SSS Awakening: I Can Steal Attributes-Chapter 21: Grouped
A Group-type dungeon, as the name suggests, is a dungeon that allows two or more people to be teleported inside at the same time and at the same location.
When an awakener first enters a dungeon, no matter how strong, they would still be sent to a random location inside the dungeon whether they like it or not.
If they did not kill a monster and exited the dungeon by chance, the next time they entered, they would still be randomly teleported to another location.
Only when one kills a monster before exiting the portal will they be transported to the same portal they exited the next time they enter the said dungeon.
This rule is applicable no matter what the dungeon type was.
The number of people who could enter at the same time also varies depending on the dungeon’s grade and threat level. The higher the grade or threat level, the more awakeners could enter at the same time.
Out of all types of dungeons, Group-type dungeons are also the most sought by Awakened Professionals.
Since they could form a group the first time they entered it, they are often good targets for new explorers.
Going inside with a team was, after all, much safer compared to going alone.
If you could trust your team, that is.
Teacher Rosa explained the details of Group-type dungeons once again, refreshing everyone’s knowledge about them.
"With that being said, since you will be entering a Group-type dungeon, I will group you guys into four members each, since that is the maximum number of people that could enter an F-Threat Group-type dungeon."
"Don’t worry. I have already reviewed the information you’ve entered based on the talents you have awakened. I have also factored in the theoretical and practical test results that have been conducted since the first day you attended."
"Rest assured that the teammates I have chosen for you include multiple factors. So I expect that you and your teammates should be able to complement each other."
Hearing that, the crowd began to chatter with each other as well.
They knew themselves best, and most of them had already formed their own groups. If possible, they would obviously want to team up with those they were already familiar with.
However, it seems that Teacher Rosa had already decided, and her decision could no longer be changed.
And when they thought deeply about it, they even thought that it was better this way since some of the groups they formed included more than four members.
At the back, Desther also thought that this was a good move from Teacher Rosa.
It also prevented the loners like him from becoming isolated and ending up having no people to partner or team up with.
He just wondered how she would handle the distribution, though.
In this class, there are a total of twenty-seven students.
In that case, there could only be 6 groups of 4, and then the seventh group would only consist of 3 people.
’So, around eleven percent chance that I will be in that group consisting of three people, huh,’ Desther quickly calculated inside his head as Teacher Rosa began to call the names of students who would be in the same group.
"Liam, Sofia, Marcus, Natasha, you guys will be in the same group. Move to your teammates and familiarize yourselves with each other."
The first group of students that was called stood up and gathered together.
Teacher Rosa named the next group, as well.
As she began to introduce each student, Desther quickly formed a guess about how she decided to distribute them. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
’So, top scorer, low scorer, good hand-to-hand combat ability, and another with a meek personality are being grouped together.’
Desther immediately realized that she was going for a balanced and steady lineup.
Considering that this was only a temporary team up, Desther thought that this was actually a good move.
Now, he was just waiting for his name to be called.
The second, third, and fourth teams were called one after the other. Every name that was called also confirms his conjecture regarding the team distribution.
Just as Desther thought that his name would not be called yet, Teacher Rosa suddenly announced the fifth group to team up.
’Lucky, I’m not part of that group of three.’
"Elena, Desther, Noah, Lexie..."
Desther released a sigh upon hearing those names.
’Welp... changed my mind... how unlucky. Maybe being part of that group of three won’t be that bad at all.’
Meanwhile, upon hearing their names being called, Lexie and the other two stood up and began to gather. They were only a few chairs apart, so the three of them were able to gather quickly.
A slight smile formed at the corner of Lexie’s lips as she noticed Desther making his way over.
Like the others, Desther also stood up from his seat and began making his way toward his assigned group.
He might be opposing it internally, but he would surely not contradict the teacher’s decision.
He also did not think that this was deliberate.
After all, by normal standards, their group of four indeed fell in the category of being balanced and steady like he was speculating earlier.
As he stood up, Desther also felt some glares being directed his way.
He took a look at Noah and noticed that he was having the same treatment.
’Should be because they wanted to be part of Lexie’s team.’
As the most popular girl in their room, it was only normal that others would feel jealous of him and Noah getting to partner with Lexie.
Her popularity soared even more after the last dungeon incident.
After the interview, it was already publicly known that she had a B-Grade Talent. She used that talent to outmaneuver the Dungeon Boss until the teacher arrived to save her.
B-Grade Talent is already a very good grade for talent.
One must note that higher grades don’t necessarily mean that an Awakener would suddenly gain immense strength.
In most cases, it only serves as a scale for an Awakener’s potential.
And having a B-Grade Talent, meant that Lexie would surely be able to reach at least Tier 4 Professional Awakener.
With such strength, it was already enough to stand shoulder to shoulder with the strongest humans on the planet. Each of them is capable of massive destruction, akin to renewable nuclear weapons.
Due to this, Lexie was ’pardoned’ by the school, and she did not have to pay any compensation for the dungeon.
As a matter of fact, the school even offered her a lot of benefits for being a generational genius that they could be proud of.
Having that kind of reputation, it was only normal that a lot of people would want to team up with her, right?
Desther just ignored their glares as he made his way to the three who had already gathered.
"Alright! Since Desther is already here, let us begin by reintroducing ourselves to each other, shall we?"
