Chapter 1588: We Are Not the Same (II)

Celestial Pole’s replica was immensely resigned by the situation. His primary body didn’t trust him. I already told you that Hong Yitang isn’t the Silver Moon king. What a pity... Well, I guess it’s only to be expected. Who would believe that the master of dao isn’t the king?

I didn’t believe it myself before.

Since I don’t believe it, of course my primary body doesn’t believe it.

Forget it. Our memories won’t sync if he won’t absorb me. There’s no helping it. We’ll have to meet up with Li Hao first. Since Lin Hongyu’s given the word, that means Li Hao and the rest are nearby.

The Pagoda King had just turned around when something registered on his senses. Celestial Pole’s primary body also raised an eyebrow and quickly looked outside. Someone new had appeared there.

Celestial Pole’s primary body paled. A mid rank! Where had they come from? Trouble was upon them!

The seventh rank was right behind them. If they were stopped, they were in great trouble even though they might actually win the fight. There were so many exalted emperors on the ship against one mid rank, which made their chances of victory high.

“Your Lordship!”

“Li Hao!”

“The Exalted Hao Moon Emperor!”

“......” Everyone in the Silver Moon group called out to the newcomer. Li Hao didn’t say a word. Gan Wuliang and Panther materialized instead and darted into the ship.

Celestial Pole raised his eyebrows. Another two second ranks. Silver Moon had quite a few of them. And who... was this?

He looked at Gan Wuliang again—and who was that as well? Why did he bear the same presence as the fifty or sixty year old guy?

What was going on here? A master of dao?

Why were there two masters of dao?

Li Hao looked at the two from New Martial. He was very familiar with Celestial Pole since the primary body and replica were the same. The young man inclined his head at Celestial Pole, then looked at the Pagoda King.

So this is the Pagoda King? The infamous one?

The Pagoda King was looking back at him with a bit of a smile. In fact, it seemed a bit... ingratiating...

This is a mid rank, after all.

Li Hao paid him no heed and hovered over the warship. He looked into the distance and grabbed at the void, retrieving a tendril of intermixed sword intent and Red Moon power. Blood scored his fingers from the motion.

The young man arched a brow at the sight of blood. So strong!

“Fly toward Red Moon major world!” he ordered. “Go to the surrounding worlds to find shelter in them!”

The Pagoda King blinked. This had been their original plan.

“Your presences of core origin are too strong.” Li Hao frowned at the two. “It’s hard to conceal them. Take cover in the dao river for now! Gan Wuliang, you and Martial Uncle Hong will integrate the two daos and jointly pilot the ship.”

The Pagoda King blinked and looked at the young man.

“Their integrated efforts are on par with a third rank, they’ll be fast enough!” Li Hao explained. “You guys should hide for now. Core origin has a very dense presence that Red Moon is very familiar with. You’re very conspicuous!”

The Pagoda King quickly retracted his presence. An immense surge of strength materialized when the two masters of dao became one. They were both second ranks, which really did make them rival a third rank when they integrated with each other.

The two quickly took over the Pagoda King’s position and steered the ship toward Red Moon.

The young man waved his domain into place, enveloping the ship. A river circled the ship in the next instant as well. Li Hao also activated the method of hiding.

The warship seemed to vanish from the chaos in the blink of an eye, leaving Celestial Pole and the Pagoda King astonished.

This person... was a fourth rank and had a plethora of tricks up his sleeves. He wasn’t a master of dao, but possessed a river of dao and a dao domain. Was this the Silver Moon king?

The New Martial duo did not converse, but they understood now that Celestial Pole’s replica had not lied. The two that they’d seen before were not the Silver Moon king. This one was!

The Silver Moon king was a fourth rank!

It was an unexpected find. In their imagination, the Silver Moon king would have only reached third rank. He was the king who’d emerged from Silver Moon, after all. And yet, fourth rank was a bit too fast.

“The opponent is a seventh rank and the Sword Sovereign is only a sixth rank. It looks like he can put up a fight, but just barely. He’ll lose as the fight drags on!” said Li Hao. “Is the supreme’s replica not with you guys?”

“He was, but we threw him away,” the Pagoda King quickly responded. “It’s not too strong, which means that the supreme might be busy elsewhere and withdrew a portion of his strength. He didn’t send most of it to his replica—it’s just a fifth rank. It’s in the range of battle and might be looking for an opportunity to help the Sword Sovereign retreat if he loses.”

He spoke of everything he knew, including where the supreme’s replica was.

Seventh rank!

The Sword Sovereign was ninety-nine percent unlikely to kill his opponent. He’d only be able to run away.

Li Hao took quick stock of himself. He was unable to fight a seventh rank as well. That was without question!

But once the Sword Sovereign was defeated... that would be immensely troublesome as well. The seventh rank was sure to pursue them—either the Sword Sovereign or the ship. If he couldn’t catch up to the Sword Sovereign, then it would be the ship that was in for it then.

With that, Li Hao consumed some energy and summoned a brand within his river. “Are you busy?”

“Watching a show! Fog Mountain won’t open the world gate and is facing off against some seventh ranks. It looks like they might be fighting soon,” Void responded.

“The dao chess can transport people out of the chaos, which means it can also transport you to me! Are you sixth rank yet?”

“I am!”

“You have resources for the transportation, right? The Sword Sovereign is taking on a Red Moon seventh rank right now. Are you interested in joining the fight?”

“......”

......

Skyward.

Void stared off into space, not knowing what to say. The hell?? The guy’s crazy, isn’t he? Does he know what he’s saying?! The Sword Sovereign is fighting, so you want me to head over there too and take down a seventh rank together??

“Use the world of emptiness to hide the commotion, then use your power of revitalization to help the Sword Sovereign recover. He’s a sixth rank, which means you can do it! I’ll... be involved in the action as well. This is a rare opportunity!”

“Are we really going to take this risk?” Void gaped. He’d wanted to get involved in the Skyward action. But judging from Li Hao’s words, there were too many high ranks at Skyward. They were all having fun there, which made it boring for lower ranks like them. They could go to Red Moon for some fun instead!

“Isn’t it nice to bet big? If we kill the seventh rank, we can have fun around Red Moon. There’s a lot of major, mid, and minor worlds there are all my enemies. We can break them anytime. They can all be silenced.

“Red Moon is the playground for the dao of silence. Since Skyward’s dao universe can’t be opened, what are you waiting there for?”

“Um... alright! Then I’ll let Fog Mountain know to open the door and start fighting. That will cover the disturbance from dao chess and I should be able to transport over. I can get an advance on my rewards, it’s just that...” Void thought for a moment before rapidly transmitting, “I know you, but can you promise that New Martial won’t betray me?”

He wasn’t afraid of a little action. If he was, he wouldn’t have rushed his way into sixth rank. He trusted that Li Hao wouldn’t betray him; the only concern was that there was no low that New Martial wouldn’t stoop to in an effort to drag Light into the conflict. If they exposed his identity, that would create trouble for his world.

Void didn’t care when the only one at risk was himself. It was a different story when his world and family might be implicated.

“I’ll personally guarantee that!” Li Hao offered after a three second silence. “If New Martial betrays you... you’re here because of me. That would mean they’ve betrayed me too. Then there is no longer anything between me and New Martial.

“If Light is dragged into things because of this, then kill me for it first. Of course, my life may not be worth the tradeoff, but that’s what I can offer.”

“That will do. I trust you!” Void said nothing else. He wasn’t familiar with New Martial, but he was with Li Hao. Since the young man was guaranteeing his safety, he and Li Hao would hunt down New Martial powerhouses together if New Martial outed him.

The thought flashed through his mind before he turned to the Exalted Flare Sun Emperor next to him. Fog Mountain had let this one in; he was only blocking those from Red Moon. According to Fog Mountain’s words, this was a Skyward Region matter. Those from Red Moon Region should piss off outta here!

“Uncle Flare Sun, do you have any more Origin of Light?”

“What?”

“Lend me one!”

Flare Sun looked at the crown prince. This was a very expensive item, but with limited effect for him. As a high rank, he was qualified to receive one—and he did have one.

It was easy to imagine how precious an item that could instantly recover a fifth or sixth rank’s strength might be. But since Void wanted to borrow it, there was nothing else that needed to be said.

“Here you go!” He brought out something that looked like a crystal ball.

“Uncle Flare Sun, this place is boring, I’m going back!” Void accepted the item and ran off, leaving Flare Sun blinking after him.

Boring? Going back? This is boring? Several seventh ranks are about to fight each other, you call that boring?

You say you’re going back... back where?

That’s weird.

Flare Sun sensed something the next second and his eyes widened. Where are you going? Why are you rushing toward Fog Mountain? Aren’t you afraid of dying??

Granted, Fog Mountain wouldn’t kill the Light crown prince for no reason, but... this was so very dangerous!
