Stranger Danger-Chapter 1187: Blue Demon
Chapter 1187: Blue Demon
“Out.”
A loud boom occurred just as the trio got closer to Ye Qing and Zhao Changming. Then, a person flew straight toward them.
Caught completely off guard, two of them failed to dodge out of the way in time and slammed into the person directly. They exploded like waterskins and died in an instant; their flesh and blood fell like rain, and their minds extinguished.
The instant the two warriors died, a fist emerged from the dust clouds and struck Stonesea’s staff head on. The descending staff forged using refined steel that were tempered over a hundred times and weighed over five hundred kilograms broke at the center just like that. Then, the fist continued forward and hit Stonesea squarely on the chest.
A series of teeth-numbing crunches followed, and Stonesea’s chest caved inward. He flew backward for a bit before smashing into the ground, hard. The dust clouds he kicked up were so thick that it was impossible to say if he lived or died immediately.
The fist didn’t withdraw even though it had sent Stonesea flying in one punch. Instead, he thrust forward another three inches.
A world could exist within a span of inches. Divine power could be born from nothing.
The five swords shooting toward Ye Qing in the sky abruptly slowed to a crawl as if they were wading through thick mud. Then, another hand reached out from the dust clouds and made a tugging motion at the gleeful storm in the sky.
The next moment, the poem of wind and rain Not Nonsense had used all of his strength to manifest was ripped into pieces like worthless cloth, useless and frail.
The assault wasn’t over, however. The relaxing flute music abruptly grew high-pitched and rapid, and a bright moon emerged from the center of the river. The moon caused the peaceful river waters to rise without warning and form a massive tidal wave.
It took only the blink of an eye for the tidal wave to reach the height of three hundred meters.
Oooooo...
The high-pitched, rapid flute sound abruptly took a downward spiral, and the tidal wave collapsed toward Ye Qing.
Not only that, the clear waters of the river grew murkier and darker as it poured downward. The cries and wails of infinite ghosts were coming from the depths of the river as well, mind-bending and soul-stealing.
It was as if the Yellow Spring was descending from above.
“It’s the Demonic Call of Yellow Spring! It’s the Ink Flute Gentleman’s Demonic Call of Yellow Spring!”
“Run!”
Inside the Myriad Buddha Town, the surviving jianghu warriors stared at the gigantic tidal wave of filth and demonic noises in shock for a moment before scattering in every direction like rabbits.
Unfortunately for them, it was already too late. They barely took a few steps before their eyes grew unfocused, and their consciousness fled away.
As the tainted waters grew closer, their bodies began decaying and rotting like corpses as well.

“Demonic Call of Yellow Spring, is it? An art that transforms sound into the Yellow Spring. Interesting!”
Ye Qing mused while slowly walking out of the dust clouds. As he walked, his right fist shook a little, and his left hand swept the air in front of him. The next moment, the five swords in the sky crumbled inch by inch, and the sky of wind and rain disappeared into nothing.
“Argh!”
Both Skyview and Not Nonsense cried out in pain after their arts were dismantled, and their minds took considerable damage. They did not hesitate to turn tail and run away.
Ye Qing ignored them. His mind was focused on the descending Yellow Spring above him. Slowly, he raised his hands and pushed upward.
If before he was pushing over the Kunlun Mountains, now he was lifting the heavens with his bare hands.
Buzz!
Invisible force spread across the air as he pushed. Yin and yang switched places, and the descending Yellow Spring began rolling upward as if time was reversing.
“You can have it back.”
“Shit!”
Ink Flute blanched when he realized what was about to happen. Blood was trickling down his lips, but he did not hesitate to dash toward the distance at top speed.
The second he escaped, Yellow Spring crashed right on top of where he was and annihilated countless buildings.
Ink Flute managed to escape death, but the others weren’t nearly as lucky. All seventy-two Snow Dragon Guards and the three guest warriors were killed by the Yellow Spring.
Far away, Ink Flute looked as shocked as he was pale. The Yellow Spring created by his Demonic Call of Yellow Spring wasn’t the real thing, of course. It was just a manifestation of it using his astral qi and spirit and so contained only a few slivers of the Yellow Spring’s true power. Despite this, his enemy had still reflected the technique in its entirety. This was scarier than if Ye Qing had blocked or neutralized his technique instead.
This was the moment Ink Flute lost all will to fight. Right now, fear and only fear possessed his entire being.
“You deserve death. I’m going to kill you!”
A rubble dozens of meters away from Ye Qing suddenly exploded, throwing limestones and soil into the air before they dissolved into fine powder. Then, a silhouette about ten meters tall stepped out of the dust clouds.
The silhouette was of course Zhao Changming, though he was bluish green in color and ten meters tall right now. He had taken the full form of his Bronze Demon Body and was overflowing with terrifying aura.
“Bronze Demon Body”
That wasn’t all. The massive bronze carriage that Zhao Changming had ridden to this place suddenly split into many pieces and formed a suit of bronze armor around the marquis. It made his aura even stronger than before.
Zhao Changming was currently wearing a round bronze helmet with a dragon and a serpent circling around it. The carvings looked so real they could be alive. The bronze mask covering his way was adorned with demonic patterns, and the eyeholes were vertical slits resembling the eyes of a dragon or serpent. It inflicted fear upon his enemies even before the battle had begun.
The armor itself was covered in countless entangling dragons and serpents, forming what looked like a set of demonic, anomalous patterns and giving Zhao Changming the appearance of a supreme being or a Stranger. Protruding away from the armor were hissing serpent heads and squirming draconic claws that glinted coldly and savagely in the dark.
The back of the armor was a spread fan that resembled the spread tail of a peacock, but instead of feathers, it was a spread of saber, spear, sword, halberd, hatchet, axe, hook, and fork. A violent, evil, and intimidating aura washed out of them and seemingly warped the surrounding space. It was as if the armor’s power was too much for the world to bear.
Bang!
Clad in bronze armor, Zhao Changming began walking toward Ye Qing. Every time he took a step, the ground would explode and form a massive hole.
“A Disaster-class Strange Artifact?”
Ye Qing hadn’t expected the bronze carriage to be a Strange Artifact, much less a Disaster-class Strange Artifact. In fact, his senses told him that the Disaster-class Strange Artifact was close to becoming an Ancient-class Strange Artifact; a human Half-Sage.
Even scarier, Zhao Changming’s aura had reached the level of a true Half-Sage.
“Is this your trump card?”
Ye Qing asked curiously as Zhao Changming approached him.
“That’s right.”
A low, tyrannical voice came from behind the mask. “Be proud. Not everyone has the honor of dying to my Blue Demon.”
“Blue Demon? Huh. Wasn’t expecting the famous Blue Demon to be in your hands,” Ye Qing exclaimed with a hint of surprise.
A Disaster-class Strange Artifact, Blue Demon was ranked fiftieth on the Strange Artifact Register. It was worth noting that most of the fifty-first to one hundredth Strange Artifacts on the Strange Artifact Register were Disaster-class, whereas the ones between the first and the forty-ninth were Ancient-class.
Blue Demon was smack dab at the center of the list; the Strange Artifact that split the two categories apart. In other words, it was a Disaster-class Strange Artifact, but it was infinitely close to Ancient-class. Naturally, it was quite powerful.
In fact, Blue Demon was originally an Ancient-class Strange Artifact. Legend had it that the legendary strange craftsman from a thousand years ago, Mrs. Xu had created it using the Ancient-class Stranger, the Bronze Dragon Serpent, as the main material, and the Chi You Demonic Bronze as the supplementary material. The forging process had taken a total of thirty three years. When it was finally complete, the sky changed, and dragons and serpents appeared from every direction. For a time, the entire sky was filled with the blue bodies of dragons and serpents. Hence, Mrs. Xu decided to name the Ancient-class Strange Artifact “Blue Demon”.
