Chapter 1238: Wrestling on All Sides (III)

Barren Dynasty.

Li Hao watched raptly, glued to the screen. He rather regretted not being present. He should be watching this with his own eyes!

This world could only tolerate initial Saints, but this god could send a Saint flying with one punch... He was so strong! The young man had wildly underestimated this Initial Martial god!

“The Tyrant Fist!” Capsize Sea’s eyes darted around wildly. “But that’s impossible... It can’t be the Tyrant Sovereign... Can this person be the sovereign’s heir? But... the Tyrant Sovereign did not have any descendants or disciples... Can it be an heir of the Exalted Hard-Headed Emperor? But then why would they speak of Initial Martial...”

The Exalted Hard-Headed Emperor was of New Martial, not Initial Martial! What was going on here?

The monster spirit floundered for an explanation. Which Initial Martial heavyweight was this? They could trounce multiple divine spirit Saints simply after recovering Saint level strength! This guy was so strong!

“This is peak dao! He has reached the pinnacle of dao and is an ultimate heavyweight! His person’s battle strength is beyond belief and his physical body is stronger than mine. What a terrifying guy!” Li Hao considered the screen gravely. Were all gods of Initial Martial this formidable?

......

Galewind.

Zheng Yu was watching the proceedings as well. Li Hao’s blockade on them wasn’t that restrictive anymore, not since Saints were now able to emerge from the ruins. Although communications were still inoperative, Saints had many tricks up their sleeves.

The man’s expression shifted as he watched the fight. Who was this person? He knew that the god of Initial Martial existed, but it’d kept such a low profile that Zheng Yu knew nothing else. The god had stayed far away from the central continent, choosing to only build a small temple in the northern reaches.

This one had been asleep ever since one hundred thousand years ago... No, even longer than that. He was already inert when everyone arrived in Silver Moon. It was like the changes in the world were completely irrelevant to him!

He finally took action now, demonstrating the same level of Saint battle strength as the others, but accomplishing feats far beyond what was possible for that cultivation stage.

“Who is this person?” He looked at the powerhouses behind him. “Does anyone recognize him?”

There were many notable figures gathered, including representatives from the Zhous and Lius. However, everyone shook their heads.

“It might be the heir of the Capital Martial exalted emperor, but the facts don’t match up!” someone said gravely. “There would be no need to mention Initial Martial if it was that one’s heir! This person’s body is formidable and his blood qi so unparalleled that he really might be an Initial Martial heavyweight.”

Zheng Yu cursed to himself. Why was this happening?? This person had kept such a low profile that it was terrifying! And he’d chosen to take a stand now!

This was a level of strength that Zheng Yu himself could manage with a replica, but he was a half step emperor! This person looked to be at least an Empyrean King, and it was unknown if the one in the field was a replica or the primary body.

Damn it!

Zheng Yu shifted irritably. He’d felt the general situation growing increasingly out of hand lately. This was just a minor world in which the Sword Sovereign and nearly all of the powerhouses of the eight families had left. And yet, it continued to slip from his grasp.

Why?!

He’d thought that the Red Moon exalted emperor would be his greatest enemy after this awakening. The appearance of powerhouse after powerhouse instead was a very bitter pill to swallow.

......

As nauseated as Zheng Yu was by the development, the Divine Nation queen was even more so. She was continuously beaten back and forced into retreat. She was so despondent that she wanted to vomit blood!

Why was this happening?!

It was like anyone she’d met since losing to Li Hao could defeat her! Zheng Yu, Li Hao, Ying Hongyue, the Initial Martial god... they appeared one after another. She’d resurrected four Saints this time—counting her as well made for five Saints on the Divine Nation side.

But they were still being completely routed!

Her counterpart didn’t seem inclined to keep fighting.

“Retreat and withdraw your army,” the god ordered calmly. “Otherwise... you will die! Great Li desires half of Divine Nation’s territory...”

“Dream on!”

Bam!

The fist descended again, rupturing the world. The divine spirits were so badly defeated that the god of prophecy hastily yelled, “Retreat!”

They shot backward in a panic. Countless fissures cracked the void when the fist landed. The Initial Martial god permitted the divine spirits to withdraw and didn’t chase after them.

On the ground, the Great Li army whooped and hollered with immense spirits. The Great Li king’s eyes were wide—their god was so strong!

“CHARGE!” the king commanded without hesitation. He was the first one to dash forward, leading his army to cut down as many zealots as their weapons could find. Divine Nation territory was theirs!

As the Great Li army secured their victory and took ownership of their new expansion, a faint tendril of heavenly will drifted toward them. It seemed to intensify around the Great Li king.

The shadowy figure in the void looked up at the heavenly will, then down at the king before vanishing.

The Ninth Division leader and redwood had been in the process of approaching the god, wanting to greet it. The august personage was gone before they could do so. It was like the god had shown itself just to prove that it still existed and was very strong.

Therefore, stay away.

......

Barren wasteland.

Li Hao’s eyes shone brightly. How interesting. The Initial Martial god was dominatingly strong!

“Sea Pacification Envoy... how strong do you think this person is?”

“Very much so! It’s difficult to make out more details given the current restrictions of the world, but this person is certainly on par with me.”

Li Hao nodded slightly. This would be a difficult opponent to deal with. Great Li was quite interesting.

“Great Li... the li character corresponds to fire in the eight trigrams. Was there a fire god in Initial Martial?”

“Yes, but he died early on!” Capsize Sea rumbled. “He died a very, very long time ago. Does Your Lordship suspect that that was the fire god? That shouldn’t be the case...”

“Was Great Li always called Great Li?”

“I... I think so?” Capsize Sea answered uncertainty. “There were no other nations in the beginning, everything was part of New Martial. But... but... it did seem to be called Li... yes...”

“According to the eight trigrams, li should reside in the south. But Great Li is in the north... it looks like I’m just thinking too much.” Li Hao nodded to himself.

At the same time, the directions of the eight trigrams might not correspond to the current orientation of Silver Moon world. The actual directions might be the opposite of what they were understood to be.

In that case, Great Li being situated in the north... was logical.

Who was this person? Why had they remained unknown all this time? Why had they built a temple for themselves? Why didn’t they use their real name?

It wasn’t that they didn’t use their real name now, but that they hadn’t from the very beginning. It gave one the feeling of skulking in the shadows—or perhaps keeping a low profile to the extreme. You guys can have your fun elsewhere in the world, I’ll stay in Great Li.

How odd!

Capsize Sea couldn’t make sense of it either. It mused for a while before saying, “I’m not sure, but my lord doesn’t need to dwell on it. Just as they said, the cultivation system of Initial Martial trains the self. They may not have a desire to swallow the world!

“This might have been the Sword Sovereign’s mentality back in the day, when he abstained from swallowing the minor world. According to what the god said, the Sword Sovereign might walk the path of a myriad daos in a bid to trace the dao back to its origin. He may not be interested in devouring the minor world.

“This god of Initial Martial is no ordinary character to know even this!”

“No matter what, we need to keep an eye on this one!” Li Hao shook his head. This it wasn’t something that they needed to focus on at the moment. It was enough to know that such a character existed.

“No matter how they are, everything is good so long as they don’t create trouble for me!” Li Hao said rapidly. “It’s not me that should be worried, but the others!” He looked at Princess Jun. “Has the chaos presence been absorbed from everyone who left?”

“It has!” The princess nodded.

Li Hao looked at the white horse; it paced restlessly when it sensed the gaze. The young man didn’t say anything else before looking at Panther. “Are you ready, Panth?”

The dog nodded.

“Have Redwood come back. Doesn’t it cultivate chaos qi? Its roots can be used to stabilize the new world! This is an opportunity for it as well...”

“Is my lord not going to choose Imperial Guard for this?” Capsize Sea couldn’t help but ask. This opportunity might be more appropriately awarded to the imperial guard.

“Everyone should be placed in a position suited for their talents and everything made the best use of! A fake world isn’t a real one, we won’t be creating life forms in it. We’re just stealing a corner of Silver Moon world. The imperial guard walks the path of life and isn’t needed to create life here.

“There’s no point in summoning it!” Li Hao smiled. “If I have the strength to create a new world in the chaos one day, that is when I can send for the imperial guard. That is when we truly craft a new world and create life!

“Today, we are just cordoning off a small section of Silver Moon territory. I say that I’m creating a new world, but I’m honestly just swapping something fake for what is real and increasing my own value.”

Capsize Sea couldn’t help but laugh. That was true enough, but Li Hao was likely the only person who dared say so with such candor. Even substituting a fake for the genuine was not achievable by ordinary people.

“If Your Lordship does walk out of Silver Moon world one day... I think creating a new world would be easily within your abilities.”

“Let us look forward to that day! I’ve yet to plumb all of the secrets of our world first,” Li Hao laughed. “Let’s ignore them for now, I’m going to start my preparations! Also, something unusual might occur during this process. I’m not afraid of anyone else, just that there might be someone who disagrees with me stealing part of the world!”

“We will stand guard for my lord!” Capsize Sea immediately offered.

“No... that’s fine.” Li Hao shook his head. “It’ll be more conspicuous if you guys gather here. You just need to do one thing for me! We have Boundless, Battle Heaven, Martial Alliance, and Steadfast Sky. I need four Saints to be in residence at each of the cities and disturb the heavenly will!

“Battle Heaven will come back to the world as well. Each mobilization of a city is exceedingly troublesome. General Pagoda will be in charge at Battle Heaven, Martial Alliance will have its old guardian spirit in place, you will be in charge of Boundless, and the Ninth Division leader can go to Steadfast Sky!”

Li Hao didn’t have many Saints on his side yet.
