This might be the biggest surprise Richard had received after this war began.

Even Ethan's decision to sacrifice himself to end this war was not as shocking as the appearance of this man who looked extremely familiar to the boy who held his heart in his hand.

"E-Ethan?" Thanks to Eleanor's voice, Richard knew that it wasn't just him who was seeing it.

It was…really, "Yeah, it's me."

The older version of Ethan spoke as he looked at his younger self and voiced, "Put that back, Ethan. It is no longer necessary."

Eleanor was in agreement with it as she moved her head like a broken doll.

However, "Unless I don't get the confirmation that this war is over and Zulcriz has received his title as an immortal back, I won't. And that's my final decision."

Richard was slightly ashamed that he felt thankful for his decision to remain standing on the borderline.

Zulcriz spoke, after a long time, "Who in the world are you….that energy? Veris? You…"

Zulcriz could feel divine energy flowing from the older version of Ethan.

"Who in the world is he, sister?" Goddess of Love asked with pure curiosity in her eyes.

From their expression, it was clear that they also weren't aware of this existence who appeared as Ethan but his aura was completely different.

Just like Ethan, he also had long silver hair and a pair of aquamarine eyes. The facial hair gave him a mature look and that goatee provided him a cool vibe.

He was taller and appeared more sturdy than the teenager Ethan, who was currently sitting on the ground—he wasn't sitting on the ground out of his own will rather, taking out his heart caused his body to turn numb.

The Supreme Goddess still had that grumpy look on her face—which was quite unnatural and something even her sister was seeing for the first time.

The older Ethan sighed before he finally said, "Before starting this story, let's bring the people who are involved in all this."

As he said, the older Ethan moved his hands, and slowly, a few figures levitated in their way.

Richard panicked a little, seeing his mother, Emily, Elizabeth, and Nora flying in their way.

"I won't hurt them, Richard." A warm tone helped Richard calm down but he still flew toward them and carried his mother and Emily toward the group.

With a snap, the anomaly broke their trance, earning a collective gasp from each of them.

"Wha…"

"Where...what?!"

"Richard?"

"Baaaaaby!!"

Four people, four reactions.

While Emily and Bellarine were hugging their beloved and thanking God for keeping him safe, Elizabeth and Nora had their face pale when their gazes landed on Ethan, who was holding his red beating heart.

"It's okay…he won't die." The older Ethan's voice made them realize that there was a man standing there who was oddly familiar.

"What…who…eh?" Nora was going through several emotions and she didn't know what she should ask first.

Elizabeth was too shocked and afraid to utter a word as she blankly stared at the man.

The older Ethan sighed before he assured them, "He won't die, so calm down and listen to what I have to say."

Elizabeth was still quite troubled as she looked at Ethan, but his eyes ceased any question she had.

He cupped her cheek and assured her, "Trust him… I have a feeling everything would be fine now."

The princess bit her lower lip before she nodded and turned her eyes toward the man.

Now everyone was focused on the man who stood intimately close to the supreme Goddess.

He began, "In our last timeline…when Ethan died…he actually didn't die; rather, his body became frozen, kind of hibernation mode?"

Elizabeth frowned, "This can't be…I checked his pulse myself."

Ethan nodded, "I am aware, I saw it. However, despite wanting to wake up and tell you that I didn't exhaust all my powers, I couldn't. I was recovering."

Elizaebeth and Nora's mouth hung low. Eleanor had a pale face as well since she used all kinds of potions to revive him…but nothing worked. She couldn't forget that dark day. Until recently, she used to have the nightmare of that day…thinking, what if fate again throws them into the same situation?

"Yeah, I survived but since the time was about to reverse and it was impossible to send me back in time because of the Divine Essence I held and consumed during the war…I was taken by Veris."

"Sister?" Atheris asked with a frown, "You…lied to us? But why?"

Veris also frowned, "I had no other option. I didn't trust the apostles you chose that's why I wanted to have a secondary plan…that's why I nurtured him and prepared him for this war."

"A lost Emissary who was hidden from the heavens? I didn't expect it from you, Veris." The goddess of Justice, Veridara heavily voiced.

Veris clicked her tongue, "I didn't intend on hiding him for long but you all had put him in the celestial cell because his presence was out of order."

"Yes, we definitely had. But why did you care about him so much? Is it not one of the rules which you made?" Atheris asked with a frown of confusion on her face.

However, that question wasn't answered by the one who was questioned. Rather, it was the older Ethan who said,

"Because she fell for me and I fell for her~"

A round of gasps and a few whistles (basically, only Bellarine whistled) upon hearing that confession.

And considering Veris didn't retaliate. Rather, she just turned beet red, it was apparent that Ethan wasn't lying.

After a brief pause, he added, "That's why I was told to wander around the world and keep myself hidden." Glancing at Richard, he added, "Oh, by the way, the novel you read about the world was written by me. No need to thank me though."

Richard's eyes widened as Emily muttered, "So E.S stands for Ethan Stronghart, huh?"

Etha nodded, before he added, "And now, since Ethan has lost this battle, my dear Veris, why don't you just allow my brother-in-law to join the family again?"

Now every eye was on Veris. What decision the Supreme Deity would take?
