A creeping shadow from behind the clouds descended towards Alan, who was helplessly suspended mid-air, faster than the wind, and completely locked on Alan’s location.

It was a split-second decision that saved him from the huge talons that were ready to chop him to pieces.

As the massive shadow appeared from behind the clouds, narrowing the distance between itself and Alan, it got ready for the meal that came unexpectedly.

Alan immediately teleported but not back to the top of the tree. He teleported himself to the back of the huge falcon-like beast.

As he was hanging by a thread, his hand grabbed the metallic feathers, doing his best not to fall from the back of this huge beast.

It took only a moment for the beast to register that the prey it was hunting appeared out of nowhere on its back.

The next action taken by the huge falcon-like beast showed how high its intelligence was as the beast dived faster and faster towards the sea of green.

As the massive beast disappeared between the trees, Alan barely held himself from falling off the beast’s back.

No80: "F***, do you see him?"

No. 9: "No, I can’t see anything from here, but he can teleport, so I don’t think the falcon beast managed to hurt him."

The two of them were shaken by the sudden attack that came out of nowhere.

Meanwhile, a crazy idea formed in Alan’s head as he desperately grabbed the dead Vines from all around him as the falcon was trying to get him off its back.

He decided to take a gamble as he used the dead Vines to wrap them around the neck of the falcon.

Pulling the Vines as hard as he could, he changed the trajectory of the falcon’s flight to leave the sea of trees.

As if he was riding the waves on the sea, the ride was chaotic and unpredictable.

He did his best to guide the falcon towards his teammates.

No. 80: "It’s coming our way!!"

No. 9: "Let’s kill it."

As both of them got ready to attack, they were stunned to see massive branches coiled around the falcon’s neck, and on its huge back was their junior, doing his best to control this beast.

Alan: "JUMP NOW."

The two of them jumped simultaneously as they landed on the falcon’s back; number 80 was almost blown away and barely managed to hang on.

No. 80: "What are you doing?"

Alan: "Change of plan, we will use this falcon to head southeast. I felt a massive mountain there. If we go by foot, we would need weeks."

No. 9: "The beast’s wild nature won’t allow us to control it!!! Your plan is crazy."

Alan took a look at the rampaging falcon as he used his Ena to release a frequency, trying to communicate with the falcon.

Alan: "Listen to me, you tried to kill me. Now I can kill you, but I won’t. All I want from you is to fly southeast, then I will let you go free."

As if he was pouring fuel over fire. His attempt to communicate only riled up the beast more.

As the falcon starts to ascend to a higher altitude and tries to fly erratically to push those insects off his back.

No. 80: "It is a prideful creature and a stubborn one, a simple talk Will not do the job."

Alan took a deep breath as he looked at this falcon, which was trying hard to make them fall.

Alan: "Number nine, freeze its wings."

No. 9: "What!!"

No80: "We will fall too, you know!!"

Alan: "Do it!!"

Number 9 immediately released a cold frost Aura directed at both wings in a matter of seconds; they froze up.

The falcon was stunned as it tried to break the ice restricting its wings only to fail.

The huge falcon body dropped from the sky at a terrifying speed, heading towards the ground.

Alan: "If you want to die, then we will happily make your wish come true; either you take us Southeast or we can go all happily kissing the ground."

A high-pitched screech came from the stubborn falcon as if it was displaying its last attempt at a struggle against those insects that wanted to kill him.

The distance was becoming shorter and shorter as the ground became bigger and bigger.

Reality began to sink in the mind of the falcon as it gave a low-pitched screech, as if it was begging for its life.

Alan: "I will trust you on that; we will unfreeze your wings, and you will take us where we want to go. If you try anything, I don’t mind having a falcon meet for dinner. Number nine, defrost the wings."

Immediately the ice covering the wings began to dissipate a few hundred meters above the sea of trees. The falcon regained its mobility as it started flying southeast.

Alan: "Good boy."

No. 80: "F***, that was insane."

No. 9: "Phew."

No80: "I always thought that you were logical, but I was mistaken. What would you have done if it was a stubborn beast and chose to commit suicide with us on its back?

Alan: "Simple. I will teleport us to the nearest tree."

No. 9: "Was this your plan from the start?"

Alan smiled and answered.

Alan: "No way, It was a spur-of-the-moment decision, a situation beyond my control. The moment I felt the presence of the huge mountain at a very far distance, I knew that we had to do something to get there in time. Then I was luckily attacked by a flying beast.

The fastest way to get there is to fly, of course."

Both of them had a weird look in their eyes as they watched the harmless-looking junior of theirs.

No. 80: "At the flying speed of the falcon, do you know when we will get there?"

Alan: "9 maybe 10 hours"

No. 9: "That is very far!!"

No. 80: "How would the other teams even reach a rocky area with mountains and get out of this jungle?"

Alan: "Maybe this is the surprise that instructor Eugene prepared."

No80: "Nah, this is probably just a challenge for the teams to locate and reach the destination. Feels too lackluster to be the surprise prepared by the instructor."

The source of this c𝓸ntent is freewebnøvel.coɱ.

No. 9: "I agree."

Alan: "Too lackluster, Are you joking? If the other teams can’t find a way to get to the location of the beast, then they will fail the task.

From my perception earlier, even if we did not have any obstacles along the way and we went towards the mountain with the fastest speed possible for us, we would have needed more than a week!"

No. 80: "Yep, this is instructor Eugene’s sense of humor, I guess."

Alan: "Not funny at all."

The three of them stayed on the falcon’s back as it kept flying southeast.

...….

A few hours later.

No. 80: "I can see the mountain; we almost cleared the jungle."

Alan and number 9 took a look at the massive mountain that looked so close yet was still far away.

Alan: "According to the information, the beast that we need to assassinate likes to make a habitat inside mountain caves, so we should be in the right place."

Just as they were talking amongst themselves, an even bigger shadow appeared right behind them.

No. 80: "F*** another flying beast."

The other flying beast attacked the falcon-like beast. The AirTag game began with the three of them on the falcon’s back.

Alan: "Number 80, can you snipe him with your flares from here?"

No. 80: "Too much wind; I can’t."

No. 9: "I also can’t do anything unless it comes closer."

The falcon-like beast was clearly scared as it did its best to avoid the incoming attacks from the other flying beast that looked much bigger and stronger.

No. 80: "How far is the mountain? Can we go down now?"

Alan: "It’s still some distance away."

No. 9: "We can walk; let’s go down now. The falcon beast won’t make it."

Alan: "You both jump; I will follow you. It will leave a bad taste in my mouth if I lift the falcon to become prey just like that."

No80: "What do you want to do? Clearly the other flying beast is much stronger than us, probably an 8th stage."

Taking two daggers that were hanging on his waist, Alan had a crazy smile on his face.

Alan: "I’m just going to give the falcon a head start by blinding this huge avian beast."

No. 9: "It’s better not to separate; take us with you; we will deliver one hit and then run using your teleportation."

Alan: "Ok."

As both of them stood in front of Alan, three of them disappeared from the falcon’s back, appearing right above the other huge flying beast.

The two seniors did not waste the second as they both attacked the vulnerable eyes of the flying beast.

The sudden attack that came out of nowhere completely blinded the massive flying beast, sending it into a fit of rage.

The falcon who saw what happened immediately increased its flying speed to get out of here.

No. 80: "Let’s get the f*** out of here, number 33."

Alan immediately teleported the three of them away from the blinded flying beast.
