SSS-RANK SUMMONING WEAPON SYSTEM-Chapter 43: Brian
Brian wiped the sweat from his face with his towel as he stood in the huge, sunny courtyard. The instructor had finished his training and had told him he was free for the rest of the day. He was going to enjoy the free time he had.
As an S-rank hero, his responsibilities were much higher, and the priority placed on him was at the utmost level. The instructors had been training him repeatedly, preparing him for when he would eventually have to leave to face the Demaranians that people had been talking about.
He still couldn’t even believe it himself. He was now someone important, no longer overlooked. People finally respected him and he enjoyed it. He enjoyed being here, much better than his dull and monotonous world.
He had also gotten better in his bone ability, similar to an anime character he had watched back in his other world. It was efficient, durable, and useful for other aspects that didn’t require training.
He glanced at his classmates; some were still training with their instructors, others conversing with themselves, and some shamelessly groping male and female maids and patrolling from one place to another.
But there was one thing he could never forget in his head. Someone whom he couldn’t forget. The one person who brought a dark cloud over his head.
Xavier.
His best friend.
He was stupid. He couldn’t even believe what he had done. He really couldn’t. How could he be so...cruel. He had left his best friend to die in that dungeon. Xavier had been his best friend since he came to the school. He could have chosen anyone rather than him, yet he chose him, and he had been by his side. Brian had always been a sore loser, bullied, overlooked, mocked and yet Xavier had chosen him.
But he had betrayed him, the moment Xavier needed him the most and he had refused, watching him as he cursed and disappeared. The look in his eyes as he stared at him had brought him shivers anytime he had remembered it. It was the look of someone who wanted to kill. And Brian knew he deserved it.
His classmates didn’t care; their class had always been bullied by people from different classes, but Xavier had defended the class and brought the bullying to a stop. But his classmates didn’t care or had they forgotten.
Brian began to walk in the direction of the castle. He had to talk to a few people. He walked as a chorus of maids and soldiers began to greet him.
"Good afternoon, Hero." A beautiful girl giggled as she walked past, gdr etes all over him.
Brian smiled back at her as he made his way to the castle door and entered. The hall was busy, soldiers and maids each doing their duties amicably while greeting him and having small conversations with him.
Brian smoothly replied until he arrived at a door. He could hear giggling and soft talk inside. He opened the door and walked in.
There, sitting on a very large chair in the decorated room, was Dennis. He sat in the middle between two gorgeous women who were clearly and way older than him. His right hand was possessively in one of the women’s breasts, and he was laughing, drinking, and conversing with them.
He saw Brian walking in and he smiled.
"What’s up, man?" He spoke. "Care to join? There’s good wine up in here."
"We need to talk, dude," Brian stated, his voice calm.
Dennis frowned; he certainly didn’t want to talk, but he raised a hand, and the two women took it as their cue to leave, but not without flirtatious winks and stares.
Just as the door closed, Dennis spoke. "What’s up?"
Brian sat opposite him. : Why did we do what we did? "
"Huh?" Dennis was confused. "Do what?"
Agreeing that Xavier should be banished. " Brian snapped. "Why the hell did we agree on that. What the fuckngot into us"
"You’re still up on that. That shit has passed. " 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
"He was our classmate. We should have defended him, refused even."
"And risk being thrown into the same hellhole as him." Dennis scoffed. "No thanks. He’s better down there. Dead."
"You would not have been able to say the same shit you’re spouting if he were alive."
"Well, I’m happy he’s dead."
Brian shook his head in anger. "Forget it, man. You’rejust a sick bastard that was not daring to take him downin a fight, even."
He got up and marched out of the room in anger, leaving Dennis all alone.
"My offer still stands," Dennis shouted at him as he left. "The wine’s very good, still doesn’t matter that I’m underage."
He sipped more of the wine before he placed it down on the table, relaxed and stretched up his feet muttering. "Life’s really good."
’I also need to get laid this night.’ He thought, thinking of those women who were with him before Brian came in. ’These two will do nicely."

Meanwhile, in another room, Serena, the goddess, watched the conversation from the large holographic screen. Her fave was morphed into a thoughtful frown. She hadn’t expected what he was seeing. She thought she had done enough to make them forget, but it wasn’t enough.
’He still remembers the failure.’ She thought. ’I’ll need to make him forget this night. I’ll have to send a few maids to seduce him in his room this night. He won’t be able to remember after the night.’
She stretched out a finger as a massive book opened up before her. It was time to do the thing she always did that night. Reading up the records of the people, creatures, and entities that she had crushed. It kept her mind pleasant and always kept her in a good mood.
Just as she was about to read it, someone appeared behind her. He was tall, broad-shouldered, and had an eye patch covering his right eye.
The goddess sighed, closing her eyes. "I didn’t summon you, didI, Govak?
"Forgive me, great goddess. " Givak bowed as he spoke. "I come with news."
"What of it?"
"Carragis is empty as we speak."
Strange frowned. "What exactly do you mean by that?"
"No mutants are there. They’re gone."
"What about the Demaranian that used to kidnap the f ranks we sent there?"
"Killed at the entrance to the gate," Gobak replied. "Clearly not at the handiwork of her blood. She was killed by a human."
Serena’s eyes widened in shock. "Do you mean that? "
Govak nodded. "I hate to break it to you, my goddess, but the boy we banished recently is alive, and no doubt, coming for his classmates’ heads soon."
