Stolen By My Billionaire Brother-In-Law-Chapter 77: Dug His Own Grave
"What?" Both Tommy and the guy in the backseat frowned at Rafaelo’s wish, their faces pale with shock.
"You all hate him anyway. Let’s finish him," Rafaelo said, taking out a beer can and drinking it, his eyes gleaming with a sinister light.
"Are you out of your mind?" Tommy shrieked at him, snatching away the can. "We can’t do that!"
Rafaelo looked at Xander and continued, "If he gets out alive, Rivana would be proven innocent. But if we kill him, I can torture her using it." He murmured, "That stubborn kitten will whimper and squirm every time she recalls it." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
"Damn it," Rafaelo chuckled like a maniac, recalling Rivana bending to his orders. With a snicker, he added, "She’s gonna obey all my orders like a puppet."
"That’s a bad idea..." Tommy murmured, shaking his head, his voice filled with dread.
"Fine," Rafaelo nodded. "Get out of here. But your dad will see your videos of sniffing drugs like a loser." Turning behind, he looked at Nathan and added, "Yours too, Nat."
Tommy glared at the cunning fox, his fists clenched in frustration. He knew they were trapped. "What should we do now?" he asked, his voice resigned.
Rafaelo quickly briefed them on the plan. Tommy got out of the car while Nathan dragged Xander out. As per his orders, they laid him on the muddy road, his body limp and lifeless.
Rafaelo snickered as they finished their task, his hands clutching the steering wheel. Tommy and Nathan looked around, their expressions a mix of worry and caution. There weren’t even street lights or CCTV on this abandoned road, but they still couldn’t stop trembling anxiously.
Rafaelo revved the engine, the sound echoing through the night. He breathed out of his mouth, a twisted smile forming on his lips. With a sudden burst of speed, he rushed the car over the road, the tires screeching as they hit the gravel. Blood splattered on the windshield, and he stopped the car.
Tommy and Nathan stumbled back, horrified as Rafaelo mercilessly drove back over Xander’s body again. He stopped the car and got out, the thrill still running through his body. Squatting beside Xander’s body, he bent down to check if he was still alive.
"He is dead!" Rafaelo happily declared, laughing out loud like a madman. His friends exchanged weary glances, now afraid of him as he was acting as if he had run over a plastic body, which shrieked them even more. Drugs sure had psyched up his mind.
"It’s gonna be so much fun, little sister," Rafaelo murmured, his voice filled with sadistic pleasure.
[End Of FlashBack]
"And then we put his body in the car. We crashed it into a tree, put the front part on fire, and covered it up like an accident." Rafaelo on the screen finished reminiscing his crime. The girls beside him started praising his wickedness, and he picked up the drinks, enjoying it without a clue that it was all a trap.
Dead silence filled the room as the video ended with his friends making him drink a lot more. They were asked to make sure he was here all night and be as good as dead if they loved their lives. Callum heard from his men that they had desperately given their best, prompting them to release those rats from their trap.
Rivana sat there, feeling cold and numb. The revelation hit her like a thunderstorm, hurting her even more than before. She had been bullied, harassed, and mentally tortured for a sin she didn’t commit. The weight of it all crushed her spirit, and she felt more disappointed in herself than angry at Rafaelo, for being manipulated so easily.
Leonora was the first to react among everyone. She glared at Rafaelo and barged toward him. "You disgusting piece of trash!" Leonora grabbed him by his hair, tugging it with both of her hands.
"Oh goodness!" Callum couldn’t help but express at the scene. Leonora pulled and rolled Rafaelo’s head, making the guy whine in pain. He was partly amused by her strength.
"How dare you hurt my poor Anna?!" Leonora shouted, her rageful voice filling the meeting room. "You’ve tortured Rivana for years because of it. Now I will show you a taste of your sick games!"
"Leave me!" Rafaelo grumbled but was silenced by a harsh kick in the stomach. "Ow!" He stumbled back, clutching his abdomen tightly.
"You think you can get away with this? You think you can just manipulate and hurt people without any consequences?" Leonora’s voice was shaking with anger. She grabbed his hair again, pulling his head back to look him in the eyes. "You’re nothing but a coward and a bully, you jerk! I will tear you apart today!"
Callum worriedly glanced at Azrael. At his nod, he hurried to stop the angry bird, pulling her back. "Calm down!" he urged, trying to hold her back. "We need to handle this the right way."
"Right way? Breaking all his bones is the only way!" Leonora retorted, trying to free herself from Callum’s hold.
Leonora was so angry that she didn’t realize how close they were. She kept lunging toward Rafaelo, who was trying to hide behind his assistant. Callum sighed and quickly wrapped his hand around her waist, lifting her and swirling her around.
"Calm down! Let Rivana speak." Callum urged her, putting her on the ground. Leonora hissed, controlling herself. Callum was still standing in front of her, his tall body blocking her, but she didn’t stop glaring at Rafaelo, her eyes blazing with fury.
Rafaelo looked at Rivana and Azrael, his face pale and his eyes wide with fear. His body trembled, and sweat began to bead on his forehead. His confidence shattered completely, and he was desperate to flee. But even if he did, Azrael had the power and connections to get him back from any corner of the world. Rafaelo had understood it by now, considering how easily they were able to make him spew the truth he had hidden for almost a decade.
Just then Azrael’s phone rang, bringing everyone out of their thoughts. He took his phone, a sly smile playing on his lips. "Oh, it’s Minister Bason," he chimed, showing the caller ID to Rafaelo.
Rafaelo’s eyes widened, his face draining of color. He gulped and was about to snatch away the phone when Azrael picked it up.
"Hello," Azrael answered and put it on speaker.
A middle-aged man’s voice chirped from the other end. "I am sorry, Mr. Dynar. We were in a meeting and my assistant cut your call."
Even Leonora was surprised at the way the minister was talking to Azrael. It confirmed the control this young man had over the city, even though it had only been a few weeks since he arrived. The government must have been pleased to hear that Dynar Automobiles was eager to start a branch there.
"It’s fine, Mr. Bason," Azrael replied in a calm voice. He glanced at Rafaelo, and his tone turned menacing as he continued, "My team found a very interesting video related to you. I called you wondering if you were interested in seeing it."
"Video?" Minister Bason’s voice from the other end piqued everyone’s curiosity.
"Yes," Azrael replied calmly, placing his hand in his pocket. "It’s related to your son."
Rafaelo was the first to respond. He took a step forward and clasped his hands. "No! Please!" he begged. If his confession video got out, he would be murdered on the spot. Bason loved Xander dearly, which he had conveyed through many of his welfare activities.
"No, please! I’ll do anything! Just don’t reveal this," he continued, his voice trembling.
Azrael’s eyes narrowed as he looked down at Rafaelo. With a swift motion, he turned Rivana’s chair so that Rafaelo stood directly in front of her. He took his own few moments, letting the tension build before making his demand. "You know what to do," he said, his voice firm and unyielding.
Rafaelo looked at Azrael, his eyes then falling on Rivana in the chair. Clutching his hands into fists, he lowered his head, still contemplating as the leftover pieces of his ego argued to hold on.
"Sorry, Mr. Bason. I was dealing with a bug," Azrael spoke on the phone. "So, are you interested in seeing it?"
Just as he finished, Rafaelo’s knees hit the floor. His pride and arrogance had been shattered, and now he knelt before Rivana, his head bowed in shame. The humiliation was almost too much to bear, but he knew he had no other choice.
Rafaelo’s voice trembled as he looked up at Rivana, his eyes filled with desperation. "I’m sorry, Rivana. I’m truly sorry," he mumbled, his voice breaking. "I never should have done those things to you. Please, forgive me."
Rivana remained silent, her eyes locked on Rafaelo’s. She had heard apologies from him before, but this time felt different. Relief washed over her, but she also felt guilt for always putting herself down in front of him in the past.
Leonora and Callum watched the scene with utmost satisfaction. Though revenge was better served cold, there was something deeply thrilling about seeing the villains do their graves with a stupid loophole. And Rafaelo was just the case.
"Seems like you are busy. We will talk another time," Azrael ended the call, leaving the minister on the other end in confusion.
Rafaelo sighed in relief. He quickly got up, even though Rivana hadn’t responded yet. He looked at Azrael and murmured, "Thank you." Glancing at Rivana, he added, "I will not get in her way from today."
Azrael nodded but his eyes glinted sinisterly. Just as Rafaelo turned around to leave, covered in shame from head to toe, he spoke again, "Oops. I accidentally hit the send button."
