"!!!" Fenrir and Jinwu were confused. Did their attack just become very effective against the alien?

Jinwu thought even with all that power, the only thing he could do was scratch the surface. He needed a few more attacks to eventually break through its skin.

Yet for some reason, he managed to cut the tentacle completely.

"Summoner. What did you do?" Jinwu asked. "There's no way my attack is that effective."

Nathan smiled. "I only froze the tentacle."

"Impossible. Do you understand what you're saying? Freezing the tentacle might stop it, but it won't allow me to achieve that level of damage! Although my sun fire is strong, I'm still not at my peak, so my sun fire won't be enough to kill this guy in one shot."

"Even if you say that…" Nathan paused for a moment. "I really just froze the tentacle, but if I had to explain more, I froze the entire tentacle, including the inner part."

"!!!" Jinwu came to a realization. By freezing the inner part, Nathan made the tentacle into nothing but ice. In other words, he didn't attack the tentacle but the ice.

As a result, the mutant couldn't help but focus on him, knowing that he was much more of a threat compared to Fenrir or Jinwu.

"Raa!" The alien shook his body.

"Kh!" Fenrir tried to stop him, but the alien managed to overpower him and pushed him to the side. "Not good! Watch out!"

The alien came straight to Nathan and punched him at his fastest speed.

Bam!

"Summoner!" Fenrir and Jinwu shouted in panic.

To their surprise, the alien suddenly pulled his hand while screaming. "Raaaoo!"

There were wounds on his fingers as though he had just hit a spike.

When the dust settled, everyone could see a weird structure made of ice. The structure had a triangle shape, but it was made of other smaller triangles connected with each other, creating a complex triangle shape.

"Hehehehe. You might be aliens, but don't underestimate the achievement of modern humans!" Nathan grinned. The shape he made was actually the combination of his absolute ice and the strongest structure in modern engineering he could think of.

Of course, even Nathan didn't expect that he would mix the shape of a bridge and a human skyscraper to pull this off. He didn't even know if this was the best shape possible or not, but at least it was stronger than a small spike.

He could just make it a spike or a pyramid, but he wanted a hollow shape because he wanted to hide himself inside it.

After all, if he made a spike, even if the spike pierced the hand, the alien would definitely continue until the punch hit the ground. Thus, he wanted a bigger shape, like a pyramid, but with an additional spot to hide himself. This was the structure.

'Still, even though I looked this confident, this guy is a mutant, right?' Nathan raised his head, finding the hand and the tentacle started to regenerate. 'As expected, killing it won't be as easy. Besides, this guy is still messing with our minds and draining our energy. The longer this fight, the more disadvantageous our position is. Besides…'

Nathan glanced down. Even though the falling trees were able to push them back, lower-level aliens had climbed back up. It wouldn't be long before they caught up.

With the mutant moving back from Nathan, the latter took this opportunity to leap toward him.

The alien panicked and sent forth the other two tentacles to stop him, but Nathan kicked the air and avoided them multiple times until he reached the mutant's stomach.

"Freeze!"

"Groaa!" The mutant screamed and tried to stop Nathan, but Fenrir pounced on him and pushed him off balance until he fell down completely.

"Jinwu!"

"Oh!" Jinwu gathered his sun fire again, but instead of his mouth, Jinwu sent forth multiple beams from his wings instead, so that he could attack a larger area.

Bit by bit, the mutant's stomach melted.

The mutant shook its body with all its strength, throwing Fenrir away and forcing Nathan to retreat. Still, Jinwu's attack was connected. There was a huge hole in the alien's stomach.

'By sacrificing twenty minutes of control, I'm able to improve the way I freeze. This might be enough to somehow defeat the mutant, but…' Nathan squinted his eyes. The mutant seemed to stop harming their mind and used all its strength to regenerate.

Although the regeneration was quite slow, it should be able to recover in a minute or two.

Of course, the improved freezing allowed him to freeze the ena itself. Just like how he attacked with freezing bullets or creating that shape, it was originally ena. He spread his energy that way and froze them.

Although 'Form' was not his best, he was able to form some simple structures. Unfortunately, this was not enough to take down the mutant.

'This is annoying. We're lacking an attack that can kill this guy. He's also protecting his neck closely, so I can't reach it.' Nathan bit his lips.

"Groaaa!" The mutant was furious. It rose back up, even with a hole in its stomach. Fenrir tried to stop him, but without using his unique ability, the alien could unleash a much stronger punch and knock him to the ground.

"Gah!" Fenrir gritted his teeth and saw the alien punch him in the face.

His head was knocked down to the ground, causing him to spit a mouthful of blood.

Nathan felt bad for Fenrir, but this was an opportunity. He had already come close enough to freeze his chest. As long as he spread the freezing wide enough, Jinwu could deal a finishing blow.

However, the mutant did the unexpected. Instead of blocking Nathan's attack, it actually kicked the tip of the hill.

Bam!

That kick was so strong that it pushed the soil until it eventually snapped.

"!!!"

In an instant, Nathan saw the alien's intention. That mass of soil would definitely hit Sera and the others if he didn't do anything.

The alien actually forced him to choose whether he wanted to kill him or save his girls. As if understanding Nathan's frustration, a smile actually appeared on the alien's face.

"This bastard."
