The dragon's harem-Chapter 1258: A Hurried Plan
All the monsters in the chasm wanted to flee, but Arad was faster. He took back control from Tyal and flapped his wings, flying through the hordes of monsters and ripping them apart in seconds.
Tyal gasped as she held for her life on the back of his neck. The shaking was almost to make her throw her lunch out, but thankfully, Arad finished the monsters quickly.
"What's the matter?" She cried, and Arad halted his flight, remaining silent for a long moment before replying.
"A huge problem. Another abomination rose in the Volcanic Titans' kingdom. I have to send one of my incarnations there to deal with him. This means we have to wrap things up here quickly." He looked at the endless depths of the chasm.

"Zeus, we don't have any time. If we dally too much, the Volcanic Titan kingdom would get destroyed and a flood of monsters would ravage the world. I don't know what kind of horror hole they guard, but I'm sure it's just as vast and deadly as this chasm." Arad looked at Zeus, who alone on the cooled magma, holding a blinding spark of lightning in his hand.
Arad had managed to separate the lightning portfolio from what Kayden gave him.
The plan was now to turn Zeus into a lightning god, or at least a demi-god. Which now made Arad think. Zeus has less talent for godhood than even Mira. She just needed to touch the portfolio to absorb it while he was here, trying to tame it.
"I got it, just give this old man some slack, would you? I'm old and my bones aren't as strong as yours." Zeus scowled as the lightning in his hands surged with power.
"Just hurry, I can't stay here for long." He looked back at what remained of Cronos's corpse. He has to stay here and prevent the monsters from devouring it. The plan was for Zeus to drag Cronos's corpse out and claim that he came back to life with divine-hood to slay the overtaken first emperor of the Storm Titans and put an end to the Cronos Raptur.
But in the meantime, Arad had another problem to worry about, Tina. At the time, Arad was still in his office working on some papers. Night still didn't arrive in Alina, unlike the university.
Arad lifted his head, and Isdis immediately noticed that something must've happened.
What kind of Queen would she be if she can't even understand her king's feelings and intentions? What kind of wife would she even be?
"Did something happen with your other incarnations?"
"A powerful abomination would soon strike the Volcanic Titan's kingdom, and what worries me more. Tina's situation is going to suddenly get worse, rapidly." He stood and approached the door. "Call Tina."
One of the two guards that stood outside looked at the door with a surprised face and nodded.
Her voice came a bit hoarse. She had never been addressed by the Emperor since Queen Cerilla put him there as a guard.
"At once!" She gasped and rushed away with hurried steps.
Moments later, Tina rushed into the office and walked inside with a worried face. Arad had never called her like this before. He always used to give her some time, like telling her to come as soon as she could.
Arad looked at her for a moment and then stood, "Follow me inside."
The two of them headed deep into the royal's personal quarter and ended up in Arad's room. It was now fully empty without a single maid inside.
"Want the full story or just what you need to know?" Arad sat down, and Tina remained silent. After a while, she replied, "Tell me only what I need to know; if it is insufficient, I'll ask questions."
"From now on, you'll have to remain by my side at all times, no matter what. You can't leave my sight for any reason."
She looked at him, "What about the bathroom?"
"I'll be standing at the door."
She sighed, "Is this my fault?" She looked a bit worried and sad.
"No, it isn't your fault."
"Then I'm fine." Tina smiled at him. "As long as it's not something bad that I can fix, all I have to do is trust you now. Right?"
"Honestly, I have no reason to hide the details from you, but I feel like it would be for the best. All of your duties are now replaced with the single order to stay beside me at all times." He stood, "And..." He remained silent, trying to think a bit.
"I wanted to ask, how are you feeling? Can I take a look at your soul?" While Arad could've just looked at her soul. The discomfort carried by such a thing wasn't a thing that he was willing to put Tina through without warning her first. That was going to make observing her soul even harder now if he didn't want her to find out that her soul would soon crumble rapidly. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ
"I'm doing fine, just as usual. Take a look."
Hearing her immediate response, Arad smiled and looked at her for a moment. "Hold tight."
He took a quick look at her soul, it indeed looked fine for now. But since Yog had made the effort to warn him, that means something bad will happen soon, a drastic change that will send Tina's soul into a rapid spiral toward her death.
"Good, your soul looks to be still somewhat stable." He looked at her, "I've been making some progress in the study of souls. No, I know a few things about them, and I might be able to find a way of helping you. Do you mind if I look at your soul often?"
"Just tell a moment before you do it. The dreadful feeling is a bit too much to take by surprise." She nodded, and the two of them quickly returned to the office. Now, Tina stood beside him, not moving.
"Get a chair, you'll be there for a long time."
She didn't argue with him and dragged one of the chairs to rest on it for a bit.
Now, Arad had to think about which reincarnation he would send to the Volcanic Titans' kingdom. In the best-case scenario, he would send the one at the university directly with Tempo.
Since they'll be facing a lot of fire, he was thinking of taking Eris, Amber, and probably Kory with him.
