The Broken Halo-Chapter 134: Pigs Cannot Look At The Sky
’The classes for this new year’s batch starts tomorrow. I need to know how he does in each class. I need to know which classes he excels in and which class he struggles with.’
’I’ll also need to find a way to make him fail his tests. Even if he doesn’t fail, if I can make him get average grades, his value in the eyes of the clan would drastically reduce.’
’But the problem is how to make him fail and perform poorly in his classes. I can’t depend on him failing on his own because of what he did in the trials.’
’I’ll take matters into my hands, and worst comes to worse, I’ll find a way to kill him before he kills me.’
’His eyes back then... They were exceedingly calm and lacked one bit of fear. However, I could see the desire to kill me in his eyes. They were hidden in the depths of his eyes, but I know that the kid would try to kill me once he gets the opportunity.’
’I should prepare for such a situation in advance. It’s either he dies or I die.’
Pellin was so engrossed in his thoughts as he walked across the causeway, crossed a few bridges, then finally appeared at his house.
He had an absent-minded expression as he placed his key into the key hole of his door, turned it, and opened it.
He entered his home, but just as he was about to close the door, a hand suddenly slammed on the door, causing a loud bang!
The demons around glanced in Pellin’s direction for a moment, but when they saw that it was Pellin’s home and they also saw a recognizable face in front of his home.
"Turo?" Pellin said with a frown as he stared at the familiar face in front of him.
The demon was humanoid but had a dog face and a cut across his right eye. This was the demon dog that tortured Simon before Pellin.
He was panting heavily with sweat dripping from his face, and what could only be an extremely anxious and horrified expression could also be seen on his face.
Pellin noticed this, and he could not help but frown deeply.
"What’s wrong, Turo? Why are you here?"
Despite Pellin’s question, Turo tried to speak but all that came out was a rough and pained cough.
He covered his mouth, then he dryly said.
"W-w-water."
His voice was extremely rough like a man who had not drank water in ages.
Pellin’s frown deepened, and he moved to the side and allowed Turo to enter his home.
"Come in and take a seat. I’ll get you some water. Then you better tell me what the hell is wrong."
Turo nodded his head vehemently, then he stumbled inside, allowing Pellin to close the door.
Pellin locked the door, dropped the key on the table close to the door, then he walked to his kitchen to get some water for Turo.
A few minutes later, he came out of the kitchen with a glass of water, gave it to Turo who was sitting with his head hung low and sweat still dripping from his face.
"Here. Take it."
Turo took the glass water from Pellin, and just as the demon pig turned...
Puchi!
"Huh?"
Pellin looked down in a daze, only to see a long black blade with a crimson edge piercing out of his stomach.
Cough!
He coughed out a mouthful of blood, then the black blade in his stomach was pulled out slowly, causing him more pain.
"Argh." He grunted in pain.
"Seriously? Just this small amount of pain and you’re grunting? I thought as somebody who loves to torture, you yourself should be used to the pain. But I guess you’re not."
A familiar voice which he would never forget drifted into his ears from behind him, and Pellin’s pupils shook heavily. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
"How?"
With gritted teeth, he turned around. And just as he expected, he saw the familiar face of the child he hated and desired the most... Blackmoon.
"How are you here? How did you become Turo?"
Pellin asked while taking a step back with his right hand on his bleeding stomach.
Simon stared at him with a dark gaze that seemed to swallow all light. He watched indifferently as Pellin was backing away from him in fear.
"Seeing you right now. I would not deny that I have an immense urge to do to you a hundred times what you did to me. But fortunately for you, I can’t do that because of our environment."
Simon shook his head with a regrettable expression, then he took a step forward with the blood stained Chaos Blade in his right hand.
"The one person I genuinely want to torture and cause excruciating pain is protected by the environment. How unfortunate."
Pellin’s eyes widened at Simon’s words.
"You can’t kill me. You’re a slave. Do you know the repercussions you’d face if you kill me? You’d die."
Simon’s lips curled up slightly.
"Maybe. Maybe not. It’s not hundred percent certain I’ll die. But what I can tell you is that it’s hundred percent certain that today would be your last."
Pellin gritted his teeth, then his eyes flashed with a dark brown light as he circulated his demonic energy.
However...
Simon suddenly stretched out his left hand, and the Chaos Wraps moved at a speed Pellin could not react to, wrapping itself around Pellin’s neck.
Pellin’s eyes widened in shock as he tried to tear off the Chaos Wraps around his neck.
But how could he accomplish such a feat?
Bang!
Simon swung his left arm down, causing Pellin to fall face flat into the ground, as the Chaos Wraps acted like chains round his neck.
"Sorry, but I can’t allow you to use your demonic energy and chaos. It’ll cause too much of a commotion, and that would definitely cause me lots of problems."
Step
Step
Step
Simon suddenly stopped in front of him.
"Hey. Let’s play a game. It’s called Simon says, and Simon says look at the ceiling of your house without tilting your head, looking sideways, and lying your back. Stare at it for five seconds, then I’ll let you live."
