Strongest Necromancer System-Chapter 641: The Favoured Woman
"I will only give you all this one chance. Return yourselves to your prisons and remove yourselves from my sight."
Hesabeth spoke calmly, but her voice carried over the battlefield like it was magnified, and many of the prisoners shuffled in agitation as they considered Hesabeth’s words. Many of them knew exactly who Hesabeth was, and they were more than aware of the abilities she had, but there was still some doubt in their heads since they could feel that Hesabeth was barely even an SS Rank. One of the male prisoners at the side suddenly spoke up with a deep growl.
"You... you’re that woman, aren’t you? The one who is said to be the favourite of the Primordial Expanse. Some sort of goddess, that is what they call you. I understand you are used to getting your way, but I refuse to go back inside that pod. I have gained freedom for the first time in decades, and there is a free world out here for me to disappear into. For the sake of that freedom, I do not mind fighting against even your Primordial Bias –"
BOOM!
But before the man could even finish talking, a massive metal spear suddenly fell from the sky and stabbed through his chest before nailing him to the ground! The rest of the prisoners could only watch on in shock at the elaborate spear sticking out from the man’s chest! The spear had intricate runes carved into its shaft, and it looked like the weapon of some great warrior, so they all knew that it had no reason to be here! The man who had been stabbed looked over at Hesabeth with sheer disbelief in his eyes as he choked on his blood, and Hesabeth turned to him and glared in annoyance!
KA-BOOM!
All of a sudden, the collar around the man’s neck went through a malfunction that accidentally triggered it, and a massive explosion erupted through the air as the man’s head was blown off!
"Oh no!"
A voice came from above them, and everyone looked up to see that same woman with a body made from white light appearing once again! She still had an apologetic look on her face as she quickly came down and grabbed the spear from the torn and decapitated body of the dead prisoner.
"I’m sorry about that! I lost it while flying!"
The woman said this while flicking the blood off her weapon, but no one bothered to respond, and they could only watch on in shock as the woman bowed once again before taking off into another Dimensional Circle. You could have heard a pin drop on the battlefield! A deep, impossible silence came over everyone, and Hesabeth smiled before she flicked her fan into her palm and spoke.
"Now then, does anyone else have something they would like to say?"
"!"
All the prisoners felt an intense fear fill their hearts at that moment, and they immediately began to scramble towards their cylindrical pods! The prisoners ran like their lives depended on it, and they strapped themselves into the pods and lay still as the door began to close and seal them in once more! It was an unbelievable sight for Jason to witness. These same prisoners had just been fighting him for their freedom, and now they were willingly going back into those same prisons just to try and escape a power beyond their understanding.
’I can’t even blame them for running. What can you do against an enemy who has the entire world at her back? This goes beyond sheer dumb luck. It’s like her desires alter the very fabric of reality.’
Jason could only frown as he watched the prisoners running away, and he let out a calm breath as he felt a piercing gaze on his back. Jason turned and looked down towards Hesabeth to see her staring directly at him, and Hesabeth’s smile widened as she motioned for him to come down. A goddess such as herself should not have to gaze up at her lessers. For a moment, Jason considered just escaping. Hesabeth was one of the members of the council as well as an enforcer of the Primordial Treaty, so Jason knew for a fact that she was going to try to arrest him since he was a Black Enigma and a criminal. But there was something that made Jason stop. A direct fight against Hesabeth was not something that Jason wanted to get into right now. And even if Jason felt like he was one of the only people in the world who could fight her since her Primordial Bias didn’t work on him the way it worked on others, Jason had a feeling that Hesabeth wasn’t here just to arrest him.
——
’Gina, take the subordinates and head back into the Alternate Dimension. I’m going to talk to Hesabeth.’
Jason passed this message to Gina through her mental link, and Gina turned to him in surprise when she heard it. Gina thought that they were going to try their best to escape since Hesabeth was obviously not on their side! Why in the world would Jason want to talk to her? Even though Jason could tell how dangerous Hesabeth really was, everyone else on this battlefield could feel the mental coercion from the Primordial Expanse that forced them to adore and love Hesabeth. Right now, Gina didn’t even see Hesabeth as a bad person, and Gina didn’t feel any hatred towards her. The only reason Gina wanted to leave was because Gina knew that Hesabeth was a part of the council and she could arrest Jason. But once Gina saw Jason give her a serious look, she realised that Jason already had a plan in mind, and she decided to keep her concerns to herself for now. The Legion subordinates began to vanish as they headed into the Alternate Dimension, and Gina wished Jason good luck before she also vanished.
Beside Jason, Stella was standing with her sword in her hand, and a deep frown on her face, and Jason raised a brow when he saw this. Jason asked Stella if she didn’t hear the voices in her head. Stella was surprised by the question, and she just shook her head.
"I have a skill that blocks out most magical mental attacks. I can feel a pressure somewhere at the back of my head, but I think I can bear it for now." 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Jason couldn’t help but be impressed when he heard Stella say this, and he huffed with a small smile. Jason really couldn’t be surprised by the sheer number of skills that Stella had anymore. If all the Avarans were this versatile, then Jason could understand why the Primordials had to join forces to take them down. Jason spoke up calmly.
"Turn off your killing intent. You know who that is, don’t you? Her Primordial Bias alters your mind if you have any ill will towards her, and it gets stronger the more you want to harm her. Just focus on trying to protect me instead."
Stella was a little surprised by the order. Of course, Stella knew who Hesabeth was. There wasn’t a warrior in the Primordial Expanse who hadn’t heard about the woman favored by the world itself. But Stella never thought that there was a skill that literally alters the mind of those who were trying to harm Hesabeth. How in the world did Jason learn about that? Stella dropped her sword and got rid of her aggressive thoughts towards Hesabeth while focusing on guarding Jason instead, and she was surprised when she felt the pressure at the back of her head reducing! So Jason was right about the mental coercion!
’How in the world did Hesabeth gain a power like this? They say she was born with it, but is that really possible? If someone with evil intentions was born with this power, then would anyone be able to stop them?’
Stella couldn’t help but stare at Hesabeth in shock as this thought crossed her mind.
