
Everyone in the room could feel the chill run down their spine.
Even Jack, who had been standing behind quietly, tensed up, and Tyler, who had tagged along to watch the "fun," stood frozen after knowing who the man was!
The Alistair Lancaster.
"I asked what you say she was!" He repeated, this time his voice was louder.
