The Broken Halo-Chapter 199: Lord Akaza!
The expressions of the remaining conscious members of the Iron Fangs was one of disbelief and shock when they saw Simon shatter a glacier with his bare hands while coming out without any injury on his hand.
The only injury on Simon’s body were the cuts from the fragments of the ice, but such injuries were superficial and nothing.
How could Simon shatter a glacier with nothing but his bare fist?
He wore no gauntlets, used no weapons, shields, or armors, and had no artifacts.
The only thing he had were black wrappings around his entire hand and arm.
Nothing else.
Simon had used nothing but his bare fists and demonic energy to completely shatter a glacier.
It was completely absurd to them.
But what this people did not know was that Simon had the strength of a Supreme Archfiend.
Blue Fang was just a Prime Archfiend, and there was no way his ice attack could contest with Simon who had an absurd physical strength, immense control over his demonic energy, and a unique and vast quantity of his demonic energy.
Not only that, the Chaos Wraps protected his hands and arms in an explicable way, and damaging his hands and arms was not easy feat.
Simon felt a stinging pain in his hand when he destroyed the glacier, but that was all. It was a pain he could ignore, and ignore he did.
Meanwhile, for those who were perceptive enough, they noticed something the moment Simon used 50% of his demonic energy.
There was a certain heat that was emitted from Simon’s demonic energy, and this heat was something that only demons with a Burning Heart possessed.
Crash
Bam
Bang
The sound of large ice blocks smashing through the roof of the liquor shop, then falling and crashing into the ground was a sight to behold.
The Iron Fangs quickly came out of their stunned states and either dodged or protected themselves and their unconscious comrades from the falling ice blocks.
Simon gently landed on the roof, then he stepped into a hole and fell back into the building despite the raining ice blocks.
Some moments later, everywhere became calm and the raining ice blocks stopped.
The treasured and loved headquarters of the Iron Fangs was no more. Ice blocks could be seen scattered all around. The floor was broken in several places. The windows and doors were shattered. The pillars of the building were also broken, and the roof could no longer be called a roof.
The Iron Fangs looked around in disbelief, not believing what their eyes were showing them.
Their goal was to teach an arrogant and foolish Year One Lesser Demon and slave a lesson for going against them, but how did it come to this that their home was now destroyed in the process?
How were their comrades dead but their target was still standing in one piece?
Despite experiencing and seeing everything happen right in front of their eyes, they still could not understand how Simon was able to cause so much damage and death to their group.
All eyes were on Simon, and despite the fact that he stood nonchalantly while being surrounded did not give them the confidence to fight him.
The broken smile on his mask also gave them a sense of unease they couldn’t even begin to explain, and though they could not see Simon’s face, the mask made it seem like he was smiling devilishly at their demise and destruction.
Crash
Step
Step
Geryan stepped forward from the wall he crashed into. His gaze were on Simon, and the light in his eyes were filled with wariness, confusion, and immense fury as he stared at Simon.
A few moments later, he stood at approximately ten meters in front of Simon with his dark grey axes in both hands.
"You... You’re not a Lesser Demon. You’re a Fiend."
Simon calmly raised a brow. "Took you guys long enough to realize. Are you certain you’re actually students of the academy? Truly failures and disappointments."
Simon shook his head as he spoke with a disappointed tone, and Geryan frowned.
He knew that Simon was trying to rile him up and let his anger take control of him, but he was now more wary of Simon.
He couldn’t treat him like an ant anymore.
"I don’t know how you advanced from being a Superior Lesser Demon to a Minor Fiend in less than a day, but today is going to be your last."
He pointed his right axe at him, his eyes blazing with immense killing intent.
"This, I promise you."
Simon remained silent, then his lips curled up behind his mask and he sneered.
"You talk too much. Come."
Geryan clenched his axe tightly, then without saying a single word, the ground shattered beneath his feet and he suddenly appeared in front of Simon with his right axe swinging from below.
The ground suddenly broke into pieces and the pieces covered the blade of the axe, enlarging the blade and turning it into something else entirely.
No longer was the axe an axe, it was now a hammer made out of stone.
Simon’s eyes widened slightly when he saw this, but he was calm regardless of Geryan’s attack.
His right leg moved at an extremely fast speed, and he kicked the right arm of Geryan which was holding the axe.
His demonic energy enhanced leg and foot combined with his physical strength nearly shattered the right arm of Geryan, and he was forced to leave the weapon.
Bang!
The stone hammer fell and crumbled to pieces, going back to its original axe form.
At the same time, Simon held the left wrist of Geryan which was swinging down his other axe at his neck.
And without wasting a single second, he swung his left fist at Geryan’s chest.
Bam!
Geryan felt an immense force nearly shatter his ribs and several other bones in his body.
Simon did not stop, he twisted Geryan’s left arm, forcing him to scream and drop his axe.
Then he launched a myriad of punches on Geryan.
Bam!
Bang!
Bam!
Bang!
Head, right chest, left chest, stomach, shoulder, the temple, and the waist.
Simon punched Geryan in every part of his upper body aside from the lethal places that could kill him or cripple him.
He gave Geryan no time to breathe, and no matter how far back Geryan stumbled backwards, Simon followed and kept on punching and disgracing him in front of his subordinates.
And for some reason Geryan couldn’t understand, Simon’s punches hurt him a lot even when he was coating his entire body with his demonic energy.
What he did not know was that while he was coating his entire body with about ten percent of his demonic energy, Simon was using between 30-40% of his demonic energy in every punch and kick he landed on Geryan.
Paired with the Miser’s Ring, his nigh perfect control of demonic energy, the passive absorption of demonic energy by Devour, his consumption of demonic energy was very little.
Every single one of Simon’s punches and kicks were powerful, and if not for the fact that Simon refused to completely shatter Geryan’s mask because of a fine he’d have to pay, he would have done so a long time ago and disfigured Geryan’s face.
BOOM!
Simon gave one last punch on Geryan’s stomach, and Geryan flew like a rag doll, crashing into the wall and flying out of it in the process.
Silence
A deep and extremely tense silence engulfed the liquor store.
The rock music had ended a long time ago because Blue Fang’s wide scale glacial attack destroyed it in the process.
All the members of the Iron Fangs all stared at Geryan and Simon in disbelief and shock.
They couldn’t move, and they couldn’t speak.
They were just rooted on the spot.
Simon did not care about this though.
He took a step forward and wanted to drag back Geryan’s body from outside, but the moment he took a step, a chill spread across his body and a deep frown appeared on his face.
A deathly pressure and gaze landed on him, and he looked at the destroyed door.
A second later, a figure stepped through it.
The moment the figure entered the ruined and destroyed liquor shop, every member of the Iron Fangs got on one knee.
"We greet Lord Akaza!"
