The bedroom was filled with silence except for Emily and Kaiden’s heavy breathing as the two of them enjoyed the after-waves of pleasure that were washing over them.

Who knew how long they stayed like that - Emily laying on her back while Kaiden covered her with his body but still making sure not to crush her under his weight.

Emily was almost getting drowsy when she felt Kaiden shifting as he removed himself from her arms and slipped down the bed. She tried to blink open her eyes and follow him but it seemed like she was suddenly too tired to even keep her eyes open.

She felt herself drifting toward the world of darkness but then her eyes flew open again when she sensed Kaiden returning to her side.

Despite her tiredness, her lips curled into a small smile when she noticed him marching around the room in his naked glory.

The man wasn’t at fault at all, he had a glorious body, to begin with. Obviously, he wanted to showcase it as much as he could.

He took a seat beside her on the edge of the bed and placed a small bucket of water on the bedside table.

All her tiredness and sleepiness disappeared and she was just curious now to know what he was going to do. And then she saw him dipping a small towel in the water and squeezing out the excess water before he turned his entire attention to her.

"What are you doing?" She asked while trying to not show just how baffled she was at the moment.

Kaiden smiled warmly at her as he replied softly, "Relax, Angel. Let me take care of you."

Of course, she was relaxed. She just didn’t know what he was about to do and why.

So, she just stayed silent and watched as he started cleaning her inner thighs and her private area with the towel.

Her cheeks warmed up instantly and she didn’t need a mirror to see just how flushed she was as the horror and embarrassment of what he was doing took over her. Somehow, this seemed even more intimate than the sex that they just had.

"Kaiden...! You don’t have to do this. I can just shower..." She tried stopping him but the man just caught her hands that were reaching toward his and stopped her.

"Angel, nothing is embarrassing about this. And we will take a bath after I will clean you up. Now, relax, and let me take care of you." His voice was so soft and warm that Emily couldn’t resist anymore even if she wanted.

So, she just relaxed like he wanted her to and allowed him to clean her up even though she still couldn’t stop feeling embarrassed.

Kaiden took his time as he wiped her body and once he was done, he again disappeared somewhere, probably into the bathroom.

Emily, on the other hand, was again overtaken by embarrassment when she noticed the condition of the mattress. She had completely ruined it and she had no idea what she should do about it.

The easiest way to take care of it should have been her magic but the problem was - she wasn’t allowed to use her powers.

She was lost in her thoughts when Kaiden returned to the room and headed straight toward her. "Let’s go." He didn’t clear where they were going but she guessed it was probably the bathroom.

Before she could have made a move to climb down from the bed, the man stopped her in his arms and started walking toward their destination.

She wanted to protest and tell the man that she could walk on her own but right at that very moment, she felt her nether region aching which made her keep her mouth shut.

The man took her to a luxurious bathroom and only stopped when they were next to a jacuzzi that was filled with bubbles and a faint smell of lavender was drafting from the water - her favorite smell.

What perplexed Emily was the long glass window next to the tub that was overlooking the outside view, leaving the two of them completely exposed to anyone watching from the outside.

It was like Kaiden noticed her horrified reaction before she could question his sensibility out loud. "Don’t worry, Angel. It’s a one-way glass. No one will be able to see us."

The sigh of relief that escaped Emily’s lips almost instantly was inevitable and so was the chuckle that came from Kaiden after seeing her reaction.

He slowly placed her into the Jacuzzi before following suit, surprising Emily in the process.

"Why are looking at me like that?" Kaiden asked as he settled down with his back resting against the tub wall and then he was pulling her to sit in front of him with her back pressed against his chest.

"Why are you here too?" Emily asked though she allowed him to pull her close to him and even relaxed instantly in his arms.

Kaiden chuckled as he took out the showerhead and started checking the water pressure and temperature. "Who’s gonna take care of you if I won’t stay here with you?" He asked right before he signaled her to scoot forward.

She did as he wanted and then she felt his fingers running down her hair that were a mass of curls at the moment. Then she felt the water running down her scalp and the long locks as he started washing her hair.

A long sigh escaped her mouth as she relaxed and allowed him to do whatever he wanted.

"This is the shampoo you use, right?" Kaiden asked as he showed her the brand-new bottle of her favorite shampoo.

"How did you find out?" Emily asked in surprise as she watched him open the seal before squeezing out shampoo on his palm and mixing it well between his palms.

"You know that wolves have sharp senses, right?" He responded with a question of his own as he started applying the shampoo to her hair.

Emily smiled as she allowed herself to enjoy the service her mate was providing.

He shampooed her hair and massaged her scalp before rinsing them off. He then squeezed out all the water from her hair before applying the conditioner.

But that wasn’t the ending as he even washed her body with her favorite body wash.

They soaked in the water for a while before finally stepping out of the tub.

Once they were done with the night care routine, the two of them finally returned to the freshly made bed to get some much-needed sleep.
