SSS Ranked Shadow Monarch: Summoning Infinite Shadows-Chapter 275: The Fallen Angel

Aren looked at Lily. He started walking forward and speaking at the same time, "I’m far too tired to be bothered with whatever it is that you are doing right now, so get the heck out of my way now." Aren said, sounding pissed off.

No one understood the gravity of things that was happening right here, and they all felt like it was some sort of normal trial, while he knew otherwise.

One of the followers of Lily stepped forward, "tch, you keep getting stronger, all of you might be, but I’ll be damned if I’ll allow you to talk to us however you want." He spoke, fist clenched, boiling with anger at that moment.

Aren looked at the dude, pretty tall, black neck-length hair and a fiery demeanor.

"Tch, step off." Aren said in a dismissive tone.

"Arghk." The boy was stunned by the reply, his rage immediately rose rapidly, "you asshole," He yelled and charged ahead. His charge seemed to serve as the trigger needed for the fight to start, everyone charged forward toward Aren and his group.

"I don’t have the time for this." Aren said, his tone burning with urgency, he sensed Lily running away and heading towards the statue to enter.

He couldn’t allow her, so he made to chase.

"Focus on me." The first dude to attack got to Aren, his eyes burning with an intense gaze, and he threw both his hands far behind him like they were made of rubber.

"Arghhhhhhh, sling double punch." the dude yelled, and then fired one hand forward and the second hand soon after, creating two slingshot attacks at the same time at Aren.

’Elasticity, pretty wild.’

Aren leaped backwards.

BAM BAM

The hands slammed into the ground as she left fist-sized deep craters in the ground.

He landed on the ground and looked up, the dude was already charging in again, swinging his hands like a whip through the air, rubbery and extremely fast.

"Tch, this is wasting my time." Aren muttered and eagerly pushed forward, he dodged the first arm with ease, while the second came, and at the same time the first one retracting for another attack.

’Tch, I can tell that he has definitely mastered his ability, I’ll have to push a bit more.’ Aren thought, he crossed his arms and blocked the attack, it slammed in hard and threw Aren back, but that was part of the plan, as tendrils shot from the ground, wrapped around him and hurled him forward fast.

The dude looked at Aren coming in fast, gritting his teeth in anger and pulled his hands back, unleashing an attack with both hands, they extended extremely fast toward Aren, but midway two tendrils latched onto the arm and stopped it, allowing Aren to land his feet right into the face of the dude, his neck bent back long and rubbery.

’Tch, he is absorbing the shock of the attack with his neck.’

Aren spun in the air and slammed the face of the dude with a fast and powerful kick that caused the neck to stretch far in the distance.

Aren landed, but rather than being shocked that his attack did not work, he placed his hand on the chest of the dude and then looked at him right in the eye.

"I’m sorry about this, but you are not stopping me." Aren said and unleashed a wyvern blast at that close range.

BOOM!

The dude was thrown back through the air so fast that he looked like a bullet, he slammed into the ground so hard that the rocks cracked, he didn’t move after that, but he wasn’t dead.

After handling him, Aren looked back, seeing his shadow and friends locked in battle against the other awakened, they were dominating, so Aren had no issues. He turned his eyes back to the statue body that was connected to the mountain, the place he had to head.

He bolted in that direction, when a shadow suddenly formed over him, his shadow sense instantly picked up the enemy, it was what Lily had summoned.

Aren pulled back very fast, dodging the attack as the massive warrior landed on the ground, sword stabbing down.

Aren stared at it, it raised its head and looked at Aren before pulling its sword from the ground.

Shing

Its gaze was empty, yet Aren could feel its overwhelming presence pressing against him. He let out a chuckle. "They really did go all out in an attempt to kill me." Aren said casually, then looked at the summon.

"Do what you must, I’d like to get this over—"

Before Aren could finish that statement, the summon had vanished from sight, and moved so fast it was hard to track it.

The summon appeared right behind Aren, sword raised into the sky, the tension was tight, it looked like an execution about to happen.

Aren spun around as fast as he could, crossing his arms, and ensuring his guard was up.

CLANG!

Sparks flew in every direction, Aren was thrown back through the air, he flipped and landed on the ground, and just in time to evade the powerful thrust from the summon, the wind blasted forward like a rocket and slammed into a rock in the distance, shattering it completely as it sent debris everywhere.

Aren looked at the blade right there, he could see his reflection on it as the summon pulled it back while shifting forward for another attack.

"Tch, enough of this." Aren said in anger, placing his hands forward and using a wyvern blast at that close range.

BOOM

The summon was thrown back, a huge hole in its armor now, it stabbed its sword into the ground, wanting to get back up again, but Aren wasn’t having any of this now.

"Shadow Domain." Aren called out, and instantly his domain spread, covering him and the summon.

Instantly, tendrils latched onto each limb of the summon, and started pulling it apart. The summon tried to fight against it, but no matter how it pulled and struggled, it failed, and ultimately it was ripped apart inside the domain.

After that, Aren turned off his domain and calmly headed for the statue.

Lily had already made her way inside, so the issue now was stopping her from reaching that angel, and he was very sure it wouldn’t be an easy task.

He got to the statue and immediately he spotted something, a door that led in. Without hesitation, Aren walked in, and the first thing he saw was a staircase that led upward in a spiral.

There were crystals inside the statue which allowed him to see and keep walking without needing shadow sense. The more he walked, the heavier his heart got, he felt like he was walking into a place he shouldn’t have. The presence was the definition of evil, it was suppressive, and made it seem like he was being watched at every single moment.

’Tch, this place ain’t it at all, but what must be done must be done, I just hope Lily has not yet reached the angel.’

Finally, he made it to another door, and stepped through.

Instantly, he was standing inside a wide hollow part of the statue, it was completely massive and it led to a long drop downward.

There was only one stone bridge connecting to the center which was held up by a singular stone pillar.

At the edge was the fallen angel, her head was bowed, her crimson-colored hair flowed down like a waterfall of blood. Both her hands were spread apart and sealed with chains that were engraved, and fixed to two metal pillars beside her, low enough to ensure she is kneeling forever, and then a sword of material Aren had never seen before was driven in between her black angelic wings, the sword came through her front and stabbed the ground before her.

Lily stood before this angel, she paused, as if taking in the sight as well.

"Lily, step back." Aren yelled.

She stopped and then turned, her face twisted in shock the moment she saw who it was.

"You just don’t die or stop, do you?" she asked.

"Not when you are about to kill everyone here, if you dare touch that angel, it will trigger the Guardian, and if it comes, none of us will be able to make it alive." Aren tried to explain.

She looked at him like she was understanding, then she paused for a few seconds.

"Where is Ragna?" She asked.

’Shoot, I can’t tell her I killed him, got to lie for now.’

"I knocked him out, and then came after you." Aren said.

"Hahahahaha." She suddenly burst into laughter, one that confused Aren.

"Ragna and I were connected, the moment he died, I knew, I knew the moment you murdered him, you killed Ragna and when I asked you now, you lied.

I can never trust a liar like you." She said and walked to the angel.

"Lily NO!" Aren yelled.
