The Billionaire's Temptation: Love, Family and Revenge-Chapter 65: A Go ahead
Morgan had searched everywhere for Sia, even with the help of the security personnel, but she was nowhere to be found. His frustration grew with every passing second. He knew Sia too well—she was sly, always managing to slip away unnoticed. A sense of dread washed over him as he suddenly realized where she might have gone. Without wasting another moment, he rushed back into the house, his heart pounding with fear.
He desperately hoped that Sia hadn’t gone upstairs. But his worst fear was confirmed when he looked up and saw his boss, Ford, descending the staircase with an angry expression. The sight made Morgan freeze in place. He squeezed his eyes shut, taking a deep breath, as if trying to prepare himself for what was about to come. When he opened them again, he was face-to-face with Ford’s burning glare.
"Where were you when Sia climbed the stairs and entered my room?" Ford’s voice was filled with rage.
Morgan had no words. He knew there was no explanation that would satisfy his boss. Even if he tried to explain, Ford would never understand.
"I’m sorry, sir," was all he could manage to say.
Ford’s expression darkened even more. "Go and bring Elena’s food from Agnes," he ordered, his voice laced with irritation. Without waiting for another word, he stormed out towards his car.
Morgan wasted no time in following the command. Within minutes, he was back, holding a flask containing Elena’s meal. But as soon as he reached Ford, the boss didn’t even bother looking at him.
"Take the flask from him," Ford barked at his driver, James.
James immediately obeyed, taking the flask from Morgan’s hands without question. Ford, however, was not done. His anger was still boiling.
"When I return, I will punish you for not being alert," Ford warned. "I can’t trust you to watch over my house if you can’t even keep an eye on what’s happening inside it."
Morgan swallowed hard. He knew his boss meant every word.
"Make sure she leaves my room before I get back," Ford continued, his tone sharp and final. "And don’t forget—make sure she doesn’t take anything with her."
With that, Ford walked away, leaving Morgan standing there, feeling both helpless and irresponsible. He knew he had messed up, but there was nothing he could do now except follow the orders and hope that the punishment awaiting him wouldn’t be too harsh.
As he turned towards the stairs, he dreaded what he might find. Sia had clearly caused trouble, and now it was up to him to clean up the mess before Ford returned.
"Clean and tidy up every corner of my room," Ford ordered sharply. Without another word, he pulled up the side window of his car.
"Move!" he commanded.
In an instant, the car sped off, leaving behind a cloud of dust.
Morgan stood still, watching until the vehicle disappeared from sight. He clenched his fists and muttered a curse under his breath. How could he have been so careless? For years, he had worked tirelessly to earn Ford’s trust, always striving to be responsible and efficient. Now, with just one mistake, everything seemed to be crumbling. He could only hope that his punishment wouldn’t be too severe.
Lost in thought, Morgan didn’t notice Sia until she walked past him as if nothing had happened. A wave of anger surged through him.
"You better leave and never come back," he warned, his voice cold. "Next time, I won’t be so kind."
Sia paused but didn’t respond. Her silence only fueled his frustration.
"My boss scolded me because of you," Morgan continued, his tone sharp with resentment. "I hope you achieved whatever you came for."
Sia smirked slightly, but before she could say anything, Morgan turned to the security lady standing nearby.
"Search her," he ordered firmly. "Sir Ford instructed that we make sure she leaves with nothing of his."
The security lady stepped forward, ready to follow the command. But Sia’s demeanor changed instantly. She turned to Morgan, her eyes blazing with fury.
"How dare you!" she thundered, her voice filled with rage.
Her anger was palpable, but Morgan remained unfazed. The security lady reached out, prepared to inspect her belongings, but before she could touch her, Sia’s driver rushed in, trying to intervene.
Sia immediately raised a hand, signaling the driver to step back.
"It’s alright," Sia said, her voice calmer but still edged with irritation. "Let them do what they want."
The security lady proceeded with the search, carefully checking Sia’s pockets and handbag. After a thorough inspection, she finally stepped back and gave a nod of confirmation.
"Sir, she’s clear," the security lady reported.
Morgan exhaled slowly, relieved that nothing was found. He turned back to Sia, his expression unreadable.
"You can go now, Miss Sia," he said firmly. "And please, don’t come back. I don’t want to anger Sir Ford any further."
Sia held his gaze for a moment, then scoffed lightly before turning on her heels. Without another word, she walked toward her car, her driver following closely behind.
Morgan watched as they drove away, his jaw tightening. He had done his job, but he couldn’t shake off the uneasy feeling that this wasn’t the last time he would have to deal with Sia.
"You didn’t even let him sleep properly," Morgan muttered, regret creeping into his voice. He wished he had never allowed her inside in the first place.
Sia, unfazed, smiled in a sly and knowing way. Her lips curled into a smirk as she tilted her head slightly.
"You all better prepare yourselves for what’s coming," she warned, her voice laced with quiet menace. "You know when I strike, I strike deep."
With that, she turned away and stepped into her car. Without hesitation, her driver accelerated, the tires screeching against the pavement as they sped off.
Morgan stood frozen, his eyes fixed on the disappearing vehicle. No matter how much he tried to act tough, her words sent a chill down his spine. He clenched his fists, pushing aside the uneasy feeling that had settled in his chest.
Snapping out of his thoughts, he turned sharply to the guards. "Don’t ever let that woman in again," he ordered, his voice firm. Without waiting for a response, he hurried back into the house, hoping his punishment from Ford would not be as severe as he feared.
Meanwhile, inside the speeding car, Sia sat in silence. She had held back her emotions for as long as she could, but now, the tears she had been suppressing finally spilled over. She wiped them quickly with a small napkin, her grip tightening as frustration boiled within her.
She couldn’t believe it. Morgan—the same man she had once lifted from his miserable, poverty-stricken life—had the audacity to insult and humiliate her like that. The betrayal stung deeper than she had expected.
Taking a deep breath, she clenched her jaw. "He pushed me," she murmured to herself, her voice laced with sadness. "So he should be ready to face whatever comes next."
Her mind wandered as she stared blankly out of the window. A bitter laugh escaped her lips as she recalled a decision she had made earlier. She had told the blogger she hired to pause on the release of certain information. But now, after today’s events, her anger had reignited.
If only he had given in to her—if only Morgan had made love to her—perhaps she would have canceled her plans altogether. But now, there was no turning back.
She wiped her tears again, her expression hardening. The game had changed, and she was ready to strike.
Tears streamed down Sia’s cheeks, a mixture of anger and frustration boiling inside her. Her mind kept replaying the moment—how close she had been, how undeniable Morgan’s desire had been. She had seen it in his eyes, felt it in his body. He had wanted her, yet, even in his most vulnerable state, her naked form had not been enough to break him.
Her hands clenched into fists as she gritted her teeth.
"Just one more second... he would have been inside me," she seethed. "Ahh, just nearly!"
The thought of it made her blood boil. She had never been rejected before—not like this. She refused to let it slide.
Snatching her phone from the seat beside her, she scrolled through her contacts until she found the number she was looking for. With a sharp inhale, she pressed the call button.
The phone rang only once before the voice on the other end answered, sounding cheerful and eager.
"Oh, beautiful miss! What can I do for you this time?" the blogger asked excitedly.
Sia’s lips curled slightly, but her voice remained firm and cold.
"Go ahead with the plan," she instructed without hesitation.
A chuckle came through the receiver. "Yes, ma’am. Your wish is my command."
Without another word, Sia ended the call. She exhaled deeply, willing herself not to second-guess her decision. She was willing to do anything to get him even if it was going to hurt him.
She pressed her palms together, squeezing them into fists, trying to control the emotions swirling within her. There was no turning back now.
