STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 670: Part 1: Starlight thread
5th Zone, City-A
Wilderness
Jeremy’s gaze fell on the decapitated head of the snake. The blade cut was neat and clean. He saw that the thread was still there.
He was not planning to remove it. He sheathed the blade before leaving the place.
He had received too much of a shock. The change in the starlight power was unexpected; it had formed solid power in the mental zone.
It appeared that each thread held enormous power. It could only be confirmed further through successive battles.
Initially, he had decided to return, but he had changed his mind now. He was going to look for a corrupted beast to fight.
Time went by.
He had been roaming around the area close to the border. He had come across beasts, but they were all lower-tier beasts, so he ignored them.
That evening, he made up his mind to go back. He had been looking for higher-tier beasts, but he had not come across them.
Right now, he was sitting on the bedrock. He was not wasting time. Instead, his forefinger was covered in starlight power.
A single piece of thread wrapped around his forefinger. With a thought, he controlled the single thread.
Swoosh!
It formed into an upright needle. Then, he thought of wrapping it around his finger. The next second, he easily wrapped the single thread around it.
His eyes gleamed with a twinkle. The new change in starlight power gave him countless ideas. He was thinking about a new attack technique.
It was the concept of using the sharp starlight threads to trap and kill enemies.
In a time of emergency, if he didn’t have the katana blade or handgun, then he could use the starlight thread in hand-to-hand combat.
Suddenly, his senses alerted him to danger. He turned around and looked in a particular direction.
He saw four Tier-4 Beast Tamers chatting and laughing. Unknowingly, they were approaching his direction.
His eyesight was sharp; he could tell that the Beast Tamers were from a different organization.
Jeremy decided not to have any more bloodshed. He had already forged a bloody feud with the Skull Gang.
He didn’t want to add one more to the enemy list.
He had killed enough. He was about to turn around to leave.
"Who goes there?"
Suddenly, he heard a voice from ahead.
He realized that the Beast Tamers had seen him. He then looked towards them. He thought that confrontation was unavoidable.
Swoosh!
In the blink of an eye, the Beast Tamers appeared before him. They surrounded him on all four sides.
All four of them were grinning from ear to ear. After a long time, they had found easy prey to target.
"Ha... Ha... Ha...!"
"We found an easy lamb."
"A mere Tier-3 Beast Tamer dares to wander alone."
The Beast Tamers started voicing their opinions. They saw that the Tier-3 Beast Tamer was careless.
"Kid, obediently hand over the valuables. Otherwise, you won’t be able to leave this place alive," a middle-aged man said.
He seemed to be the leader of the group. He was older than the other three middle-aged men.
Hearing that, Jeremy’s eyes flashed with an icy glint.
"Seniors, I don’t want any conflict with you. I’m from the Red Moon Chamber. I hope you guys don’t mess with me," Jeremy said in a stern tone.
After saying that, he began to control the single thread of starlight power. The length of the single thread was less than one meter.
"Red Moon Chamber!"
"What is a Red Moon Chamber?"
"They can’t protect themselves. Their own situation is dire. They can’t afford to offend other organizations," a slightly older middle-aged man said with anger.
"So you are from the Red Moon Chamber. Now it’s easier for us to kill you. No one will find anything," the second middle-aged man said.
"Brothers, we have got a good opportunity now. We can collect his internal organs as well," the third middle-aged man said.
The fourth middle-aged man said nothing, but he was simply nodding his head, which meant he agreed with everyone.
Jeremy’s heart boiled in anger. He was controlling himself from fighting against them, but these people were not giving him any way out.
"Enough!"
"Let’s kill him together," a slightly older middle-aged man said.
Swoosh!
The next second, all four of them charged forward to attack. They had weapons on their backs.
Jeremy Night’s heart turned cold. He moved his body. At the same time, he raised his hand to attack.
He pointed his forefinger forward. A single thread of the starlight power stretched forward.
Slash!
He made a slash by using his forefinger. A single white thread moved.
The middle-aged man saw a blur before his eyes.
Pfff!
A single sharp thread slit the throat of the middle-aged man, leaving behind a red line.
All of this happened within seconds.
Pfff!
Jeremy then moved his body again. He appeared before the next middle-aged man. Once again, he slashed the neck of the middle-aged man.
The single white thread made a sharp cut across the middle-aged man’s neck.
Pfff!
The middle-aged man widened his eyes in disbelief. He realized something sharp had cut his throat.
He touched his throat. The next second, the blood from the wound splattered across the ground.
By this time, the third and fourth middle-aged men reacted. They realized that something was wrong with the young man.
He had killed their members within a couple of seconds. If they didn’t escape now, they would face the same end.
Swoosh!
They turned around to flee in different directions. They cursed their bad luck. The lamb turned out to be a tiger in disguise.
Jeremy snorted. He was not going to let them escape. So he chased after them one by one and killed them successfully.
Pfff!
Thin red lines appeared on their necks. Their bodies then dropped to the ground one by one.
He didn’t bother to dispose of their corpses. He gave them the chance, but they refused to use their brains.
Next, his gaze turned to the white thread wrapped around his forefinger. It was not diminished. The power was still there.
