Strongest Necromancer System-Chapter 607: An Unplanned Meeting
’This isn’t magic. It feels similar to Jason’s power. Is this an Arcane Art as well?’
Enkidu called out from behind Gina while flying forward.
"Sicario, I finally found you. Where have you been? I thought I told you to wait for me before going on your mission?"
Sicario narrowed his eyes at Enkidu before he calmly waved her complaints away, and he turned to take a good look at Gina to make sure she didn’t have any injuries. Once he didn’t see any injuries on her body, he turned back to Enkidu.
"You didn’t hurt her, did you?"
Enkidu pouted up at Sicario before she folded her hands and turned away while saying.
"I just wanted to find out if she knew anything about you, but she wouldn’t stop attacking me, so I had to retaliate. I didn’t hurt her."
"Good, but make sure you don’t do anything unnecessary next time. This was excessive. Gina, I’m sorry about her; she is a bit too zealous, so she sometimes gets ahead of herself. This meeting was not supposed to happen, so I hope you can forgive us for it."
Doon!
An intense pressure suddenly appeared in the world of Yortsed, and Sicario closed his eyes and sighed as he recognised it immediately! He looked up and saw Jason looking down on them with narrowed eyes, and Sicario quickly put his hand out and stopped Enkidu before she could unleash her own magic as well. They couldn’t fight here. It wasn’t worth it, and it would not end well for anyone. There was a dark aura flowing out from Jason that reminded Sicario of the Beast that they had just killed, and Sicario grinned as he realised that Jason managed to take the Beast under his control. Jason had become the literal master of the world-ending Beast of the Apocalypse, and Sicario knew at that moment that Jason was the real deal.
Gina felt the restraints around her body vanish, and Sicario smiled as Jason slowly began to float down to meet them. Jason looked from Sicario over to Enkidu slowly before his gaze finally shifted towards Gina. Jason put his hand out to her, and she immediately took it and allowed him to pull her close.
"Are you okay? Did they hurt you?"
Jason asked this with an intense look in his eyes, and Gina knew that her answer at this moment was very important. Gina could speak about how Enkidu had tried to hurt her earlier, but she remembered that Enkidu was far more powerful than her, and if Enkidu had really wanted to hurt her, then she could have easily done it. The only reason they got into a fight was because Gina had attacked first out of fear. And besides, Sicario had apologised and held Enkidu back, so Gina didn’t think they were bad people. Gina shook her head and said that she wasn’t hurt.
"I’m fine. That woman almost hurt me, but the man stepped in before things could get bad."
Jason looked into Gina’s eyes and made sure that she was telling him the truth before he finally looked over at Sicario and Enkidu with a frown. Sicario smiled and raised a hand in apology.
"I didn’t think we would be meeting again so soon, Jason. Especially not because of the women in our lives. I apologise for my colleague’s actions. It was my mistake for not telling her where I was going, and she tends to become excessive when it concerns me."
Jason’s eyes trailed over to Enkidu, and he could feel annoyance rising from his heart when he saw her remorseless expression. It was obvious that she didn’t care at all about what she had done, and if the situation called for it, then she would do it again.
"You weren’t the one who attacked her, so why are you the one apologising?"
Jason said this to Sicario, but his words were directed towards Enkidu, and Sicario let out a small sigh and scratched the back of his head before he elbowed Enkidu and nudged her to apologise. Enkidu gave him a look, and even though her eyes were closed, Sicario still felt like she was rolling her eyes at him, but he didn’t back down, and she eventually turned back with a small frown and spoke to Gina.
"Sorry for scaring you. I didn’t mean to."
It was the most deadpan apology that anyone had ever given, and Jason narrowed his eyes at her. But Sicario clapped his hands and spoke calmly.
"Well, I’m glad we got that out of the way. Jason, she’s my subordinate, so her actions are my responsibility. I’ll try to make sure she doesn’t act out like this again, so please overlook it."
Jason would’ve forced Enkidu into giving a proper apology if she continued to act this way, but the sincerity in Sicario’s words calmed Jason down a little, and Jason eventually let out a calm sigh, and he turned away while speaking.
"Just make sure it doesn’t happen again. There are a lot of things I can forgive, but putting your hands on my woman is not one of them. The next time this happens, it won’t stop at a simple apology."
Sicario smiled, and he watched as both Jason and Gina vanished. Once they were gone, he glared at Enkidu in annoyance, and Enkidu pouted and turned away from his disappointed expression.
"You need to control yourself better, Enkidu. This could’ve ended badly."
Enkidu nodded.
"I know, but it’s not my fault. I thought she knew where you were, so I was just going to interrogate her. I wasn’t going to hurt her at all, I swear."
Sicario let out a harsh breath before he turned and began moving towards a Dimensional Tear. Enkidu followed behind him, and they were silent for a few seconds before she heard him ask.
"Did you pass the message to the rest of the Apostles like I asked?"
Enkidu nodded as she flew a bit faster to catch up to Sicario.
"I told everyone the plan, and I don’t think we’ll have any issues with the rest of them. But Ulysis might become a problem. She’s too much of a wildcard, so I don’t trust her."
Sicario just laughed, and he asked Enkidu what Ulysis was doing right now.
"I’m not sure, but I think she’s trying to build some stupid empire on a Rank II world. She enslaved the people there, and she’s forcing them to build giant pyramids in her image. After what happened to the last world she enslaved, I made sure to talk to her, and I told her not to enslave any more worlds until we were ready to start the plan. But if you ask me, I think it’ll be better to just kill her and allow someone else to take the Reality Art. She doesn’t take this seriously enough."
"No, Ulysis might be rebellious, but no one knows how to manipulate reality as well as she does. It’ll be too much trouble to train someone else in this short time. We’ll put our trust in her until she gives us a reason not to anymore, but for now, just keep her on a tight leash."
"So the plan went well? Are you really going to allow him to take the Shadow Art for himself?"
Enkidu asked this with a curious expression, and Sicario suddenly turned serious as he answered.
"There’s still a lot we have to do. But yes, I don’t think there’s going to be a better candidate for the Shadow Art. He’s strong, but I can get him to cooperate if I need to. Although I didn’t anticipate you meeting Gina like this. It’ll make things more difficult, but that shouldn’t affect anything moving forward."
Enkidu felt slightly guilty when she heard that her actions might affect the plans, and she apologised again.
"I’m sorry."
This time, her apology was more sincere, and Sicario just put his hand on her head and ruffled it kindly before telling her that it was alright.
