Star Ship Girl Era: My Shipgirls Are Too Overpowered-Chapter 55: Lead The Way
Katsura spoke her first words of the meeting.
"How did the mission conclude?"
Aurelian turned to her, aware that the soft lighting of the restaurant enhanced her porcelain skin and the natural gleam of her long black hair.
"With the command unit destroyed and their coordination disrupted, the remaining smaller Omnic units retreated in a disorganized manner, and we secured the perimeter for the transport’s safe arrival at the destination port before returning to Polaris for debriefing, which led me to meet the requirement for my promotion, then the awakening of my new shipgirl."
That last piece of information immediately caught all their attention.
"So it really happened," Mirei said softly.
"You have another shipgirl now?" Yelena asked.
Katsura leaned forward slightly, her crimson-brown eyes showing a rare curiosity.
"Yes," Aurelian confirmed. "Her designation is Rhoswen, commanding a ship called Crimson Bulwark. She is focused on defense and serves as a complement to Astra’s firepower, which is good for fleet balance because it gives us protection capabilities while preserving offensive reach."
Mirei’s expression softened with understanding and acceptance.
"I am excited about meeting her properly," she said as her fingers traced slow patterns on Aurelian’s thigh. "It must be a heavy responsibility, having two lives depending on you."
Aurelian looked at each sister in turn as Mirei rested her head against his shoulder and Katsura watched with quiet intensity while Yelena considered the strategic implications of another shield-class shipgirl joining the equation.
It was Yelena who broke the silence next, her analytical nature kicking in with typical focus.
"A shield-class shipgirl will significantly increase your fleet’s survivability during extended missions, especially against Omnic forces that tend to swarm quickly," she observed, then looked into Aurelian’s eyes directly as her silver-black hair caught the dim lights, creating a silver outline that made her look like something out of an old painting. "I am sure your family has also taken note of your recent growth."
"They have been informed," Aurelian replied simply. "They offered support if needed, but they understand that my development needs to happen through real experience, not just family protection."
"We are here too," Mirei added quietly as she leaned more heavily against his arm, her soft breasts pressing against him through the fabric of their clothes. "Whatever happens with your fleet and your command structure, we are part of that foundation now." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Aurelian felt their commitment, these three women who understood that building power in this world meant taking real risks and making solid commitments, not just talking about ambition in theoretical terms.
"My fleet structure will become more complex as it grows," he said. "More bonds, more variables, more logistics, but with the right coordination, complexity becomes strength instead of a weakness."
Yelena considered this statement carefully, then nodded in agreement.
"Complex systems are stable if the foundational relationships are strong," she said, showing why she was often the strategic voice among the three. "What is your next step as a Tier II commander?"
That question pulled them all back to practical thinking.
"I am focusing on integration for now," Aurelian explained calmly. "Rhoswen needs to develop familiarity with Astra and the command protocols, while I optimize the fleet coordination patterns to maximize the defensive capabilities that Rhoswen brings without reducing Astra’s offensive efficiency, so it is a balancing process."
Mirei’s thumb stroked his thigh slowly as she considered what he was saying.
"How long will that take?" she asked.
"There is no fixed schedule," Aurelian replied honestly. "Some commanders prefer swift deployment with gradual integration. I prefer solid foundations before risking either of them in extended operations."
Katsura absorbed this information as if filing it away for later consideration, her posture remaining elegant yet approachable, even amid the restaurant’s quiet intensity.
"You will be stronger for it," she said in her quiet yet certain way, as if stating an undeniable truth.
A server approached their table quietly.
"I’m sorry to interrupt," the server said respectfully. "The restaurant is about to close soon, but if you would like to order anything else, I can place it for you."
Mirei looked at Aurelian with a questioning gaze, while Yelena straightened and realized that hours had passed while they were deep in conversation, and Katsura simply acknowledged the statement with a small nod to the server.
"Do you need to go somewhere immediately after this?" Yelena asked Aurelian calmly.
"Not urgently," he replied. "The integration schedule continues whether I monitor it personally or not. Proper planning requires rest, too."
The triplets exchanged looks as if reaching a silent agreement, each understanding without saying anything what the others were thinking.
"In that case," Mirei said with a small smile as she pressed even closer to him, her breath warming the side of his neck, "we have a private place nearby, quiet and comfortable, where we could... continue discussing fleet strategy and development plans."
That invitation hung between them, unspoken implications filling the space between words as Yelena’s analytical expression softened slightly and Katsura’s eyes fixed on Aurelian as if waiting for a response.
Aurelian considered for a moment, weighing the practical benefits of returning to monitor Rhoswen’s integration against the emotional and relational benefits of spending this intimate evening with the triplets, and he found the decision simpler than he expected.
"Lead the way," he said calmly.
The private place Mirei mentioned turned out to be a spacious, modern apartment owned by the Morozova family in one of Polaris’s secure districts, designed for comfort and privacy rather than ostentatious display, with minimal decor and high-quality materials that absorb sound, creating an atmosphere of peacefulness and making you feel like you are lifting off all the stress as you enter.
