The Absolute beast Tamer-Chapter 90: POCKET DIMENSION (2)
No. 80: "Grass, weed, that’s what you have been gathering?"
Alan: "How about a bet?"
No. 80: "A bet?"
Alan: "Yeah, I bet you will treat this grass like gold, and you will be thanking me in…. less than an hour with crying eyes."
Number 80 had an astonished look on his face as he could not believe his ears.
No. 80: "My excellent junior, you are delusional at best now."
Alan had a smile on his face as he started sorting all kinds of herbs, laying them on the ground.
Alan: "Can you help me with something, senior?"
No. 80: "Sure, what do you want?"
Alan: "Apply heat on these herbs, but do not burn them; we only want them to dry out."
With a skeptical look on his face, number 80 did exactly what Alan wanted, applying the heat from his art to dry out all the herbs.
No. 80: "Here you go, done."
Alan: "Thank you."
Number nine was watching this exchange as she tied up the place, completely baffled by the behavior of those two.
Alan took all the dried herbs as he began crushing and mixing them together; a strong aroma spread throughout the small camp.
Alan: "Okay, we are ready; give me the meat; I will do the grilling."
Number 80 gave Alan the meat as he was watching with great interest.
Like a seasoned chef, Alan applied all the dried herbs’ mix onto the meat, completely covering them up.
As he started the grilling on the fire, an appetizing aroma that teased one’s hunger spread all over the camp, gently scratching the noses of his seniors and capturing their attention.
No80: "glup"
20 minutes later, the grilled meat seasoned with herbs was ready.
Alan: "Okay, The food is ready, but before that, senior number nine Can you help me cool this beverage?
Number nine used her control over the water attribute to lower the temperature of the beverage that was made alongside the grilled meat as she conjured a few pieces of ice to add to it, adhering to Alan’s request.
Alan: "Bon appétit."
As everyone took a piece of the grilled meat alongside the cold beverage made from a special mix of herbs and started eating.
No. 80: "Mmmm, my God, so f****** delicious!!!"
No. 9: "Mmm!!!"
Even the cold princess number 9 could not help but moan at the appetizing and delicious taste that practically exploded in one’s mouth.
With tears in his eyes, number 80 looked at Alan as if he had conceded the bet already.
No. 80: "I can’t believe that I’m eating such fine food in the wild. The grass that you brought with you was seasoning, right?"
Even number 9 was intrigued as she wanted to know how he made such a delicious meal in the middle of nowhere.
Alan: "Thanks to the many books given to me by instructor Mark about herbal ecology, I can find many useful herbs in any environment.
And one of the most useful things for an adventure in the wild is spices, so I made a small blend from the many herbs that I found all around us in this jungle; I hope you liked it."
No80: "We do. It is so freaking delicious, hahahaha. The others are probably eating bloody meat or some fruit from here and there right now; meanwhile, we are indulging in this luxury.
No. 9: "You seem very adept at cooking."
It is a rare occurrence for number 9 to ask a question, so Alan smiled back and answered.
Alan: "I did cook almost every day for my family."
The three of them enjoyed the feast and then retired to rest while keeping one of them on the lookout using the rotation system.
.....
When they were fully arrested and with a full belly, the three of them gathered to discuss their next move.
No. 80: "So which direction do we move on next?"
No. 9: "We can’t move blindly like we did before; we will only be moving towards danger, so we need a plan."
Alan: "What we need urgently is the information about our exact location and how to get out of this jungle."
No. 80: "How about we try climbing this tree? With a full jump from the top of the trees, we can get a better picture of the topography of this place."
No. 9: "It is a risky plan; did you forget about the avian beasts?"
Alan: "Sadly, there is no free risk plan in this situation.
We can either move into a certain direction depending on luck.
Or move slowly, which may take many weeks to map this jungle.
Or we can take number 80’s suggestion."
No. 80: "Let’s try to find the highest tree to climb up. Then I will perform the jump with the best I could and try to find an exit out of this jungle from up there."
Alan: "No, I should be the one performing the jump."
No. 9: "Why it’s too dangerous for you."
Alan: "Exactly the opposite. We can’t fly, so we will be vulnerable to attacks when we are suspended mid-air, but you two forgot something: I can teleport, so I will jump, take a look, and then teleport back immediately, reducing the risk margins to almost zero."
Number 9 looked at Alan and then nodded her head, agreeing, and so did number 80.
The three of them started climbing the tallest tree they found around them.

As they were climbing, the darkness around them began to fade away as more light was coming from the cracks of the trees.
Alan: "Stop at 3 o’clock and take a look."
The two of them became completely reliant on Alan’s sharp perception that managed to save their lives earlier.
When they took a look, they were stunned by a huge chilopoda, which is a centipede-like creature lying peacefully on the huge branches of the tree.
Its size was massive, and it was still as if it was basking in the warm sunlight slipping through the cracks of the giant tree.
No. 80: "If we want to move forward, we need to remove this obstacle."
No9: "I don’t feel any powerful Ena fluctuation from it, so it should be around our level at 7th stage creature"
Alan: "Then let’s do it this way, number nine I will teleport you first so you can attack the creature and deliver a fatal strike.
Then I will teleport senior 80 in case the attack did not finish it to deliver the final strike."
No. 80: "Sounds like a plan to me; let’s go."
No. 9: "Mmm."
Alan: "Okay then, you will go first, number nine."
Alan gently put his hand on number nine’s back as she immediately disappeared, appearing right above the huge creature.
Like a majestic mage, she conjured hundreds of icicles that were the size of a person and released them, covering the huge body of the creature who was startled by the sudden attack.
Immediately after number 80 appeared near the head of the massive creature, his fist that was burning found its way into the skull of the creature, finishing the kill in less than 5 seconds.
No. 80: "Wow, I have never felt such a swift and efficient coordination before, probably all thanks to your talent, number 33."
Alan: "You are giving me too much praise; in the end, you two have to finish it."
No. 9: "Let’s keep moving."
The three of them kept moving and climbing upward until they reached the end of this huge tree that was only one of many.
Inside the sea of green Even after they reached the top of the huge tree, disappointment was the only thing that was waiting for them.
No. 80: "F***, I can’t see the end of these trees."
No. 9: "We underestimated how massive this jungle is."
Alan: "I have not jumped yet, so don’t lose hope, but I think we need to review our plan. Although I can jump very high, I probably won’t reach enough altitude to take a good look at the area around us, so I will need your help, senior."
Alan looked at number 80, who was puzzled as he did not understand what his junior wanted from him.
No. 80: "What can I do?"
Alan: "I need you to make a controlled explosion right under my feet at the moment I jump to give me enough propulsion so I can reach the highest possible point. You need to do it carefully; otherwise, you will blow up my legs."
No. 9: "There is another point. Even though we normally don’t notice it, our junior is blind, so how do you plan on catching the terrain and understanding it when you don’t have a vision?"
Alan: "I will be using my perception, which is a much better choice to cover the whole terrain than using my eyes."
No. 80: "So the controlled explosion has to happen with precision so as not to injure you but give you the best push to reach the highest altitude."
Alan: "Exactly. The safety of my legs will depend on you, senior."
No80: "Phew, okay then get ready."
As Alan squatted down, manipulating the Ena as he concentrated them on his legs, readying himself to jump.
Number 80 used both his hands as he did his best to concentrate the flare explosion that he would release simultaneously when his juniors jumped.
The moment Alan jumped, number 80 immediately released a very concentrated flare that exploded, giving Alan another push.
Like a rocket, Alan flew higher and higher until he reached the tipping point at the highest altitude possible for his jump.
At that moment Alan’s concentration peaked as he used his connection with the void to release his perception, stretching it thin.
Capturing every single thing around him as he covered a terrifying distance
Suddenly his expressions changed.
Alan: "F***!!!!"
