SSS Ranked Dragon King: My Innate Ability is Unbelievable.-Chapter 187: Here it comes.
Chapter 187: Here it comes.
Su Ping’s dark tentacles began to wrap around the strewn pieces of flesh when he sensed a trembling sensation that spread throughout the earth.
"..?!" His eyes shot toward the cart in a flash. The trembling was coming from the cart, and it was growing rapidly.
This time the horses panicked in truth, crying out in fear as the dark sphere within the cart began to crack all over at a rapid pace.
"It’s breaking out now?! But why!" Su Ping gritted his teeth and lifted the dark sphere into the air with a thought.
[Shape Shift]
He didn’t hesitate to shift into a black eagle that shot into the sky, the dark sphere following behind.
Su Ping’s eyes roamed around the forest from above, looking for any open space suitable to suppress the Wolf King in.
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
The cracks on the dark sphere grew to a point where it ultimately shattered into countless pieces before he could find a suitable spot.
A pair of crimson eyes were filled with fleeting surprise when they realised they were so high up in the air, but when the creature caught a whiff of the air, its pupils dilated into slits and locked onto Su Ping.
"Don’t even think about it." Su Ping’s raven eyes glared at her coldly.
Her eyes widened when she felt the wind brushing against her bare skin as she fell toward the forest.
Su Ping’s eyes squinted in surprise when the Wolf King slammed into a tree, shattering it on impact, but the instant she was about to hit the next one, her body suddenly twisted mid-air. Her fingernails morphed into claws that latched onto the tree, leaving a deep and long gash as she slowed her momentum until she came to a stop.
She didn’t stop there. She gnashed her fangs, glaring up into the sky from down below. With a burst of overwhelming magical power, her body suddenly shifted into a blur the next moment.
"..?!!" Su Ping’s pupils dilated when she emerged before him in the blink of an eye, claws wide open as if they would slice him into pieces.
The shock of her instantaneous speed was so great that Su Ping, who usually didn’t bat an eye at anyone on the same level or above, was spooked out of his raven state, unconsciously reverting back to his human form.
"Nggghhh!" Su Ping groaned in pain when her claws sank into his flesh before her bullet-like figure knocked him through the air, shooting upwards.
’The f*ck is wrong with this beast? Is she trying to get us both killed?!’ Su Ping glared at the Wolf King after regaining some of his bearings. Realising they had ascended even higher, he cursed his luck.
"Are you crazy! Stop!" Su Ping tried shifting into something to stop their descent, or at least save them both, but the Wolf King began attacking him with her claws as they fell.
He summoned dark tentacles that sprouted from his back, but she easily tore through them while continuing her assault on him.
’That’s getting too close for comfort!’ Su Ping became worried when the ground began growing closer, signalling their impending descent.
"Damnit!!!" He yelled at the top of his lungs. He endured the pain from her claws and pulled her closer, holding her against his chest before summoning the thickest dark sphere he could muster.
BAMM!!!
The dark sphere shattered several tree branches, then several trees, before leaving a long trail in the earth until it finally lost all its momentum and came to a halt.
The dark sphere shattered the next moment, and two figures flew out in different directions, landing some distance from each other but with their gazes fixed on one another.
A strange fire burned in Su Ping’s eyes while the Wolf King glared at him with deep-seated hatred.
Su Ping felt the strange excitement he had once felt when fighting her the first time—the thrill of battling a strong opponent hidden deep within his dragon bloodline—finally rising to the surface.
BOOM!
The earth shook as both of them rushed at one another like bullets out of a muzzle. The air around them was blown away when they locked hands, their muscles tensing and trembling as one side tried to overpower the other.
"Is that the best you’ve got?!" Su Ping sneered, revealing his draconian fangs. The Wolf King’s brows furrowed in anger at the obvious taunt.
"GUAHH!" She jumped up and kicked Su Ping in the chest with both legs, sending him flying through the air like a cannonball.
He thrashed and crashed, destroying everything in his path—whether trees or animals, anything impacted by his body was blasted apart.
The Wolf King who delivered the blow followed up with another. Her powerful legs allowed her to instantly catch up with him.
She ran up to his side as his body bounced off the ground in that moment. She didn’t hesitate to deliver a 360° horizontal kick to the side of his face, sending him flying in another direction.
Like that, she would emerge next to him, delivering devastating blow after blow. Each attack was merciless; even Su Ping with his impressive defence was beginning to rack up severe injuries.
Cracked ribs, broken bones, ruptured organs, profuse bleeding, bruised muscles, swollen eye.
And yet, instead of feeling overwhelmed, his thirst for battle grew even more. His blood pumped faster and faster, coursing through his blood vessels like a speeding highway.
At the same time, his injured body began to heat up, his cells splitting and duplicating at a faster rate, healing his wounds much more quickly.
The Wolf King grew anxious when she wasn’t able to kill him after all those attacks, and she soon began to notice that her attacks were doing less damage as time went on. The darned demon simply refused to be killed, she was begining to think he was more cockroach than demon.
She snarled, shifting into a humanoid wolf form resembling a werewolf. She didn’t have enough energy to revert to her full wolf form, but she still barely managed to reach this one.
Her speed increased several-fold, and she emerged beside Su Ping, who was mid-air again. Her eyes gleamed like crescent moons as she delivered her most destructive attack yet—a destructive kick that heated the very air itself.
"Don’t you think it’s gotten too old already!" The Wolf King flinched when Su Ping, who was mid-air with his body flat and facing upwards, grabbed her heel with one arm.
CRACK!
Su Ping gnashed his teeth when he felt all the bones in his right arm crack, his muscles tearing in several places when he stopped her attack.
But he wasn’t done. In that split second, he used his aching arm to pull her body. His own body twisted as he slammed her face-first into the ground.
BOOM!!!
A huge crater formed, dust clouds rising into the air. The Wolf King, who couldn’t retaliate in time, reverted back to her human-like appearance. Her body bounced up; she involuntarily coughed up a mouthful of blood and teeth from the blow.
Su Ping slowly got back to his feet, huffing and panting while holding onto his right arm that looked like a mess—dangling and bleeding to the point of being drenched in blood.
His eyes glowed purple-black as he mimicked the Abyssal Blood Tree sprout’s regenerative ability. The next moment, the wounds all over his arm and body slowly closed up, stopping his bleeding—both external and internal. In a few seconds, his wounds were completely healed. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
"You sure you’re a wolf? If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you’re a darn roach instead." Su Ping chuckled as he approached the Wolf King, who was still trying to get back on her feet, her elbows trembling as she tried to push her upper body up.
"Arck!" She choked when Su Ping grabbed her by the neck, lifting her into the air.
Instead of fear, she glared at him, her eyes brimming with hatred as she clawed at his hands while kicking him. But Su Ping continuously activated the Abyssal Blood Tree sprout’s regenerative ability to heal each blow, no matter how severe. Fortunately, the little energy she had managed to muster soon ran out, making her completely helpless in his grasp.
Staring at the nude, beast-like woman struggling in his grasp, Su Ping didn’t know whether to feel glad that she had helped him increase his strength or helpless that she still hated him so much.
"Maybe this should do the trick..." Su Ping’s eyes glowed purple-black, the faint markings in them becoming a bit more visible as he began to warp her mind.
He wasn’t sure how it would turn out—Victoria’s case still left him feeling sceptical—but he had no other choice. He would rather have the Wolf King on his side than against him. Moreover, killing her would obviously be a waste since she was so powerful to begin with.
