Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts-Chapter 722: Fierce Battle
They were surprised. Brunhild actually managed to take one of the gorgon's arms despite the latter giving out the feeling of being invincible.
If this was a one-on-one battle, Sera would have a hard time fighting Sebastian, let alone defeating him. After all, Sebastian had three other familiars.
However, this wasn't such a battle. Eric was here and knew that Sera should be the main attacker, especially after seeing Asmodeus' power and Brunhild's transformation.
Still, Eric wasn't the only one who realized that fact.
"Shaaa!" The gorgon let out a scream. The moment Sebastian heard that cry, he hurriedly shouted, "Attack all of them! Belphegor. Help her!"
"No. You won't." Asmodeus stood between them and released his own magic to prevent Belphegor from increasing the gorgon's strength any further.
"Kh." Belphegor clenched his fists, unable to help the gorgon.
Knowing he couldn't rely on Belphegor anymore, Sebastian turned in the opposite direction. "Oi, Tanya. Send some of your familiars to me!"
Unlike Sebastian, Tanya only had to fight Raigor. That was why she was still comfortable enough to send one or two of her familiars.
In fact, she felt she could defeat Raigor within several minutes.
Because Sebastian couldn't hold on any longer, she waved her hand, sending her two familiars at the same time.
Brunhild only spared a glance at it because there was no need for another glance.
When the two familiars were about to reach Brunhild, both of them halted their steps and turned their bodies around.
There were three knights clad in black armor. The first one was Noelle, who struck and launched a familiar to the ground, while the second and third knights were Duke Murmur and the horseman of the apocalypse.
Duke Murmur cut both arms and left a deep slash on its body while the horseman sent its head flying.
"Murmur?!" Belphegor gasped.
Murmur glanced at him for a split second before ignoring him. On the other hand, Noelle said to Sera. "It took me a while, but I had neutralized all the threats within that place. It's time to clean up, Sera."
Sera smiled. "Yeah. Work together with Paladin Raigor and defeat that woman."
Noelle nodded. Although Tanya was stronger than her, she managed to take down one of her familiars in the surprise attack. With Raigor supporting her, both of them should have no problem taking down Tanya.
If it was the former Noelle, she wouldn't use a sneak attack, as it was a cowardly tactic. But Noelle had changed. Just like other girls, the way she did things had been greatly influenced by Nathan.
And thanks to it, they should be able to defeat their enemies without much of a problem.
Brunhild waved her spear, trying to cut the gorgon's neck. But as expected, there was no way she would go down that easily. The snakes on her head went on a rampage and sacrificed their own lives to weaken her spear.
After that, Sebastian summoned massive tentacles and surrounded her, trying to catch her.
Eric hurriedly sent forth a cross down, which struck Sebastian directly. Even so, Sebastian couldn't afford to deal with this cross because she had to stop Brunhild.
"Haaaaa!" Sebastian roared as his power also increased rapidly. "Haunting Spirits!"
"!!!" Asmodeus widened his eyes.
It was the same attack as Belphegor. Although he had expected Sebastian to make Belphegor his lifebound familiar, he didn't think Sebastian was this clever.
First, he sealed off Brunhild and then took Eric's attack. With both of them not being able to do anything after that, Sebastian could send forth that annoying attack directly to Sera.
Sera didn't have enough ability to handle this type of attack.
Asmodeus wanted to help Sera, but it was Belphegor's turn to stop him.
"Hehehe. Where do you think you're going, Asmodeus?" Belphegor smirked.
"…" Asmodeus squinted his eyes before sighing. "No. I'm not going anywhere."
"!!!"
Suddenly, a white light erupted and destroyed all the black tentacles, revealing Brunhild with slightly tattered clothes. The black tentacles actually destroyed her clothes and melted her skin. Even so, she managed to break out.
After that, she tossed her spear toward Sera and stabbed the ground right in front of her foot. The tip of the spear glowed and produced another burst of light that neutralized a portion of the haunting spirits.
Even so, there were still half of them left coming toward her.
Despite knowing that her life was in danger, Sera's expression remained unchanged. The necklace granted by the Azilia Kingdom started to emit a powerful golden light.
That was right. The Necklace of True Love. The saint who was supposed to become the next pope left everything behind except for the necklace that represented his true love.
He wished to protect her and pushed all harms away from her.
From the necklace, a golden barrier manifested and purified the attack, neutralizing the remaining spirits.
"What is that?" Sebastian widened his eyes in shock.
Among the people here, Eric was probably the only one to recognize the power of the necklace.
'The Necklace of True Love? She actually possessed that artifact?' Eric never thought the Azilia Kingdom would give such a valuable treasure.
After neutralizing that power, Sera grabbed the spear. As she was about to toss it back to Brunhild, she saw Brunhild pointing up. Hence, she threw the spear into the air.

Brunhild suddenly leaped away while raising her hand.
The spear looked like it was breaking apart, but it magically expanded in size and formed a massive spear in the sky.
"Not good!" Sebastian waved his hand, releasing a burst of energy to interrupt her.
However, a small cross was thrown into its trajectory and shone brightly, neutralizing its power.
"!!!" Sebastian gritted his teeth.
"I'm here too." Eric smirked. "I hope you don't forget about me, Sebastian. This is the end for you."
The gorgon was trying to reach Brunhild with her snake, but Brunhild was one step faster. She waved her hand down and released one of the strongest attacks she could currently muster.
'Slaying Spear.'
