Stranger Danger-Chapter 1820: Blue Hole of Primal Chaos
The pillar of light was unbelievably thick. It looked like it was the divine pillar that held up the world itself. It forcefully ripped apart the dark, twisted sky and illuminated the lightless Primal Chaos Ocean in an instant.
Before the group could recover from their shock, a second pillar, a third pillar, a fourth... more and more pillars burst out from various places of the Primal Chaos Ocean, connecting heaven and earth.
In just the blink of an eye, an unknown amount of dark yellow pillars of light were standing between the sky and the ocean and painted the entire dead zone in noble and sacred dark yellow light.
The pillars of light were absolutely pure. They were the same color as the Earthly Sovereign Bell’s light!
Wherever the light traveled, chaotic energies were instantly brought to order, distorted lights and shadows were forcefully corrected, and a thick, heavy, and vast aura encompassed and suppressed everything.
At the same time, as if excited by the sight before it, the Earthly Sovereign Bell’s chimes abruptly grew unbelievably loud and strong!
The bell swayed violently, and the pictures on its wall shone dazzlingly as if they were coming to life. Countless profound runes were circulating and manifesting the images of a vast, unbounded land.
The descending curtains of dark yellow grew thicker and thicker before resonating with the distant pillars of light. They mingled with each other and shone in tandem!
For a time, the forbidden zone of chaos became as bright as daytime and as dazzling as the sun’s surface!
Shone by the unparalleled dark yellow light, the elements that were ravaging the Primal Chaos Ocean—the wind, the rain, the thunder, the lightning, the ice, the snow, and the everpresent dark energies of Primal Chaos—were swiftly dispelled, purified, and annihilated like snow under a blazing sun.
For a time, the only color that made up the world was pure, grandiose dark yellow.
When the dark yellow light had reached peak intensity and filled up the entire sky so much that it looked like a tangible object, they froze for a brief second before crashing down toward the earth. They transformed into a vast, golden waterfall that defied description and crashed down into the boiling sea with unparalleled power that felt like it could suppress all of space and time!
RUUUMMMMBBBLLLLLEEEEE—
The moment the column of light struck the sea surface, it was as if the entire Primal Chaos Ocean was being stirred by a giant, invisible hand. The sea water began spinning at a crazy rate until it formed a terrifying vortex that spanned an entire sea region.
The faster the vortex spun, the deeper the hole became, and the louder the roars became. It felt as if the vortex would devour all of heaven and earth.
Every drop of sea water and the remnant energies of chaos were mercilessly dragged into the giant vortex and consumed. They were all pulled into that point at the center of the vortex.
Finally, the light faded, and the sea water disappeared.
All that was left behind was a massive, bottomless, and pitch black hole.
The black hole just floated there silently while remnant light, shadow and vapor spun around its edges. The center of the black hole was pure, infinite black that seemed to be connected to another dimension that was full of unknown mysteries and horror.
At the same time, an old and intimidating aura slowly rose from the depths of the black hole.
“Is... Is this the legendary Blue Hole of Primal Chaos?”
Xiahou Zun looked at the gigantic, still spinning vortex that looked like it would devour everything that ever existed with shock and disbelief.
When the group stepped forward, they saw that the pouring seawater in the hole was no longer grayish black in color. Instead, it was a deep, dark blue that was mixed with countless ribbons of dark-colored light. In fact, it looked like billions of stars were floating and rotating inside the water. They looked as gorgeous as they were deadly.
There was no water at the center of the vortex. There was only absolute darkness and nothingness. It was so black it felt like it could devour all light and soul. It was also giving off an unbelievable pulling force.
Staring into the center of the darkness, Ye Qing nodded calmly and said, “That’s right. The World Ender Jiuying is suppressed under this vortex; at the bottom of the Blue Hole of Primal Chaos.”
“What are we waiting for then?”
The Old Heavenly Master was the most impatient of them all, and his eyes were brimming with fighting spirit. “Let’s go and meet that animal with nine heads already!”
Everyone echoed in agreement and stopped hesitating. They all flew toward the gigantic Blue hole of Primal Chaos.
As soon as they entered the hole, an unimaginable pulling force seized all of them.
It wasn’t something as simple as the pulling force of water currents or something. It felt more like a giant, invisible hand had seized their whole body before forcefully pulling them toward that patch of absolute darkness.
Even top-tier champions such as Ye Qing and the Chief Libationist had to channel all of their strength to maintain their stance. Their fall was inevitable though, and they were only moving faster and faster.
As their surroundings changed, the spiraling grayish black streams and shattered profound light stretched and twisted into many blurry ribbons of light. The only sound they could hear was the massive roars caused by the rapidly spinning water currents as well.
Their fall velocity was still increasing. It eventually got to the point where even Sages like them were afraid.
As they fell deeper and deeper into the hole, the surrounding light rapidly waned into blackness.
Ye Qing channeled the Earthly Sovereign Bell’s power to illuminate their surroundings, but the all-encompassing darkness devoured it all like a gluttonous beast. Its range kept shrinking further and further until he could barely maintain a circle of light that was at most a meter away beyond the group.
Soon, even this final bit of darkness was devoured entirely.
Absolute darkness descended, and they could not see their fingers even if they waved them right in front of their faces. Their spiritual senses were greatly suppressed as well. It felt as if they had fallen into a world that was composed of absolute darkness, silent and oppressive.
Suddenly, they felt a soft breeze amidst this silent darkness.
The breeze came out of nowhere and felt odd when it brushed against their skin. Even stranger, they caught a faint scent that smelled like honey.
“The wind is poisonous! Beware, everyone!”
Suddenly, the Chief Libationist paled and warned everyone.
Before he finished, he waved his large sleeve and unleashed a gust of righteous qi. It spread out like a current of warm spring water and formed an invisible barrier around them.
The sweet, poisonous wind sizzled slightly when it made contact with the barrier of righteous qi. However, it could no longer get close even a little. The barrier isolated it perfectly.
The breeze did not stop, and the odd fragrance did not disappear. Instead, a drizzle began falling from above.
The rain water wasn’t clear and pure. It was infused with some sort of murky gray that sizzled softly against the Chief Libationist’s barrier. It also produced wisps of gray smoke like boiling oil that was poured into cold water.
Even the Chief Libationist’s righteous qi—a qi of ultimate yang and forcefulness—slowly dimmed over time and rippled with every raindrop. It looked like the barrier would be pierced at any moment.
Then, the temperature suddenly nosedived, and an icy chill enveloped it all.
The raindrops in the sky actually iced over and turned into snow.
The snow wasn’t pure white like normal snow. Instead, it was an unsettling gray that gave off a bone-chilling cold.
The snow piled up without a sound, freezing even the light and shadow existing in its path. Space itself was twisting and rippling slightly as if it was freezing because of the unnatural, deathly cold.
