Star Gate-Chapter 1200: Taking Revenge Face-To-Face (I)
Chapter 1200: Taking Revenge Face-To-Face (I)
The heavenly will was a materialistic entity.
Now that there were changes to the heavenly dao and someone had emerged in front of the pack to swiftly progress to the Fused Dao stage, why would it not abandon the rest it’d previously favored?
This might be the first Saint of the new dao! The divine spirits only benefited from a strong personal dao meridian. Technically speaking, they weren’t cultivators of the new dao.
Clearly, the heavenly will was pragmatic to the point of being entirely cold-hearted. The Barren king to the north was likely finding the same development happening to him, that the heavenly will was quickly departing from him.
“Fused Dao...” murmured the Moon God. She set her jaw. “He’s ascended again... His rate of progress is so fast. Also, the world is more stable after he’s entered Fused Dao. It was much more fragile before, but now has recovered to its previous state. Is he not afraid of the implications of that?”
The world seemed to have stabilized alongside Li Hao’s advancement. And since a great deal of chaos had dispersed from Barren’s side, Li Hao... no longer seemed as apprehensive about the general state of affairs as before.
Choosing to break through was a sign of that. The young man was the ceiling of battle strength when it came to the new dao.
With this development, some of the antiques in the ruins could continue to send out replicas into the world. Those that were weaker than Li Hao, such as Immortals, could even walk out with their primary bodies.
Saints might still have a bit more trouble, but peak Immortal might be able to leave the ruins with their primary body.
Was Li Hao not restricting himself anymore? Why? Was he that confident of handling the Immortals?
Although the young man had killed Saints before... he’d needed to resort to a certain number of tricks when killing the Saints of Divine Nation.
The more the Moon God thought, the more complicated her expression became. Would she be able to avenge her fallen comrades after Li Hao set foot into Fused Dao? The key was that he controlled the dao universe. Meanwhile, divine spirits were still exploring the dao universe and hadn’t delved too deeply into it.
At present, Li Hao could kill them through the void once he found their dao stars!
......
On this day, nearly all cultivators of the new dao could sense that their cultivation seemed to be smoother than before. This was true even if they didn’t hear anything.
There was suddenly a much denser concentration of energy in the world, further facilitating cultivation efforts. The chaos had partially dispersed and energy dissipated when more Saints died.
All of it led to more people clearing acupoints. While they were unclear as to the reason behind this, they felt that it might have something to do with Commander Li moving the cities and preparing to unify the five continents. The young man was further aggrandized into myth and legend due to these new beliefs.
......
Silver City, in the firmament over it.
An ancient existence within the seal beneath the Star Gate suddenly opened his eyes.
“Has the world begun revitalizing again? This is good news!” he murmured. The world had started revitalizing before, but was interrupted halfway. Now, it began again.
More energy was released when the world awakened. That, in turn, weakened the seal. The second awakening might not fully shatter the seal, but the third awakening might.
The Red Dust exalted emperor smiled faintly, but his expression soon turned into a quizzical look. The Red Moon power within Silver Moon world seemed much fainter than before.
It looked like Li Hao really could eliminate Red Moon power. In that case, the young man could not be permitted to live!
......
The dao river of stars shook for a while within the Hao Cosmos. When Li Hao walked out of it, his presence was much stronger than before. His entire being seemed more ethereal and otherworldly. The young man’s thirty-six dao meridians had fully come together as a small sword. He had officially set foot into first level Fused Dao.
Each step of improvement within the Fused Dao realm could be subdivided into many more minor realms.
Li Hao didn’t care about any of that. Of the thirty-six dao meridians, he’d cleared quite a few acupoints in the last battle. A portion of them had closed automatically, but quite a few acupoints and dao meridians stayed open.
His next task was to search for the second minor circulation and its corresponding set of thirty-six dao meridians. This was his next cultivation target. Or, he could focus on the major circulation of 360 dao meridians and start on those acupoints.
However, the major circulation would take too much time and effort. It was better to complete the minor circulation first. He underwent a small metamorphosis for each minor circulation achieved. In this way, it was difficult to say which type of circulation was better.
One’s battle strength improved regardless, so it came down to one’s personal choice and how necessary the circulation was to one’s future.
For Li Hao, it might be more appropriate to focus on the minor circulations. It took 360 dao meridians for there to be an improvement with the major circulation, but each dao meridian in a minor circulation enhanced battle strength.
His eyes darted to certain areas as soon as he walked out. Capsize Sea and the redwood on the fringes seemed to be cultivating something. The young man considered them, his eyebrows raising.
When Capsize Sea sensed Li Hao’s presence, the golden cow opened its eyes and vanished on the spot. It reappeared in front of Li Hao with a smile. “The marquis has emerged from seclusion! Congratulations!”
“It’s just a small breakthrough.” Li Hao smiled back. He hadn’t truly set foot into Fused Dao from the Sun and Moon level. He’d already possessed the strength of Fused Dao before, so it hadn’t been a great improvement for him.
All the same, it was indeed the advance of a major cultivation stage.
“The Fused Dao level would make you a powerhouse in any age!” The cow continued to flatter, ignoring Li Hao’s humble stance. “Your Lordship, I see that there seems to be no one in charge of the body dao sector and no one primarily cultivating it. People tend to utilize it as a secondary attribute. How about I coalesce a dao star of the physical body and use it to stabilize this dao sector?”
“......” Li Hao’s eyebrow rose higher. He’d yet to mention this course of action, yet Capsize Sea was already volunteering its services. “That works, but the physical body is important to both monster spirits and humans. There is no urgent need for it at present, but in the future...”
“This old cow understands!” Capsize Sea nodded its large head. “I will not restrict others from cultivating body dao in the future! The great dao will be vast and unfettered with endless stars. This old cow is just making it my primary cultivation attribute, I will not monopolize it.”
Li Hao looked at it for a while before saying, “As you wish.”
Capsize Sea smiled and said nothing more. It was enough to obtain Li Hao’s approval. Everything else was a matter for the future. You can’t strip me of my right to cultivate, now can you? I can’t be penalized just because I was here early!
Meanwhile, Li Hao looked at the redwood in the distance. He was startled to find the tree studying... the chaos?
To be honest, chaos dao was one that he’d just come in contact with. It was very weak at present! Choosing any other sector as one’s main dao would be better than chaos dao. The redwood was... an interesting one.
Of course, it wasn’t that the chaos was weak. It was just that Li Hao didn’t focus on this dao, he focused on all of them in a general overview. Once he opened a dao meridian, he didn’t continue to focus on that meridian’s attribute. He opted to train a general overview of dao. But if there was a cultivator that focused on one dao in particular, they would see tremendous results all the same.
It was rather surprising that the redwood hadn’t chosen the wood or life attribute. As for the golden cow choosing the new dao... that part wasn’t surprising.
Li Hao said nothing, choosing to leave through the air and return to Battle Heaven. The army and powerhouses had returned to the city. The Ninth Division leader stepped forward with a storage ring as soon as the young man appeared.
“We collected only Zheng Hongyuan’s body and Immortal power. There were no other treasures to be gleaned. His Nine Segment Whip was shredded and he did not wear a storage ring. He might have left all of his treasures inside the Tranquil Star ruins...”
Li Hao nodded, that was very possible. It was just... these gains weren’t enough.
He looked at the void and asked, “When we killed Zheng Hongyuan, we did not fully exterminate him. Has his core origin dao fallen silent and disappeared?”
The group hadn’t possessed additional strength to dedicate to that task before; Li Hao had also found it difficult to manifest his opponent’s core origin dao. The question now lingered on his mind—the man had been dead for a while. Was his core origin dao still in the same place?
“When people die, their great dao lingers at the place of death,” said Li Daozong. “But... since that place was the Hao Cosmos, we’re uncertain if his core origin dao was expelled or if anything else happened.”
“Let’s give it a try.” Li Hao nodded. “We must fully eradicate someone like him and not leave any trouble behind for us!”
“I feel that... breaking his core origin dao now might arouse Red Dust—Zheng Yu’s—attention. He might only have his suspicions at the moment, but once we break Zheng Hongyuan’s dao, he is certain to know...”
Zheng Yu might not be certain who the one at Tranquil Star was—he might have some perception or sensation, but it wouldn’t be clear. Once the core origin dao was broken... The breaking of an Empyrean King’s dao, and one that belonged to his father, would absolutely reveal the truth to him.
“Are you worried about him losing his mind and forcing his way into the world?” Li Hao laughed. “That the Red Moon exalted emperor would then appear and the world would be thrown into chaos?
“Let him come!” the young man sneered. “He’ll be the first to die if he leaves the ruins! Red Dust... Zheng Yu! I want him to be enraged and crazed. If he chooses to walk into the world because of his father’s death, then I’ll watch him do it!”
Everything stemmed from this group of bastards. They were the reason why Yuan Shuo had died.
If it wasn’t for Zheng Yu plotting for the second awakening all this time, if he hadn’t organized the invasion of the four nations, if he hadn’t wanted to massacre the world so the awakening would occur ahead of time... why would Li Hao’s group needed to have attacked Boundless?
He didn’t hate anyone apart from Ying Hongyue. However, Zheng Yu’s group had risen at a sharp clip and even rivaled Ying Hongyue when it came to Li Hao’s distaste!
He didn’t actually hate the Red Moon exalted emperor all that much. The man was an enemy, an invader. It was a difference of perspective, so all Li Hao needed to do was to kill him. What need was there to hate the man?
But Zheng Yu, oh how Li Hao hated him with every fiber of his being!
I would think it’s a waste of killing your father if you can’t sense it. I want to make sure you can feel it!
