"Yeah," Yana replied softly. "She's with me every weekend."

As she spoke, she glanced at Ryan hesitantly and cautiously.

After all, Ryan's previous inappropriate behavior with her sister's underwear had made her wary.

Ryan understood her concern and, after a moment of thought, said, "Alright, then Lyla and I will head back to school."

Yana returned to her apartment, while Ryan and Lyla went back to school. It happened to be just after evening self-study had ended.

As they entered the school gates, Ryan suddenly received a call. A man's voice growled, "Ryan, where are you?"

Ryan frowned, annoyed. "Can't you speak properly? Who the hell are you?"

"You dare curse at me?" The voice on the other end was aggressive. "I'm Dongle, the head of the school security team. Get back to your dorm right now and see what you've done."

With that, the call ended. Ryan frowned, escorted Lyla back to the girls' dorm, and then returned to his own dorm.

The dorm door was wide open, and there was a lot of noise inside, with people arguing. Many onlookers were gathered in the hallway. Ryan didn't notice Kaiden and Henry hiding in the crowd, smirking.

As Ryan walked into the dorm, the burly security captain, Dongle, pointed at him and said, "That's him. Grab him."

At his command, two middle-aged security guards approached with restraint straps. Ryan's eyes turned cold, and he pushed them away, cursing, "What the hell are you playing at? Who do you think you are?"

Dongle, seeing this, barked, "You thieving little bastard, you dare resist? Do you think the security team is just for show?"

He pulled out a rubber baton from behind his back. Ryan's expression turned icy, and without another word, he grabbed a vernier caliper from behind the door and said coldly, "What the hell are you talking about?"

"Who's the thief? Did your parents raise you to be this full of crap? Stop putting on this act."

Just as tensions were about to explode, a strikingly attractive figure rushed into the dorm.

Her chest heaved dramatically as she ran, a sight so mesmerizing it was impossible to ignore. Even if you didn't know her name, you'd know her nickname: Brisbane University's Top Cow.

Yasmin, panting heavily, positioned herself protectively in front of Ryan and said, "Captain Lin, explain yourself properly. What's the meaning of resorting to violence right away?"

"Oh, it's Ms. Yasmin. You finally showed up!" Dongle's lecherous gaze was impossible to hide, and the other security guards were no better. The sight of her chest rising and falling with each breath was enough to spike anyone's blood pressure.

Dongle put on a stern face and pointed at Ryan's bed. "During dinner, many students used their phones to reserve library seats, but their phones were stolen. They reported it to us."

"Look, the stolen goods are right here. Caught red-handed. What more is there to say?"

Ryan turned and cursed, "Screw your 'caught red-handed.' You think you're the king of the world, deciding who's guilty?"

"You little brat, your attitude is terrible!" Dongle sneered. "The school doesn't want to air its dirty laundry. Admit your mistake, write a self-criticism, and at worst, you'll be expelled. At best, you might get probation."

"But if we call the police, with the value of these phones, you're looking at three to five years minimum!"

Dongle added ingratiatingly, "Ms. Yasmin, look at his attitude. He shows no remorse. How are we supposed to write our report?"

Yasmin's eyes were unwavering as she coldly replied, "Spare me your fake concern. The theft just happened, and you've already pinpointed the culprit? Your security team must be full of forensic experts."

Without even needing to ask Ryan, Yasmin pulled out her phone and started dialing. "No one leaves until this matter is cleared up. Don't even think about framing my student."

"Begging won't help you now," Dongle said arrogantly. "The evidence is clear. If you keep shielding your student, Ms. Yasmin, your professionalism is questionable."

"Question your mother! You think you're the king of the world, deciding what's what? Stop barking like a dog."

Before Ryan could even curse, Yasmin beat him to it. "I'll handle my student. I don't need your input."

Yasmin knew Ryan's wealth better than anyone. While others might be suspects, the idea that Ryan would steal a few cheap phones was something she'd never believe, even if beaten to death.

Dongle was left speechless. "Who... who are you calling?"

"The police!"

Yasmin connected the call and immediately said, "Hello, I'd like to report a crime. Over a dozen students at Brisbane University Library have had their phones stolen. We're currently at..."

Upon hearing that the police were being called, Dongle panicked and said, "Ms. Yasmin, are you out of your mind? Don't you care about the consequences?"

"Screw the consequences!" Yasmin's tone was resolute.

Dongle quickly adopted a pleading tone, saying, "Ms. Yasmin, if we handle this internally, the worst that could happen is expulsion. But if you call the police, this will blow up. Don't you care about the school's reputation?"

Hidden in the crowd, Henry and Kaiden were also stunned. Kaiden quickly added, "Yeah, teacher, you're ruining a student's future."

"Bullshit! You can't just convict my student based on a few words. No way!"

Yasmin's voice was firm as she angrily retorted, "Trying to frame someone, huh? You came straight to this dorm without checking any others."

"If you have any information, you'd better explain it clearly to the police. Even fortune-tellers aren't as accurate as you."

Kaiden quickly interjected, "But the stolen items were found on his bed. Besides, everyone knows this guy's always been short on money."

He was trying to incite the crowd to join in.

However, Jacob immediately stepped forward and shouted, "So what if he's short on money? It's none of your damn business!"

Weston also joined in, yelling, "Being broke is his own problem. At least he's not like some people who pretend to be rich and disown their own fathers. What the hell are you barking about?"
