Spoiled by the CEO after amnesia!-Chapter 564 - 562: Escape
The wolfhounds had silver chains around their necks, which wrapped around the man’s wrist on the other end.
As the stranger approached, both wolfhounds uttered terrifying growls from their throats and lunged at Liang Anya.
"King, Queen!" Si Yuheng lazily chided and gave the chains a slight tug.
The fierce dogs immediately lay down like obedient children beside the man.
Liang Anya broke out in a cold sweat.
Si Yuheng glanced at her, "I hear you were looking for me? What is it, you want to leave?"
Liang Anya felt that if her answer had been "yes," the man would have unleashed the wolfhounds on her within minutes!
Of course, she wasn’t that foolish; proceeding with the plan she had thought out in her room, her eyes slyly flickered, "I didn’t say I want to leave! I just don’t know how long you plan to keep me locked up. Staying inside a room every day can lead to depression! I hope I can go outside to walk a little every day. Even prisoners get to have time in the yard, right? I understand you’re keeping me under house arrest and not killing me because you see some use in me. But what good would it do for you if I went mad from confinement?"
Si Yuheng chuckled softly, "Time outside?"
Liang Anya continued to muster her courage, "Rest assured, haven’t you assigned Kasey to keep an eye on me? If necessary, just have a few more bodyguards follow me during my time outside. It would just be around the villa; I won’t go far! Besides, I know your villa is on an island next to Yunling, where can I possibly run to?"
Si Yuheng, with half-closed eyes, weighed her words briefly, confident she wouldn’t be able to pull any tricks, and dismissively agreed, "Alright, then."
Liang Anya’s heart sank back into place.
But before she could fully rejoice, Si Yuheng’s gaze slid down and he picked up an idle chain from the ground that was used to tether the dogs, tossing it to the bodyguard.
The bodyguard understood the implication, "Understood, Hall Master!"
Liang Anya was taken aback, "What are you doing?"
Si Yuheng sat up straight, a lazy smile on his face that was tinged with endless cunning, "From now on, wear this on your ankle when you go out. How else can I be sure? Honey, you’re so capable and bold, what if you run away?"
Liang Anya’s face turned purple with anger, "Are you treating me like a dog?"
"You don’t have to wear it," Si Yuheng snapped his fingers, signaling the bodyguard to bring back the dog chain.
"Fine, fine! I’ll wear it, okay?" Liang Anya clenched her teeth in anger.
As the bodyguard was about to take Liang Anya upstairs, Si Yuheng’s sinister gaze fell upon her, his tone slicing through her delicate skin like a knife, "
"...Don’t say I didn’t warn you, if you have any clever ideas or try any tricks, your end will be very miserable."
After a pause, "Go back!"
Before Liang Anya could recover, the bodyguard behind her hoisted her up and led her straight upstairs.
Si Yuheng was true to his word.
Starting from that evening, Liang Anya was allowed to walk around the villa every day under the supervision of Kasey and a bodyguard, with strict time restrictions—no more than ten minutes each time, and not further than five hundred meters from the villa.
Before each departure, Kasey followed the Hall Master’s orders, chaining Liang Anya’s ankle.
Liang Anya could only beg Kasey to make it as loose as possible.
With the ankle chain, walking became a sluggish affair, let alone running; yet even so, it couldn’t deter Liang Anya’s determination to escape.
Through several days of observation, Liang Anya realised, just as she had expected, that the house was a secluded holiday villa in the midst of the island’s dense forests.
The surroundings of the island were dense with jungles, tree holes, mountain caves, and even natural caverns.
However, perhaps because of the cover provided by the trees, her chances of escape might be greater.
Such islands, though specifically meant for the wealthy to vacation, were rarely visited, but fishing boats would pass by the shores daily.
Maybe she could hide in a concealed spot near the coast and then call for help when a fishing boat approached, to take her back to Yunling City!
At any rate, she couldn’t continue to be trapped in that mansion!
That evening, as usual, came time for ventilation, and Kasey shackled Liang Anya’s ankles.
Liang Anya had observed the day’s activity and felt that today was a good opportunity.
Si Yuheng had taken his subordinates out for business, and they hadn’t returned yet. She had prepared everything necessary during the past few days.
Sitting on the bed, Liang Anya watched Kasey squatting on the ground fitting her with shackles and cooed, "Big beauty, can you make it a bit looser today? Look at my feet, they’re blistered and it hurts so much! You don’t know how heavy these iron chains are!"
"Looser? If you run, the Hall Master will kill me." Even if Kasey was again big-chested and airheaded, she wasn’t foolish to that extent.
Liang Anya persisted, "How could I run? I have these shackles on my feet, and with you and that bodyguard big brother in front and behind me, I couldn’t even move if I grew wings! Besides, this is an island, not the mainland, where could I possibly run to? Leap into the sea? Please, big beauty, I’m not saying I won’t wear the shackles, just loosen them by two notches so I can walk more comfortably."
Kasey’s ears were about to develop calluses from all the nagging and finally lost her patience, "All right, all right! You sure are chatty!" She said as she loosened Liang Anya’s ankle chains by two notches.
Liang Anya stood up, took a few steps with the clattering shackles, and hey, her strides were much bigger than the previous days.
She followed Kasey downstairs, where the bodyguard had already been waiting for a while.
The three of them, making use of the fading daylight, left the mansion.
As before, the bodyguard led the way, Kasey followed behind, and Liang Anya, with her shackles, walked in the middle like a sandwich biscuit.
There was a piece of woods near the mansion, where they usually went for ventilation and then circled back to the mansion.
The time was neither too much nor too little, exactly fifteen minutes back and forth.
Today’s primary mission was to shake off the bodyguard first.
The bodyguard was European, towering at one ninety-three, with muscles intimidating enough that Liang Anya admitted she wouldn’t stand a chance even if there were ten of herself.
She had to rely on cunning strategies, not brute force.
As long as she could shake off the bodyguard first, dealing with Kasey would be much easier.
They reached the woods and ambled around. As the sky darkened, just as the three were about to head back to the mansion, Liang Anya started calling out in distress, clutching her stomach and squatting down.
The bodyguard stopped in his tracks and turned around impatiently, "What’s the matter?"
Kasey also frowned, stepping forward to check, "What happened?"
"Big beauty sister, my stomach really hurts, probably the meat from dinner was too greasy and indigestible," Liang Anya wailed, "I can’t take it, I must go to the side to relieve myself."
"Wait to relieve yourself back at the mansion!" the bodyguard refused.
"It’s a five or six-minute walk back, who can hold it when it’s diarrhea!" Liang Anya clutched her stomach, "I can’t bear it. Big beauty sister, I won’t be able to hold on much longer—"
