The Black Shadow Soul Hunter-Chapter 16 - : The Background Story

On the way towards The Citadel of Ebril, Black Shadow looked at the horizon. The caravan was moving ahead along with the horses. The sound of the sand is different in the nights than day. The desert has its own voice he thought.

Black Shadow takes his horse near to the caravan, he looked inside. Amina was holding the boy in his lap. While Jihan's father was looking at his son, thinking about the past days probably. Black Shadow stopped his horse and feed them some grains. Then he came close to the caravan and hold shoulder of Jihan's father. Jihan's father looks at him with a glare of surprise.

Black Shadow looks at him and says, "My dear friend, I can not make up your loss, but I can help you. You can have faith in me. I am Black Shadow the soul hunter. I know you are in deep pain. But you have to help us."

The man looks up and replied, "Ok, I will tell you what you want to know. I want to see Hakim dead."

"Please tell me about you, I mean who are, how did you get here?"-Black Shadow asked the Jihan's father.

"It's a long story but I will tell you in short."- Jihan's father replied as he looked at Black Shadow with an appreciation in his face.

"Ok, Carry on."- Amina said.

The man continued - "My name is Benjir, Benjir Ibne Salil, I was very poor. In order to survive I did many stealing. I was caught many times. But some-how I did manage to escape, then I met Jihan's mom working at the palace as a servant of Anwar Zuad. We fell in love and had Jihan. Jihan's mother use to call me at palace at nights. I had great skills of stealing which I bought her as presents. But, one day Anwar Zuad caught me. He threatened me to cut my arms for stealing. Unless I work for him. So, I was afraid. Anwar Zuad was king's most trusted and a supreme wizard."

"Wait a minute, you worked for Anwar Zuad. So, then what happened? Why you were locked in at the Asfan Castle? -Amina asked Benjir as she was surprised.

Benir, Jihan's father continued- "It began with Hakim Al Tawa. Once Hakim was sent to the well in the dark for his earlier crimes. Hakim's uncle was Nadim. Nadim wanted to save Hakim by any means. So, Nadim had put some surahs, special powerful magical spells in to the pocket of Hakim. Hakim chanted these magical spells them while he got a magical lamp of Djin."

"Yes, I have heard about the Djin."- Black Shadow nodded his head. Please continue.

Benjir continued, -"The Djin appeared to Hakim. Hakim was brave, he did not get afraid. Instead he demanded the Djin to grant him three wishes. One of Hakim's wish was to make him the most strong and powerful man in the earth. So, the Djin filled up his first wish and he became the strongest man on earth. The second wish of Hakim was to make him to post clever man in the world. So, he got his wish but he used it to create black magic and torture innocent people."

"Obviously, what else, the monster Hakim will definitely harm innocent ones, he is the devil."- Amina said with disgust.

Benjir continued- "The third wish of Hakim was to provide him the most powerful weapon. So he got the jeweled knife. "Ame-no-nuhoko''."

Black Shadow said, "wait. Wait for a second. You said, Ame-no-nuhoko?"

Black Shadow continued, "I had read in my mythological book, Ame-no-nuhoko is a jeweled spear. It says that, Amenominakanushi, the Ancestral Master of Shintoism, created the legendary Ame-no-nuhoko with his very own celestial energy, in the palm of his hand. The spear's sole purpose was to help the Kamiyonanayo shape Creation to their desires.

So, after Izanagi took the spear, he went on to raise the primordial land-mass of Japan from the sea- Onogoro-shima. It is unknown what happened to the spear afterwards, as Izanagi only seemed to have used it for the sole purpose it was created for."

Benjir looked at Black Shadow, You read all right, but the head of the spear was found by Hakim through Djin, and was given to him as a jeweled crystal knife."

Amina ok, we get it, please continue- "with these extreme powers Hakim began to rule Arab and Persia. He found that the person led him to the well was the king's most trusted wizard Anwar Zuad. Although Anwar Zuad is devil but Hakim is the worst. There was a big fight between the Anwar Zuad and Hakim. Hakim was far more strong and powerful. Hakim's body got brunt from the fight. After the fight Hakim cut off Anwar's right hand which he had extreme powers and put him in the chains carved with powerful gemstone the Black obsidian."

Amina asked querulously to the Black Shadow- "Are those Black Obsidian that were in your bags?"

Black Shadow replied at her, "Yes, they are I found them while fighting with Anwar Zuad. These Black Obsidian has many magical powers specially providing directions and finding something or any person."

"Then what happened then? Please continue."- Amina askes Benjir

Benjir continued to tell the story, "Anwar was very clever so he places his daughter Fatema to Nadim. Fatema appeared to in the form of his daughter. So, Master Nadim thought Fatema is his real daughter. Anwar Zuad then made a plan."

Amina was surprised and said, "Wait Fatema is Anwar Zuad's Daughter? That means she was planning to double cross Hakim?"

Benjir again nodded his head and said, Yes, as his plan, Anwar Zuad, send me along with Jihan and my wife to steal the Jeweled knife. Anwar knew only this knife has the power to kill Hakim. I was sharp enough to steal the Jeweled Knife from Hakim. But in the process of stealing we were surrounded by the guards of Hakim. So, I had to give me up so that my wife and my son could get out in safe. And I gave the Jeweled knife to Jihan. Then Jihan took the knife and fled with his mother. I was held at Asfan Castle as a prisoner for many years. I was tortured along with the other prisoners."
