Supreme BeastTamer: I Can Copy and Upgrade Skills 10x!-Chapter 673: Ria, The World Priest
Chapter 673: Ria, The World Priest
Nox and Jared destroyed all the portals on the second floor as well. The demon lord of this floor was also at the Expert Rank.
After spamming his ultimate skills a couple of times, he was able to greatly weaken that demon as well.
Of course, Nox didn’t outright kill him, as he needed the location of the teleportation circle. freeweɓnøvel~com
One thing he noticed, though, was that the demon lords of the lower floors didn’t seem to care about him advancing towards the next floor.
From his observations, he could tell that even though they might seem united on the surface, the demon lords didn’t really care about their people or emperor.
They were a bunch of selfish creatures who only cared about their survival.
Soon, they arrived at the teleportation circle, and before they left, Nox killed the demon lord by driving Glacier’s End into his chest when he least expected it.
It was only after he killed the demon lord that he remembered something and couldn’t help but facepalm.
’I should have tamed him instead,’ he thought inwardly with a frown on his face. If only he had tamed the demon lord, he wouldn’t have to go through the hurdle of weakening them and could instead focus on getting rid of them.
Of course, some might wonder why he didn’t just tame all the demon lords. Unfortunately, he couldn’t really do that, as his taming space wasn’t infinite.
After his mass taming of the dragons Nox still had few taming slots left.
As for his spirit slot: it was full!
The only way he could make out space was by fusing spirits together.
Some time later, the duo appeared on the third floor.
"How many floors do we have left to go?" Jared asked with a frown as he took in their new surroundings.
It was just a slightly upgraded version of the first and second floors—nothing too significant.
There were crude stone pillars, a faint red mist, and cracked demonic symbols etched on the ground.
"System," Nox called.
He didn’t have to complete the question, as the System perfectly read his mind and gave him a reply.
"It’s a hundred floors," Nox told Jared what he heard from the System.
The green-haired boy sucked in a deep breath. "We’ve merely scratched the surface. We still have a long way to go."
"Well, let’s get to work already," Nox said as several demons appeared on sight, wielding crude weapons and watching them with hostility in their eyes.
While Nox and Jared continued their massacre in the Demon Empire, the tension skyrocketed in the Armstrong Duchy.
A serious expression appeared on both Kira and Hendrix’s faces as they observed their new enemy.
Unlike Jack and Akira, they didn’t dare act cocky around the crown prince. This was, after all, someone who had held against the demon invasion for several weeks before fleeing.
The four expert demons snarled as they prepared themselves to jump in case anything went wrong.
Fortunately, Adrian wasn’t alone. From the flying carriage, which was able to house hundreds of soldiers, his men poured out.
Now the human army and that of the demons and the Flaming Order stood opposite each other, tension palpable in the air.
Step! Step!
Ria, the priestess, stepped forward, stopping beside Akira and Jack. In her hand was a staff with a gleaming white crystal embedded in it.
Ria pointed her staff at Akira, and instantly, a radiant light enveloped her, healing all her injuries.
Akira’s eyes glinted. Not only did it heal, but it seemed whatever this person had done had also replenished her fatigue. It was safe to say she was back to her peak state before the fight began.
"Thank you," she whispered.
Ria smiled faintly and said in a soft voice, "It’s nothing. I’m glad to help, although I’m quite shocked to find someone like you here."
"Um, before you two have that conversation, can you do that stuff to me as well?" Jack shamelessly called out from the side while scratching his head.
"Right, sorry." Ria quickly apologized as she healed Jack as well.
Hendrix’s eyebrow twitched when he saw this sight. It was as if all the injuries he had caused had been in vain.
As for Kira, she remained expressionless as always.
"I’ll give you two options," Adrian’s deep, cold voice echoed. "Surrender and leave this region or fight and perish."
A sneer appeared on the faces of the four expert demons.
One of them, the one with a bulky build and gray scales, spoke. "This region is under our control—you’re the intruder here!"
"Really." A slow smirk formed on Adrian’s face. He didn’t bother to spare that demon a look, as if they weren’t worth his attention.
Instead, he was looking at the red-skinned girl because he could tell she was the one in charge here.
She didn’t say a word.
Adrian had his answer.
"Ria, do your thing!" Adrian suddenly shouted at the top of his voice.
A determined gleam appeared on the princess’s face as she slammed her staff to the ground while shouting,
"Enhance! First Activation!"
The princess’s soft and melodious voice rang out.
Immediately, the soldiers and everyone belonging to the human army felt a strange sensation wrapping around them. They felt their power double, and a hunger for blood gleamed in their eyes.
"The feeling..." Jack mumbled in a dazed voice. He wasn’t even an Awakened, but the surge of strength coursing through his body was undeniable.
The soldiers were no different. They trembled with excitement, their grips tightening on their weapons as a collective battle cry rumbled in their chests.
As he felt the surge of strength course through him, Adrian’s eyes couldn’t help but glimmer with excitement.
’Maybe I should have let her participate in this fight,’ he thought inwardly. ’This power... it feels as if I can fight multiple Expert Ranks.’
He slowly raised his hand, a swirling mass of water blades forming around him like a spiraling crown.
"Advance!" His booming voice echoed.
"RAAAHHH!!"
The human army roared as they surged forward with renewed vigor. The ground shook beneath their unified charge, while the four expert demons and their forces gritted their teeth.
"Tch. Kill them all!" the red-skinned girl finally gave the order, her voice cold and firm.
Instantly, both armies charged toward each other.

Meanwhile, in the capital.
Skulky was staring at his mistress, Eve, those flickering green orb-like eyes shining in confusion.
"Mistress," the skeleton butler said, "If I may ask, why did you allow them to escape?"
