The Billionaire Ex-Wife Stormed Back as a Marvelous Divine Doctor-Chapter 81: Go Home to Eat with You
Chapter 81: Chapter 81: Go Home to Eat with You
Isla Sutton stumbled out, having woken up when the little brat sat on her lap.
She had just been pretending not to notice.
Edwin Blake looked up, "Awake? Is there any discomfort?"
"Yeah, while I’m still here, if you have any discomfort, I can help treat you."
Ivy River casually toyed with a silver needle.
"No discomfort at all. The Divine Doctor Ayla is miraculous, curing all my ailments in one go."
"Patients need plenty of bed rest and should think less. Since their brain capacity is smaller than the average person, overthinking can be a burden, causing headaches."
Ivy River spoke utter nonsense with a straight face.
Isla Sutton almost couldn’t hold back, "Alright, thank you, Divine Doctor Ayla."
"You’re welcome. Sign the contract, Edwin Blake."
Edwin Blake made a large gesture and signed his name directly.
"Put your thumbprint on it."
Ivy River spoke lightly and subtly shifted her position.
"You’ve had it rough, my child."
Old Lady Blake choked up a bit, seeing Edwin Blake dawdling, she shouted angrily, "Put your thumbprint on it! Ayla has already made many concessions, don’t push your luck!"
Just as Edwin Blake was about to place his thumbprint, Isla Sutton leapt forward, reaching for the contract.
Ivy River smirked subtly as a silver needle appeared from nowhere, landing steadily in the crook of Isla’s knee.
Isla Sutton was unprepared and knelt on the ground.
"Wow, not even married yet and already giving such a grand gesture to Grandma?"
Old Lady Blake turned her head, and Butler Lee immediately understood, pushing her to another spot.
"Grandma, why didn’t you show her respect? Don’t you like her?" Ivy River feigned surprise, "Edwin Blake, why don’t you get down and kowtow with your beloved first love to Grandma?"
Isla Sutton looked like she was about to cry, "Edwin, don’t sign the contract because of me."
Old Lady Blake’s face darkened, "Get someone to throw her out, all that crying and whining is disgraceful."
Edwin Blake stamped the thumbprint and stood up beside Isla Sutton.
He understood her temperament well, "Don’t cause trouble here; this is the old residence, not your home."
Having achieved her goal, Ivy River flaunted the contract in her hand.
"Thanks, President Blake, one for you and one for me. Make sure not to lose it."
Ayla gave Ivy River a deep glance, "The Divine Doctor Ayla is truly generous, giving so many shares to my children out of love."
Isla Sutton thought she heard wrong.
"What? Edwin, did you say those shares?"
"Love means giving the best to them. I have no children myself, so Ivy’s kids are naturally my kids," Ivy River smiled slightly, "It’s just some shares. In the future, all my assets will be theirs."
It was like a thunderbolt out of a clear sky to Isla Sutton.
She trembled as she picked up a copy of the contract from the table.
The content was simple: 10% of the shares were now split between Elsa River and Vincent River.
While they were still minors, Edwin Blake would manage the shares on their behalf.
Once they reached adulthood, the shares would be transferred to the children.
The shares could not be sold, only managed.
The signatory on behalf of Party A was Ivy River.
"Impossible, impossible," Isla Sutton murmured softly, looking at Ivy River, "Divine Doctor Ayla, are you really that kind-hearted? How could you bear to give away billions to Ivy’s kids!"
"Being selfish yourself doesn’t mean others are. I like Fatty and Emmy, so what’s mine is theirs."
Seeing Ivy River’s nonchalant expression.
Edwin Blake felt more perplexed, "Alright, Isla, if there’s nothing urgent, stop talking, as long as you’re alright." ƒгeewёbnovel.com
"Hmph, no need to take advantage and then act humble!"
Old Lady Blake rudely showed them out, "You two hurry and leave my house. I don’t want to see you!"
Isla Sutton tightened her grip, refusing to give up, "This means you’re not keeping any shares, are you sure? You won’t regret this later, right?"
Ivy River found it amusing, "The shares are given to the kids, not Edwin Blake. Right now, they’re still under his name because Emmy and Fatty are young. Once they’re of age, Edwin Blake needs to transfer them immediately."
"Of course, if they don’t want them by then, the shares revert to Ivy."
A chill passed through Isla Sutton’s eyes, all of which was caught by Ivy River.
She walked up to Isla Sutton, gripping her chin to meet her gaze.
"Additionally, if anything happens to Emmy and Fatty, with my connections, I’ll ensure justice."
Isla Sutton was startled by Ivy River’s ruthlessness.
She quickly hid behind Edwin Blake, nervously gripping his sleeve.
How could Ayla know what she was thinking!
"Grandma, we’ll leave now. Don’t be mad, I’ll come visit you in a few days."
Edwin Blake frowned and instinctively shook off Isla Sutton’s arm.
He couldn’t help but blame her for being inconsiderate.
Isla Sutton steadied herself after swaying from his force.
Seeing Edwin Blake leave, she hurried to catch up, "Edwin, Edwin, wait for me."
Fatty and Emmy rushed inside once they left.
"Mommy, are you okay?"
Fatty looked her up and down worriedly, relieved to see she was unscathed.
He noticed the redness and swelling on Ivy River’s wrist, his gaze turning cold.
Ivy River hid her arm behind her back, "Should we have dinner with Grandma?"
"Okay, after dinner, are we going home?"
"Do you not want to go home? Or do you want to stay here with Grandma?"
Fatty wagged his finger, "No, no, no, I definitely want to go home! Let’s leave right after dinner!"
Old Lady Blake pretended to be upset, "Don’t you like me? Then just go, go. Oh, getting old and unwanted."
Fatty quickly shook his head, "No way! Mom, look, Grandma Zane is twisting my words."
"Brother, your words were off before," Emmy rushed up to hug Old Lady Blake’s leg, "Grandma Zane, we really like you, but we need to go home with Mom and go to school. We’ll visit you when we’re free, alright?"
Old Lady Blake instinctively looked at Ivy River.
"Really, Grandma. In two weeks, I’ll bring them once. We’ll come on Saturday and leave on Sunday, provided I’m not busy."
Seeing the hope in Old Lady Blake’s eyes, Ivy River couldn’t bring herself to hurt her.
"Haha! Finally, this old bag of bones has something to look forward to!"
Old Lady Blake motioned for Butler Lee to serve the dishes.
A whole family sat joyfully around the table for dinner.
"Grandma Zane, I don’t know where to start eating!"
Emmy looked at the piled-high bowls, a hint of helplessness in her soft voice, "Mine too, stop piling it on, enough is enough!"
Ivy River watched with amusement as the two kids covered their bowls.
Old Lady Blake was amused and laughed heartily.
"Grandma Lee, add another place setting; I’m hungry."
Ivy River frowned as Edwin Blake suddenly returned, "What are you doing back here?"
"Missed you, came back to have dinner with you."
